@ Gina Miller You took the words out of my mouth. So many times we struggle to get things right because we are watching the "perfect results" this can become disheartening and depressing.
I remember as a little kid making doll house furniture and mini drawers for jewellery out of matchboxes. It was so much fun then, and still keeps popping up in my life now. Thanks for the memories! And yes I would love to see your version of the epic fail video. Remember it’s never a fail or mistake, it’s a creative opportunity! Maybe do a video as it is now and us subscribers may just be able to help you complete it for a part 2 😊 🇦🇺❤️
We didn't have a lot of disposable income when I was a kid, so I treasured my Barbie and learned how to make clothes and furniture out of match boxes and other items. It taught me to frugal and creative, both of which has served me well in life.
When I was teaching we used to say that "fail" only meant First Attempt In Learning. Just a step on the road to success. So I'd love to see your first attempt 😘
Definitely do the shoe organizer. I want to make the bill organizer version. Negative results are still results. A failed project video would be interesting.
Epic fails are always inspiring because you realize we're all alike and we all face defeat sometimes. Besides, you may have someone watching who has another idea to make it work. And, if not, it saves others from going through the process and wasting valuable time learning from your efforts (mistakes). So, it becomes a WIN - WIN for everyone. Love your channel and posts. Your sweet spirit is always so uplifting. Continue making these awesome videos and Thank You for your time and efforts.
Yes, let's see your Epic Fails! As suggested, someone might have the solution that you need to be successful!🤩 I really like the storage unit idea with the 📦 📦! I was way over thinking 🤔 a way to use my boxes as storage, but look- you solved my problem- thanks 😊!
I love fail videos. They teach me so much. Not only to not give up too easily but what not to do. I hate to see anyone fail at anything, least of all me, LOL. But sometimes they are a good laugh & help to keep me from getting upset & angry when things don't go as planned.
LOL. I would like to see the “failed” organizer as you called it… I have a hard time believing it is a failed attempt!!! You are so good at these things, maybe it is not perfect for you but will be awesome for someone else. LOl. STAY SAFE!!!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer Ok now I get you!! It is just I cant believe you could not make a great organizer!! LOL. You have so many good ideas and can always turn them into useable and do-able items for the rest of us to duplicate!!! I know you will, as ALWAYS, knock it out of the park!!! Can’s wait to see it!!
I see you are quickly approaching 100K subscribers. Congratulations!! No small accomplishment! It will be interesting seeing where you decide to display your silver plaque. That might create another organization and decorating opportunity. Re the fail you mentioned, I tend to learn more and rarely forget lessons learned through my own mistakes. That info tends to stay with me. It could be related to being stubborn. Mother always said 'your mistakes make you stronger and builds character '. Yet again Mother was correct.
Just started some 33"x11" shelves of corrugated (a big shipping box at last!) to be coated in glue-maché (packing paper torn up for it). An important point is to change the direction of the corrugations: point the pipes lengthwise then crosswise. It changes the strength, like they alternate grain in plywood. Much stronger that way. Much less likely to sag.
OH MY GOSH, Holly! What a very important bit of information!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! And, PLEASE take pictures of your project! I'd love to see it all finished! You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Norrine, I had to share this. When I was working we had those great printer paper boxes. The company just got rid of them. But funny enough they wouldn't let you take out an empty cardboard box to take home. But you could take it out if there was something in it. So we would toss a couple of notebooks in it and our we would go. Totally crazy.
I would love to see the 'failed' project that you are working on. You never know if maybe someone else will see what you are doing and figure out maybe something that you are not seeing! Good luck with it!
Your work and thought process is great! Now, let's share the good, the bad and the ugly. Please share with us how you get past the ones that don't work for you. That is the best road map to success. Shine on Sunshine! Blessings
I like using the fold and file method for fabric. And for larger pieces, I accordion fold and attach one end to clothes hangers with clips, then hang on a closet rod. I got that idea years ago when I saw that's how the fabric store displayed their velvet fabric. I think their clips were something that pierced through the selvedge, but regular clippy hangers work for me.
Suggestion on the thread storage box: before poking through the box bottom, take a hammer and dull the point of the nail. It will still poke through the cardboard, but won't be sharp enough anymore to poke YOU when you're reaching for thread! ;-) Those triangle tubes are something the cats would LOVE! ;-)
I live all of your ideas Norrine! We all have fails...I would not mind seeing a failed video, we can learn from each other's fails! As always, thank you for sharing your thoughts & ideas w/ us! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
Nothing wrong seeing fail videos. We learn from those too. Plus somebody out here might see what causes the fail and help you out too. Win win for everyone.
No such thing as a fail sis. Because knowledge is power! I would love to see the missmakes once you figure out how to make it work. And I have no doubt that you will figure it out! And please do the shoe organizer also. Be safe. Thank you for sharing
OMGosh! I would too!!! I found a spray paint that's pretty close. That's how I get everything to match now. We will let each other know if we find contact paper in that color!!!!
I work in the fabric department at Hobby Lobby. Every week when the truck comes in with our weekly orders, we roll existing fabric onto the new bolts. We end up throwing away a LOT of fabric bolt cores. Check your local stores to find out the day they get deliveries
Love it. I have made cardboard shelves and trays recently. Looks nice, saves money and a better option than another heavy book shelf since we are in a earthquake zone.
I would like to see your fails video. Maybe one of us has a good idea to help! But, also so we can see your thought process on these awesome ideas you always share!!
I’d love to see the shoe rack made I have a front porch that my hubby says! No more. But to upcycle boxes for our shoes snd boots I think he will love it!

Wouldn’t mind seeing the epic fail video. Maybe one of us could figure it out from your design. Loved seeing all the recycled boxes, it’s given me a few ideas.
I'd like to see what not to try to do as much as what works. In other building projects they'd be called safety tips. Haha! This was a terrific video and some of the configurations are very helpful. I have all sizes of fabrics so seeing that vertical storage method makes so much sense since that's how the stores have most of it. I think if many of our craft supplies are displayed like a shop they'd be tidier and not so out of sight out of mind. Thanks for all you do.
YES!!! I am so glad it was helpful! And you just keyed in on a great point... setting up our supplies like a store lets us 'shop' for our supplies and enjoy our projects more!
Please show us what you consider the fails and I'm sure you will get plenty of suggestions on how to do it best. Thank you always for all the things you do and show us how we can do them too. One last thing it is not a failure to try, only those who don't try fail.

Ooh, I’ve caught you early because I’m late going to bed today. Great ideas 😃. I’d love to see the shoe organisation. Being in a small cottage, I don’t have room for large storage items so something DIY would be great. Thank you for the ideas. Take care 🥰
I love all your videos. I am new to crafting and I would love to see you review tools you use to make these projects. Like what kind of box cutter you use to cut up cardboard or what type of glue to connect pieces. I am new to you too, so maybe you did this before and I have not seen it yet. Thank you for your positive energy. It is a joy to watch you😀
Thanks for the videos and great ideas! A video of your current storage unit attempt would be fun and maybe we can help come up with solutions to your issues!
I reuse Kleenex boxes (and other containers that other things come in) to make small tabletop bins for my papercrafting tools and finished cards. I just miter the top of the box from the opening, and use strong double sided tape to fold down to inside for reinforcing the top edges. It's much easier to carry my tools, paper, embellishments to wherever I want to work, and carry them back to my craft room table. Oh, and since the boxes are already decorated, I don't need to do anything else!
Yes, make that for us. I would like to see the video whether you win or fail. It would help us to see your problem solving and if you can't figure it out, I know you have incredible subscribers who probably will have great suggestions!

👏👏👏 Great ideas! ❤️😀
Love all these ideas I’m setting up a sewing room and I want to make shelves to organize my fabrics. I live with my son and grandchildren so diaper boxes are abundant here.❤️🇨🇦
Those make GREAT storage boxes!!!
An epic fail sounds like a perfect Halloween craft show. Go for it!
LOL Ok then! 🥰
Yes, most definitely!
Fails are great!
Yes, I would like to see the epic fail if it doesn’t go well.
Maybe we all could brainstorm with you to make it work.
Yay! Group project time! :D
Yes I'd like to see an epic project
Would love to see an epic fail video.....a good way to see what can go wrong and maybe get some help in figuring out how to get it right. Love all your videos!!!
Thank you!!!! I will post - we can either celebrate at the end, or figure it out together. :D
Seeing your fails would help me process how things work (or don’t!). My spatial/relational reasoning is terrible,so I can’t visualize how things go together. I think seeing the fails could be useful!
Then I will show what didn't work even if I DO figure it out! :D
I love your videos! Yes for the fails!
I'm loving how many are in for the fail! 🤣
Yes! Please share the "epic fail" video!!!!
Here you go!!!! th-cam.com/video/0XQVGjhpGGo/w-d-xo.html
