4 Braid Round Plait - Actual Technique Explained

This how I do my round 4 braid plaits for my pounamu pendants. I use 1mm waxed polyester cord from Caudwell.co.nz.
You mix and match any colours you like.

So I use to be a bullwhip maker and pretty much every other round plait is pretty similar. On my pendants I usually braid 8 plait

Kia ora bro, are you using 1mm waxed cord for this braid? Also have you noticed depending on supplier some 1mm waxed cord are thicker or thinner than others? Ngaa mihi..

Yea 1mm, yep it can vary but hasn't been an issue for me yet
