      Mfs without the glasses never understood it. Telling you to “Pull your mask up” I’d always put the mask below my nose so that my glasses wouldn’t fog. Cause when they fogged It would leave me temporary blind . That or I’d do really slow light breathing which would still fog them but less. But instead leave me dying for real OXYGEN. it should of been illegal for them to require ppl to do that in my opinion.

      And if it not works... Then directly go to ICL surgery..... It's better than lasik and obviously you are suitable.. Candidate for ICL...... Lasik is good if you have luck.... Otherwise don't damage your eyes permanat....... 🙃

    Thank you for your story. I used to be -8.00 in both eyes with astigmatism in both. I got turned down twice for LASIK. I just recently went back to the first doc I saw on my first consultation who told me years ago ( about 15 or 20 ago) that my corneas were too thin and my prescription was outside of the scope of what the lasers could correct. The Dr. Told me to come back because the technology is always getting better. I just went on Wed and got approved for LASIK and my prescription is now -6.50 and -7.00 with only a slight astigmatism.One thing I will tell anyone who is getting a consultation is if you wear soft contacts, do not wear them for at least 3-4 weeks before the appointment . If you don’t wear your contacts, the cornea will go back to it’s normal thickness and shape so the doctor will be able to see the exact thickness of your cornea.This is what I did differently and what helped with getting approved.

      @@KellaLily I was told I could only get PRK a long time ago but I held out and tried more doctors. One doctor told me I couldn’t get Smile surgery and told me to replace my lenses in my eyes with intraocular lenses which is cataract surgery! He also told me it would cost $15,000 not covered by insurance and that I was developing a cataract. My LASIK cost $4350 and I financed it through Alphaeon. I would go to a few more consultations after leaving contacts out ( if you wear them) for about 3-4 weeks and then see what they say. I will tell you that when you get older and can’t see up close, your distance prescription gets better so less tissue has to be removed from your cornea. I still wear readers for close vision but even that has improved since LASIK. I’m 54 so I am ok w readers because I already wore them before I got surgery. It will be 2 years in June and I would do it again 1000%

    • @KellaLily
      @KellaLily ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rap111unzel thanks for your advice. I wore my glasses for 4 weeks prior to the consultation and another consultation is going to happen prior to surgery day. At least they charge the same amount for prk as Lasik with the clinic I'm going to work with. You can have less issues with dry eye in the long run with prk, so I'm looking at that as a silver lining to the longer recovery since I already have minor dryness. I'm in my early 30s and hoping to get at least 10 years prior to needing reading glasses. My mom got her correction while removing her cataracts she didn't regret not getting reader inserts (her brother got them), I guess they cost quite a bit extra and there can still be complications with them, wearing reading glasses doesn't bother her too much, it's nice to wake up and be able to see.

    My eyes are similar to yours,so this is super interesting to me. ~-8 with astigmatism, been wearing glasses for a long time too. However the idea of surgery isn't really appealing to me. I needed surgery for my strabismus as a young teen already and that experience was a little traumatic for me. Like. It worked and I got to miss a maths test. But I had many sensory issues while recovering,my eye felt sooo gross, and the anaesthetic knocked me out for say longer than expected for an outpatient procedure.... Like sure,if I could magically have great vision? I might risk it. But the thought of getting another eye procedure is already scaring me lol

Kinda worried about the eye dryness tbh, when you mentioned in the video " grit in your eyes" that reminded me of that exact feeling i used to get when I did several 12 hr night shifts at work my eyes got so dry it felt like SAND in them🥲 but anyways! thank you for this video honey I should really just get a consultation asap when Covid clears up a bit and get my eyeballs sorted LOL xx much love 😘😘

    So I have -1,75 on both my eyes, but these days I started feelig like I need to check my eyes again after almost a year, to get another glasses because I feel like my vision is weaker now and my glasses don't "match" my vision 100%
    I hate glasses, I wish I had a perfect vision😞😞
    I am thinking of getting a laser surgery too, but I am afraid of the risks of not getting the result I wish
    I am also afraid of the dryness, yould you please give an update since it's been more than two years with you

    how long did it take for you to be back in a normal state? I have been thinking of doing this because it cost 500 dollars every year for me to get an eyeglass. I think the laser make sense
