Hey John; Great choice. I am originally from the UK, and Pickled onions are a favourite Pub Ale house and Christmas favourite. Don't have Canning facility, so I just boil in a similar mix as you, and refrigerate and share and eat over a few weeks. An amazingly tasty compliment to any strong Cheese IMHO. Thanks for the Video. Keep well and be Blessed ALL here.
Grew up with these from the grogery. We still have them here in our local stores in Canada, I like the less sweet plain versions, no spices, just white vinegar, a little sugar to soften the vinegar and that's it. One of my fav snacks to this day.

Thanks Tater. I could totally see a big jar of these sitting on the bar at a pub. Anyhow, I will have to try them with some good cheese.
@@GreatLakesPrepping And best with home made fresh bread etc. Let me know how it works out.
Great video! My grandmother had a pantry with these tasty gems, but she never thought I'd be interested in knowing how to make them. Thanks.

Fairly certain I've seen them for sale at the Horrocks in Lansing. Never eaten any though.✌️🇺🇸
