CN 8952 GTW Heritage Unit Leads M357! Railfanning the CN Neenah Sub 6/6/24

We decided to go out to the CN Neenah Sub as CN 8952 the GTW heritage unit was leading M357 as it was getting ready to depart shops in Fond Du Lac, WI. It had to side for a while as it had to wait for southbound traffic to clear up. So that gave us time to go to Oshkosh, WI and wait for it there. First we saw a southbound manifest with some BNSF power which was cool to see. Once this southbound passed M357 was cleared and we wanted to try something different today and that is catch it where the old CNW bridge used to be over the Fox River and this mad for a pretty cool shot. Once we saw it in Oshkosh we decided to chase it down to Dale, WI but this wasn't going to be easy. We did make it with only two minutes to spare and since Dale isn't a quiet zone we got to hear its horn which is an unusual K1L13A. Once we got it at Dale, WI it was time to head back to Neenah, WI which we did see EJ&E 667 a SD38AC which was in the yard and IC 3102 leading todays L533 and that pretty much finished our day on the CN Neenah Sub and I gotta say it was a fun one.

Yes 8952 is one of the sharpest and cleanest units no wonder why the GTW paint has lasted so long on many GP38-2s. Also it’s nice to see Ex IC Geeps! Thanks for watching!
