The phrasing is a bit off, but they did from the moment of the second dream, which happened at the end of the old war. The actual issue there is it wasn't Margullis who put them in the second dream it was Lotus. Though Margullis did try to fix their trauma.
@@KingTaltia The Second Dream didn't begin at the end of the Old War. That's was the Long Dream, as Lotus described in Chains of Harrow. Second Dream is just an artistic way of saying transference. The Dream is when the Tenno sleep, floating in nothingness. When they use the pod based transference tech, it feels like waking up from that Dream, but they are in a Second Dream, in which they dream of being a Warframe.
yeah because duvuri is a new openworld, and the zariman ship (think)is supposed to be a hub like fortuna or cetus. duviri will be the openworld for zariman
I imagine there'll be at least 3 months of patching the Angels update, then nose to the grindstone on cross-save for the rest of the year. I doubt Duviri is coming this year

as someone already said, due to eternalism all possible Zarimans existed in the void, the question of a connection to the character is ... well for the character himself only experienced one strand of time, but infinite different ways the history of the zariman played out. in some universes the Zariman even have succesfully jumped and in some way they are all connected over the void. maybe the Tenno will some day learn to navigate the void to even the Zariman who made it to tau or to the time they could still save their own parents from the accident. maybe even all of the parents.
what happened with the void corruption of the Zariman is SCP tier horrifying. And I was hoping for a post Angels breakdown of it. Throughout the ship the shapes these once humans get twisted into are definitely disturbing.
Great Video! Looking forward to the expansion! Nearly finished replaying The New War, so that will lead in nicely (hopefully) The only problem with WarFrame (something I wish DE could change) is only being able to play the Quests single player, that and the fact that so much amazing content is locked behind hours of grinding; friends just haven't been tempted to start playing due to the amount of filler you need to experience before getting to the meat and potatoes
Depends on how you look at it. I started playing back in 2014 and at that time there basically was no lore. The gameplay itself with all the grind was the meat and potatoes of the game. The focus on lore came later and that is when we started to see a shift in updates being more focused on the story.

I know that certain quests have always been locked behind level requirements / star chart progress, but the more time that goes on, new players will continually experience the need to conquer certain parts of the game before they are even near to The Second Dream, or Chains Of Harrow quest - if DE could initiate Coop Quests, this would help as it is annoying when you have to say to a friend, "okay, now you need to this part of the game alone" I understand this might be difficult due to the structure of some quests, especially The Second Dream, but like I said, it doesn't make it suck any less
@@ZFG__Gaming Oh my comment was just regarding the meat and potatoes part. I'll respond to the rest now. I definitely dislike the grind that the game is because there is no end goal to the grind. You grind to get better gear so you can grind faster. I doubt that they will ever move away from it though. Having requirements for quests makes sense to a degree. It might be enough to incentivize some players to spend money on platinum to skip certain things. You need to understand that Warframe is free to play, but the developers still need some ways to make money. Tennogen is one, Prime access is another, etc. From our perspective as gamers, any type of annoying barrier is well.... annoying, but from the company's perspective these barriers need to exist otherwise nobody would spend real money. I know this because I worked for a game development company that also makes free to play games. And trust me, Warframes' barriers are really good compared to the barriers I worked on such as adding advertisements in-game to provide "free loot".

Plus daily login rewards, not to mention the ability to grind and then trade items for the premium currency. Admittedly, I didn't consider the options of buying frames / skins so yes, there is definitely some needed balance. I have personally only bought plat' once, and have otherwise just traded for plat'

I bought platinum a few times using the 75% discount simply because I moved to China and basically lost the ability to play together with others because Chinese internet sucks. Otherwise I never would have spent real money on the game.
I one hundred percent want the option to side with Wally! Siding with unfathomable eldritch forces for power sounds like an awesome option to have. Not to mention, taking my marching orders from a Yog-Sothoth expy sound hilarious.

the bit where they talk about the children and why bring them onboard. saying they didnt bring children onboard might also mean a couple of other things not involving the multiverse. one being they didnt bring the children but somehow they did get on the ship... or they didnt bring ''children'', but they brought weapons or something. and personally i wish warframe didnt go into multiverse territory. its a difficult concept to write good stories about in a way that delivers on the possibilities that it brings. and while i do think warframe has some good writing, it doesnt have enough to show me that they can write a multiverse story that isnt just as bad as all the other shit out there involving a multiverse. and yes i am being critical here, because i dont want just a story thats good enough, i want a story thats at the very least great. and while i think DE writers can make great stories, im not sure if they can handle the difficulty of making a great with a multiverse. and a part of me doesnt trust DE to not abuse the concept of the multiverse and get lazy with their writing and thinking and just take the easy way out of any corners they write themselves in. a competent writer can find ways out of that corner without using cheap tricks like timetravel or a multiverse, and once again, im not confident DE has the writers to do this.
I agree with you on the points you make. Also have to add that my wife, who loves well-written stories and games with lore, absolutely despises Warframe lore and story because it is so poorly thought out and written, overall, that she only plays Warframe for the gameplay. She also hates being forced to solo much of the story quests nowadays because she despises the writing so much.
Well if it leads to new game play and not just the same sh@t different place then its welcome. Hopefully not redoing same basic stuff with new backgrounds.

To me warframe story/lore feels like hopscotch more than baby steps. Going in a direction but with a bit too much info scattered in different squares making it feel disconnected at a lot of points. It's actually one of the biggest complaints I hear from people, that I've talked to, about getting into warframe. They don't know what's going on or where to go after just a couple of the main story quests. So they just quit and would play destiny 2 or back when it existed, anthem.
Personally, I've learned not to expect much from these updates. We get a minimal effort project that's half finished when released and even after they patch it so many times, it's still not what they hyped (lookin at you "New War"). Maybe it will be okay. Gyre will most likely be a disappointment as well knowing their track record. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Sorry, but the Zaraman is just creepy. Even if its repurposed, and you can build and decorate the remainants however you want; its still totally creepy. Theres no changing what went down there. To think that DE would think children, who had to kill their parents in their old ship, after some seriously freaky shit happened, that changed them at a fundamental level; would then want to return there to that same ship, no matter how many years had passed.. its kinda wierd to me. Its like saying," hey kids, want to go back to the site of the worst tradgety of your life and make it into your home base, where you will live, work from, and sleep at from now on?" It will be fun, we promise! I sure as heck wouldn't. DE's getting a bit stranger in their later years, and that's saying something given their starting lore lol.🤣
