It appears the the horn on Trevor's bike means the same thing as a police siren. At least to Trevor. "Attention other riders!! I am 300 feet behind you, please pull over to the side of the road and turn your engine off until I have completed my pass. Your quick response to my horn is appreciated, we're filming this."
Love seeing you ride a ton of different bikes Trevor in a ton of different ways. Thanks for this and everything you do with DBT. Hope to cross paths again at GH, an SRA or at an NGPC soon. Keep riding man.
I'm surprised by some of the ignorant comments on here. One guy claims the crf300l broke his friends leg! Never heard that one before. Another claims that the crf300l is a "pile" and wouldn't wish that bike on anyone. Our two young pro riders, Trevor and his buddy, seem to be having very little difficulty. Granted, they are both exceptionally talented riders but you can go just about anywhere on this bike. I'm 59 and I've got one, along with a couple other "real dirt bikes". But I have a blast on my totally stock 300l. Pretty impressive riding Trevor !
Thank you Mister Hunter for those valuable words. Your son said he'll have the bike back in your garage by Wednesday. I was also suppose to tell you it would be perfect if you could have his laundry dried & folded when he drops it off. Congrats on the 4th place finish in the senior class.
Flogging a new Honda, I had one of those 300's, wouldn't wish that bike on any one. I guess that can be a pretty tuff ride.. I hate the camera. thanks for sharing.
solid bikes if used for their intended purpose of light/moderate trail riding or commuting. And when in the right hands - they apparently serve as expensive Euro bike hunters too lol.
@@RickGreen_McNutt These days it could be the rider, not as good as I once was....lol but, I like my KTM"s and BETA better..Im sure a lot of people like it and that's ok, I did not.
@@dont3761 Like always, it comes down to comparing compatible bikes - usually based on price. The KTM's and BETA's are much more expensive and you can tell - there's $ in better suspension etc. If KTM offered a dual sport for the same price as the 300L, I can guarantee it wouldn't have great suspension, wouldn't be light etc. I also ride a Sherco trials bike and a Beta 2-stroke, and a 1983 Honda V65 Magna (so when I have the 'need for speed' as they say). For it's intended purpose, my CRF300L Rally does pretty well. No, the suspension, stock, wasn't great, but probably works for the typical/average rider.
How did 'the bike' snap his tib? It's the bike's fault somehow? If it was a clean uncomplicated tibial fracture (tib break), then I've read it's about a 4-6 month timeframe to fully heal. Did he have some complications with the fracture?
Epic. You and Itchy Boots selling out 300L's! 😄
lmao that horn. literally the first bump/rock you hit after getting on dirt i feel like there was a unanimous "oh shit"... and then 200 miles later.

I think you have a short in your wiring, the horn. Keeps sounding off 😵💫

We learned they can be very capable with the right riders onboard 😂
You passed me at minute 2.00
Obviously you’re in good shape. Standing is the only way to fly Gold Mountain
If that 300L was still rocking the OEM suspension, then using his legs to absorb bumps is the only way to actually have decent suspension performance.
@@adstryker5084 Mine had all the suspension done and it was still a pile.
@@dont3761 Maybe it's the rider... ha ha. 'still a pile' compared to what?

This bike snapped my friends tib in half so easily he has been out of riding for a year now was kept in hospital for 2 months ..
