- Hi and welcome back to The Kneady Homesteader Channel! Today, I am sharing with you my favorite help aides that I used during my healing process from major oral surgery. I had 28 teeth removed, 3 impacted wisdom teeth, and had 7 implants drilled into my jaws....4 on my upper jaw and 3 on the lower jaw. I hope and pray that this video will help someone who is going through a similar procedure and these things can help you in your recovery.

No sucking with a straw. No bending over . Very soft foods. No rice or noodles. Get that stuck in a hole and you'll be in pain. Just be smart with it. I even ate baby food. Try and stay out of the heat and if you smoke don't you will take longer to heal. Take care everyone God bless🕊🐑

I'm going to have dental surgery in the fall from a dental disease! They going to remove the right side of my mouth and take out the bone and teeth and the left side will be done the same thing and after the surgery! Around January I'll have partials in my mouth!

I am so happy you are doing better! When I was healing from cancer and going through chemo, I had this verse taped to my bathroom mirror that I would read every time I went to that room. It gave me such peace: Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

Asking for prayers for my 16 yr old grandson who is about to go through the same dental procedure as you.
After years of his routine check-ups and just finishing 3 years in braces, he just found out ALL of his teeth need to come out!😢😢
They were always hounding him that he wasn’t brushing his teeth well enough, but he was, and his Mom would even watch him sometimes to make sure he was doing it properly!
She took him to an oral surgeon for a second opinion and after doing the X-rays, he said his teeth were decaying from the inside and he showed her the X-rays so she could see for herself!
He’s going to have them removed in stages, so he won’t be too overwhelmed and he will be having the implants also.
We are so heartbroken for him and so very angry at his (formerly, now) primary dentist for not catching all this sooner😡

When I've had oral surgery for my two implants, my Dr gave me something that looked like a very soft stretchable headband that goes under your chin to the top of your head. There were two slip pockets on the sides to hold a re-freezable ice pack. Each ice pack was only about 2" wide and about 4-5" tall. Dr gave me 3 pairs of the ice packs. They were awesome. This same oral surgeon pulled all 3 of my kid's wisdom teeth and gave them the same thing to keep ice on their cheeks.
I had to have all my teeth removed about 25 years ago. I wish I had a video like yours to watch before my surgery. Ice Pops were my best friend, so much so that I still love my ice pops even in my senior years. So glad you are rounding the corner and soon this will be behind you! Your beauty is not in your mouth full of teeth it goes much deeper than that! Hugs!

I really want to get the laws changed.....here in Michigan. You got to prison longer for stealing thank you do taking a life and critically injuring 3 others. its shameful. I also believe they should have to pay child support to the surviving children when a parent of minors is killed. I know a few states have done that. I don't know where to begin?

Wow, Heather, i know several people with dentures and i must say you speak really well without teeth and with inflammation still! Praise the Lord!❤ For those of you who aren't embarking on a dental journey, be sure to still watch from around the 28 and a half minute mark for some very moving testimony that just may change your life and help you on your own journey. How did I miss the fact that you have fibromyalgia too ?! You are so right ,dealing with Fibromyalgia pain and injuries from being in 2 head on car accidents, neither my fault, raises your pain tolerance. Which is good and bad. 4 years ago I went to dental services down in Grove, OK and had impressions made of my existing teeth. Then had all of my teeth taken out and implants placed. While I was going through that, they were busy making my new dentures. I woke up with my new teeth, without the implants connected. Went 2 weeks sleeping setting up and doing some of the same things as you to heal. 2 months later they connected the implants and snapped those babies in ! Best decision I made was getting the implants. I too was so relieved to get my painful teeth out that the healing seemed much easier. I'm so proud of you dear Heather. You and your family have gone through so much, but God !! He is surely using your many "tests" to reveal a beautiful testimony of our Lord's mercy, grace, steadfast love, healing in your life. Because i totally thought, as ive watched you, you are so funny and cute and have great content no matter what you talk to us about, even without teeth 😁!!!!. “It’s ok to let people into your healing.” I have been on a healing journey from abuse and have hidden away from people. One of the results of the abuse was extreme weight gain. I haven’t wanted to be seen and certainly not let anyone in. God is good and bringing me along but these words hit home. Keep doing what you’re doing and I will work on laying aside my vanity so that I can be an instrument as well. God bless sister!

How I get through my tough times is remembering God only gives me as much as I can handle. Sometimes, I feel I am not as strong as God knows I am.

Yes I believe that especially today. As if the day couldn’t get worse my very needed tooth broke.
I've been kind of on the outs with God after 12 years with 3 major heartbreaks and emotional turmoil. But for some reason I've been sticking around and feeling comforted by your words and your prayers. What you said at the end about being worthy made me tear up. 😢 My self esteem is majorly damaged from my almost 10 year marriage (a year into divorce proceedings now) so hearing that I'm worthy really hit a nerve in a good way. Thank you for being yourself and continuing to speak your truth and speak about God. I know you've lost subscribers but you've affected me and have brought such a light into my life every time i watch your videos. ❤

You are so doggone adorable with or without teeth. 3 minutes into this video, the life in your eyes and your beauty of soul just is so beautiful, that's all I could see. You were always so practical and filled to the brim with love and still are. You are someone I fully expect to see in heaven... But of course, you will be so busy making bread and loving on your husband, we'll just have to say "hi" in passing. You are the inspiration of our Lord personified. We all just love you and keep you in our prayers!

Good grief! Oh my gosh, I never knew how horrific your injuries were. You are so strong for you kids and the loss of your husband and the injuries you have suffered. God does work through you. You are amazing! Also, you are gorgeous with and without teeth. You are a super star for Christ too!

It's amazing how much warm saltwater rinses help with pain and healing.. I have a million dollar mouth from periodontal surgery.
it probably actually cost that much too! sadly! hahaha YES.....the warm salt water was like a heating bad to sore muscles. I did soooo many rinses just because it felt so soothing!
Heather, I struggle with having bad teeth and have lost several. Partials are no joke, but implants are just too expensive for me. I came on here to tell you that with teeth or not, you are looking so healthy and beautiful. God put you on this journey for a reason and it sounds like you are almost nearing the end of this chapter. Be safe and God speed.

Its me! Its me here that you were speaking to! I am 46 yrs old and have a gum disease that has made my teeth start falling out. It has taken me months and months to build the courage to go to a dentist and address the issue of needing dentures. I was too ashamed...still am but I have made the initial steps and am in the process of being fitted with implants. I work in healthcare in a Long Term Care home, and could hide behind having to wear a mask at work for a long time but those days are over and honestly I am so glad it has pushed me in the right direction of getting my movie star smile back :)

Hi beautiful Heather I had 28 teeth removed in the dentists chair with only freezing and after just minimal pain medication. I had my dentures inserted at that time. In a week, I was pain-free. I had bruising only along the jaw line. I'm glad you are feeling better.

I'm Ketovore and most of my TH-cam watching has been keto/carnivore related. God works in good ways always. You put out that video about losing your husband and it popped up on my feed. Had nothing to do with keto stuff but here you were. I clicked on it and have been with you ever since. With everything you've been through you always have a positive attitude. Oh my goodness….yes to the sensitive nose. I had to have one front tooth extracted and an implant put in. It was the result of an injury I sustained in my early 30s but came back to haunt me in my 50s. The pain in my nose and just under my nose was really difficult to deal with. I’m 2 years out from the surgery and I’m doing great. Yours was much more extensive….I’m so glad you’re doing well. Have been following you for a long time….I’m so impressed with your strength and courage. Lots of love for you and your family! ❤❤❤

I've been watching you since your accident. Praying for you and your healing journey. I've gotten 4 different opinions and seeing an oral surgeon on Aug 15th to see what my options are. Every day I'm living in pain from my teeth. I'm ready to start this journey and to get my smile back. You are a strong woman and I admire how strong your faith in god is. :)

Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I'm at the end of my whole mouth implant surgery. I had only 10 teeth left to be removed. The pain can be excruciating at times. September 6th, I'm supposed to get my studs put in. I, too, had a fear of talking to anyone without any teeth, but my close friends and family assured me they wouldn't judge me or make fun of me. They just wanted me to get comfortable. It's hard to eat around others, but by the grace of God, I'm getting through. I know it wasn't easy to speak on camera, but thank you for letting me and others know that we are not alone. God bless you. Your sister in Christ.

I just saw your hardest video ever, and then this video. I subscribed. When you spoke of Helen Roseveare I almost cried! I saw her at a women’s conference, and she helped me heal from an abusive husband and a rape. She had been through a horrible hostage situation that I related to. She survived and gave testimony of how the LORD helped her through this. I was a very new Christian, and she changed my perspective on life that day! God knew I needed to hear her. I am forever grateful for that day!! God Bless you and your family! I’m sorry for your loss, and your family’s pain and grief. It’s clear to see how He was with you.
But God! Look at the Holy Spirit working and connecting us through Helen, who must have been one of His most faithful servants. I am in awe that you got a chance to see her in person. Heather you are such a blessing. After all you have been thru, you explain how and why you go forward. I have always been a person that is scared of everything, and I mean everything. I put off having a colonoscopy.. when I finally did it was nothing. Now I need to make an appt. for an EGD.. for reflex, hiatle Hernia.. and I am putting it off. I can actually make myself sick of worrying. Then I realize what you have been thru and I know I need to trust the Lord and just do it... and I will... Just a little bit about me.....

Helen's testimony changed my life as well! She also said that God asked her to loan him her body. This changed my whole mindset of suffering.

My face was reconstructed in march of nineteen ninety two I lost all external feeling in the lower part of my face except for a tiny little bit in one spot near the right corner of my mouth. Ice packs hurt all the stainless steel pieces they put in my face. I have a new septum, my third one. My sinuses were rebuilt. I've so much that isn't me anymore I hate mirrors because it's not my face anymore. A huge part of the healing is mental and being able to accept what's going on and what's happening. I don't wish it on anybody. But I wish you all the best in your healing inside and out.
This sounds very silly, but when you started to talk about healing, I knew I needed to hear this. Again, my trauma is 3 years of physical, emotional and financial persecution with my husband and daughter.
A friend gave me a massage certificate and almost toward the end, I heard a loud GUSH. I’m not sure if it was adrenals or what, but 3 years of pent up anxiety can cause so much damage on the body. I felt sick, had the trots and was so sore afterwards. She wasn’t being too rough. She was getting spots my body just felt so tight.
I have neuropathy in my feet and in 2017 fractured both feet while hurting the tendons near the ankles. Haven’t been able to run or bike well let alone walk. I like your idea of cryotherapy. I may suck it up and try it.

its ok....dental work is rough! its ok to feel sorry for yourself! hahaha I just got my new surgery date this morning, for reconstruction of my jaw. shaving down and removing bone in order for my implants to seat right. So, I am feeling sorry for myself right now too. hahahahahaha I don't want to do this anymore but.....I am too far in it now! No way out but through! hahahaha
