I do a lot of Woodworking projects out of pallet wood and know the difficulties in dealing with this kind of wood. But what you built here is amazing and inspiring for me to step my game up! This build definitely earned you another subscriber, can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Cheers!
You’re welcome man and thank you! We all need some good inspiration and kind words from time to time, keeps us motivated in this crazy world! Always pay it forward. God Bless.
Thank you so much for your production , It is so pleasant to HEAR your chosen background music . I have had to not HEAR a lot of videos. Because it was not pleasant Pounding , sawing is part of building .. . As I said I really like your production the music's not too loud overpowering and you making nice shop.
U are on the other side of the world, have other tools and other pallets... but u have the same passion and this build cost only your time. Keep up, like your content.
I can't help think off the samplers that you ladies ti show their skills. This has a variety of different joinery both machine and hand tool to qualify a woodworking sampler. Great job Jim.
Great job Jim. Recently I have watched. a lot of youtube videos where people have used plywood and pallet woods to make something reasonable. It still amazes me at the tones, the chatter of the timbers and the overall effect, from these (most of the time), free woods. Hope you don’t mind if I copy? Just need to buy all the planes now Ha Ha. You have to justify it to yourself some how. Isn’t the saying, “ build it and they will come”. I just keep referring that to tools I want😂m just don’t tell my missus, Cheers, Sean
I watched the whole series, I have a few comments using the router for the finger joints it might help to place a mirror on the router fence to help you see behind the jig, and during glue up titebond 3 has a long working time. just suggestions.
Very nice! Please be careful with the pallet wood though. Some of it is very toxic and you wouldnt know it by sight. Lots of chemicals transported and spilled on these pallets. And please don't burn it in your little woodstove! Just trying to look out for ya! Love the vids! Very inspiring and I have learned a great deal.
What do you do with the 2x4s left over full of nails? I haven't figured out a good use for them yet. I am just not starting my life into woodworking. Thank you.
Excellent job! I want a rack for my planes. I want to build a cordless recharging drill station also. Very similar to the one you have on your wall. Need some suggestions on how to get decent used pallets delivered to my house! I was in an accident a few years ago. And because of some physical issues I can’t drive. I can do just about anything else... pretty frustrating! Any ideas would be appreciated!!
LastingBuild I might call around a little! Several companies get pretty tight and recycle them until there isn’t enough left. I use to work in a machine shop and if we got new equipment. The pallet crating for them was pretty impressive, we scrapped them out!
Gorgeous! Only question I have is since that was solid wood, would it have been better if you didn't glue the tongue and groove so it has the ability to move around some, just wondering.
Hello. Me and my brother want to build a garden for our mom. She has cancer so we thought raised beds with pallets. We have some allowance saved up and need to know what tools we need by name and maybe where we can get free pallets. Thanks.
I personally would not use pallets for anything that will be used for an edible garden. Possibility of chemicals leaching into soil. You could get by with a circular saw and hammer and nails.
I work a lot with pallet wood. A local closet design shop gets many materials from Canada where they use some oak, cherry and poplar in their pallets. Great wood if you know what to look for. A lot of garbage out there though...
You are very good at your craft and this project is awesome. Great joinery skills too... now if only you could stop sharpening your pencil with a dull toothed beaver! Cheers from Ontario!
Look mate I am not a troll but watching this vid made me want to say something. First up I love your work, very talented and the end results are always great. Watching this one was like getting teeth pulled at the dentist. 3 min in and I was getting annoyed with the music and was starting to get bored. 5 min in and I had enough, the music was too over powering. Then I see 38000 views with only 700 likes and I knew I wasn't the only one. It's your channel and you do what you want but all I'll say is I love your work but watching the vids can sometimes be hard. Cheers
Linseed oil brushes on easily and you have much less waste and mess than using your hands. Use a smaller coffee can you can just leave the brush, (I use a cheap chip brush) put the lid on and it is ready for the next use and no brush cleaning.
background music 2nd half of video is a "soundalike" of Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" sounds like the song but different enough to avoid copyright infringement
Здравствуй. Почем стоит древесина метр кубический? Вы не боитесь испортить ножи? У нас в России древесина стоит 120 Hi. How much is wood cubic meter? Do you mess up knives? In Russia, wood costs 120 usd.
The background music is unbearable I watch more than 30 seconds and turn it off , why would you make your video unwatchable by adding that to , release the same video without background music and I but more people like it
Great work on the pallet wood videos don't stop they are very education and keep up the great work
Thanks! I’ve got tons of pallet wood so stay tuned!
The corner of cabinet is detailed and your woodwork is elaborate. Thanks for the useful things and detailed design.
Fabulous work, Jim! I'm all for resourceful recycling. It sure is rewarding to have made such a beautiful piece out of something regarded as scrap 👏🏻
Thank you very much!
Well said. I’m liking the “ French cleat” installation
I like the detail you put into all of your projects. You really did great on this project.
Thank you!

I never thought of the mirror idea!
LastingBuild It looked like in the background there was a brace and bit hand drill rack do you have a video of that
Very nicely done reclaimed wood project. Although I didn’t appreciate the click bait title. Came here thinking it would be some pallet wood tips...
Thanks for watching! I do have a pallet wood playlist that goes over many of the details with lots of tips!
Iam in the same boat on both counts!
They are some smoooth boards! Very nice work :) Would of taken us ages to build our pallet wall if we did this haha
it is very labor intensive.
Great ideal
Thanks
I just love this stuff,,just subscribed 😀😀👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
David welcome! Thanks

Nice diy job! I have done sone projects from pallets and posted to my chanell. I did not regred it. Keep on!!!
Thanks

I suspect there are some local companies that would drop them off to you just to get rid of them
LastingBuild I might call around a little! Several companies get pretty tight and recycle them until there isn’t enough left. I use to work in a machine shop and if we got new equipment. The pallet crating for them was pretty impressive, we scrapped them out!
LastingBuild no harm in trying! I have even thought about posting an ad on our local Craigslist. But there is always a risk involved with that...
Does your jig that you use for straight edges substitute for a jointer machine?
Drake Williams it does for straight edging the boards!
Super
Thank you!
Gorgeous! Only question I have is since that was solid wood, would it have been better if you didn't glue the tongue and groove so it has the ability to move around some, just wondering.
Good question! I think I may address that on an upcoming video!
It didn't need the T&G at all just glue and clamps.

Hey Jim, I got a table saw similar to the one you use. Did you have to do anything to tune it up to cut square or was it good out of the box?
No tuning! Certainly no cabinet saw but does very good job for the cost!
LastingBuild awesome. Thanks for the reply!
That’s funny your name is Jim too😂😂
😂
You have use a jointer before using a planer.
background music 2nd half of video is a "soundalike" of Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" sounds like the song but different enough to avoid copyright infringement
That turned out very nice, time to build a machinist toolbox?
That would b nice!
Trying to find the link for the 3/8 router bit set? Help
www.infinitytools.com/tongue-groove-router-bits-for-thin-stock
$50000 worth of tools are required, but the wood is free!
It would be awesome to have 50K worth of tools!

Hi. How much is wood cubic meter? Do you mess up knives? In Russia, wood costs 120 usd.
Hello from across the pond! I’m not sure, will need to research that!
Looks very nice Maybe look at my video using reclaimed fence in my garage
ZI think your title is a little misleading
Woodprix has very good designs and plans.
thats a lot of expensive tools
Misleading title
