    Alan, your work is a beautiful gift. Silently and selflessly compiling Rupert's teachings and presenting them for all to hear.
    Infinite thanks. 🙏🙏🙏

    When I was 5 years old I used to wonder why I was looking out of these eyes.. and why other people didn’t question this... In first grade. I used to look around at the edges of my vision and marvel at how strange this was and question why I existed at this particular time as well. So I really cannot remember a time when I took the word “I” for granted. That’s definitely the exception and I knew this at the time and began to see that I needed to hide who I was in order to survive in school. I tried hiding my head in my desk and closing it on myself but that was a pretty limited solution. I missed a lot of school. Just being there was like bullying and making fun of who I really was... It didn’t need to be overt. I could not stand to experience how others viewed the world and treated each other. Seeing the normal patterns gave me ptsd. Not even kidding. Not even a little bit. People are so blind sometimes and so vicious. I still love them so much because I know where it comes from. From their fear and isolation. From their incorrect perception of lack of power.

      I relate so much. I ended up forgetting this tho, conforming to survive, but eventually the call to rediscover was heard loudly and painfully.

      Alex Montenegro. It's essential to understand and experience ourselves as naked awareness as a first step. Everything else are just ways of trying to describe appearances and their inseparability as awareness.

    Thank you Alan for putting these clips together and making them so accessible.
    What does Rupert mean by pure, empty, objectless I/awareness/knowing? Does he simply mean inseparable, indistinguishable awareness-experience? Or is he referring to a pure knowing void of objects/experience? Because I have never known the latter. I/awareness/experience is always here. The term "deep sleep" also confuses me for the same reason. Thank you 🙏

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Steve.
      If we 'go to' experience without labelling it, we find that we can't find a border between the knowing and known. If we take sound as an example, we can check if there is anything to sound other than hearing. We can then go further and ask "Is there anything to hearing other than the knowing of it"? We see that it is actually not the knowing of it, but is simply pure knowing, knowing only knowing.
      The formulation of knowingknown, in my opinion does not go far enough as in the above enquiry we find that the known is never found.

    • @stevenl.5490
      @stevenl.5490 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@alanneachell9092 OK, so in your example, there's no knowing OF the sound, there's just knowing knowing itself. So I am always present as empty knowing. Thank you :)

    If "I" could be found as an object, it wouldn't be 'I' would it? As there would be an awareness prior to it.

    I don't know how i missed this one alan. Just heard it today. Simply marvelous!! Alan how and from where do you get this beautiful stuff. Are you in direct contact with rupert??

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      rafia aziz. I subscribe to his talks. I go through them and usually know when I hear something profound. I clip them and put them together in themes. I spend around two hours daily. I'm retired so it's ok. I've only met Rupert once 🙂

    • @rafiaaziz592
      @rafiaaziz592 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alan Neachell well i had few questions i wish i could ask rupert. Your understanding is very deep and it seems you are established in the placeless place. I understand that the present perception is a modulation of awareness. And that past is not a place but doesn't past means a modulation of awareness that was say a min ago or say five mins ago. This is where i am stuck. What i mean is the concept of timelessness still doesn't seem to fit for me where am i wrong can you explain

    • @rafiaaziz592
      @rafiaaziz592 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also i don't get what rupert means when he says all the moments are happening now. Past future moments are happening parallel. Like a book. Does that means enlightened being can enter in any moment they like. Does that stage occurs when the so called personal identity dissolves? Just hoping to get the answers

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      rafia aziz. When you think of a moment in the past, when do you think about it? You think about it now.
      There is only now, and now is what you are. There is only here, and here is what you are. Awareness equals here and now. Find me on Facebook and we can talk on messenger if you wish 🙂

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      rafia aziz. Rupert does web meetings where you can ask questions. He speaks much clearer than I do.

    There is two awareness first you are pure infinite awarenss the second is awareness of awareness which is fake and the reflektion of the real awareness jast like two mirror paralell to each other which gives you infinite picture of fake awareness or infinte fake I,I!i........

      In my experience it is natural to recognize ourselves as presence.
      If we honour the reminder to be aware of being aware whenever it comes, those moments get longer until they are known to be continuous.
      I found that this does open us to more possibilities but they are all known to be impersonal and equal and not problematic.
