Super handy, I was thinking of doing the lashing on a carved pendant I have planned in the style of a toki lashing, this is great, thank you!

A great camera angle shows your process perfectly. Thanks for sharing. It was a lashing video you did long ago that inspired me to carve a pendant just so I could make a lash like yours, I used Elk bone not stone. Think I might have to find me a stone. :))

Glad it was helpful! I would love to see what you made!

That’s a nice piece of stone! The angle is good but you need to adjust your cameras frame rate to stop the flickering.

Thanks for the tip, should I increase it or slow it down?

@@CampbellCarving no worries. It’s hard to know because it depends on the frequency your lights are flickering at. It’s best to just experiment. If you can, hook your camera up to a monitor so you can see what’s happening and adjust your frame rate until it’s gone :)

Looks amazing like every piece you make. I’ve seen you use the #1 black waxed cotton cordage to wrap with but not this tan cordage. What exactly is it ?

It is the same product, just with a different colour, there are about 15 different colours and shades at least in this product.

Hi Campbell. Can is send you somehow a PM. I am a (hobby) carver in Finland, who works with Ponamu (which I bought, when I was in NZ), but now I am out of Ponamu rough and it is very difficult to find good rough online. Maybe you know a source? I work now with nephrite from Canada , but somehow it doesn't feel the same even if it is the same stone .
