Mate the project with Ten Hag is dead. It wasn't all his fault, but it's dead. The only thing he's proven in 2 years is he can't do what he was brought in to do. 50% of his signings need to be sold, he's uninspiring to players & fans, and now he's fighting with the media. It's just getting old.

@@johnfulco8313 do you not think it makes sense to give him one more year? For two reasons. First I think he earned it last season, no one achieved what he did last season, since Sir Alex and the injuries have been horrendous (I admit he's made mistakes). The second is, all he wants is strong, quick, technical players, that will fit a defined style of play by the club. Give him his last year, if it goes well, brilliant, if not he goes for free and then the next person comes in a year better off in this project. There's no valid candidate to take over in the summer anyway, one more year makes complete sense

The other reason to give him another year is let the club structure stuff all happen now, everyone in post, selling the deadwood, new transfer policy etc. Then when that's sorted the club can do a proper review and see if credible manager targets become available not a Southgate or Potter that will cost £10m to sack Ten Hag (that the club can't afford anyway) then another load to sack the interim guy. Ten Hag has been good with youth players, let him develop them whilst the other stuff is done and maybe next summer we get Don Carlo for a bit after Alonso heads off to Madrid 😂
I'd be interested to see without the injury crisis and all the Martial types gone from the dressing room whether we can get any better.

Remember when our club used to demand winning trophies... we're "he's made it two cup finals" FC. Everyone forgot he got utterly embarrassed by pep last may in that final? And it'll happen again next month. The football is dreadful, ETH's attitude / pressers are uninspiring, half his transfers need to be sold and he can't figure out how to use the rest, and he has the worst man management of any manager in our history. The project is DEAD. Yes the squad needs purging, but so does this manager.
INEOS has to prove they'll purge this squad, but Ten Hag has been on trial since january and it's probably been the most pathetic attempt to save a managerial job i can ever remember. You forgot we're out of the CL due to him? We pathetically "defended" our carabao cup final by getting destroyed by newcastle. Enough with backing this man.

"Give him time"..... the man has been on trial for an entire season. He is the reason we finished last in the CL as he didn't have the balls to drop Onana, he's fallen out with more players than anyone in our history, the football is HORRIFIC, 50% of his signings need to be sold, his pressers are uninspiring and resorting to fighting the media when you play the worst football in the league is pathetic.
Genuinely the only thing he's proven is he can't perform to the standards he is paid to and brought in to do. He has an excuse for everything. He does't have the players to play like he did at ajax, injuries, too many games, too many games too quickly..... the project is DEAD.
Did i forget that his managerial past is equal to Pep? Klopp? Conte?... the man has achieved next to nothing in the football landscape. He's never made a CL final, he's never won a big 5 league. 25 managers in the world have his CV

But that's the point the caller was making. No manager has been successful at united because of the bad culture and atleast now the changes are being made. But if sack ETH dont expect the next manager to challenge the league in 2 years even not in 3 because he will need atleast 3 tranfers to change tha squad and remember half of that squad are not ETH sinings But if you keep ETH there is a continuity he knows what works and what doesn't. No manager out there guarantees success. Its not like sacking LVG for Morinho. You guys keep mentioning of his signings as if in history of football its the first time for a manager to do that. Krop at Liverpool there is good number of his sinings that never worked. The likes Bentake. So does Pep with the likes of Bravo. So did many of Sir Alex sinings but that's the beauty of continuity the manager gains experience and change. If you keep killing a project every 3 years we take another 20 years just moving in circles. But also only antony is a signing that has worked. Casa was very important last season for us. Mount has been injured, maltia injured, martinez has been our best defender this season he has been injured. Onana is now improving. Then which many sings are you saying they haven't worked?

I am not a Man Utd fan and over the past 2 seasons I find very little to like about ETH from his media briefings to his handling of Sancho/Ronaldo. I am personally sick of hearing his after match rubbish he spouts out. The players are most certainly the problem, a lot of them have seen off multiple managers and I believe they'll see him off as well. He seems incapable of galvanising a squad when things aren't going well which you can see from the lacklustre efforts from some of the players, game after game they have been surviving on moments of brilliance. As for the same grace as Eddie Howe, I can understand where this comes from as both teams have had a very similar season in terms of games, league position and CL football, but you cannot compare the two scenarios, NUFC hugely overperformed from where they were the seasons previously, but Man Utd weren't in the same place or ever have been so the expectation is much higher especially after the money spent on top of an already half decent squad. However, I have started to come round to the fact that it might be in the clubs best interest to stick with ETH, there aren't many top managers available right now and is Man Utd that big of a draw anymore? Plus, he is able to grind out the results, the fans just have to accept that you're not a top four side anymore. With a few sales and some better recruitment they may be back up there in a few years. Liverpool will no doubt take a dip in form next season, Chelsea are out of the running for years, Tottenham are unpredictable and doubtful, Villa will be in the same position as NUFC are this season (lack of squad depth). If Man Utd and NUFC have a good transfer window, next season should be very entertaining.

I love Mourinho just as much as Simon does but the reality is, he didn’t really achieve anything at Man U. Closest he got to the PL title was second, achieved also under Ole who was deemed inept by Simon to put it politely. In the main, the team fielded for the most part of this season consists of players that have, for the last 5 seasons been constantly portrayed by the media as not good enough to play for MU, the same players that the previous 3 managers to ETH couldn’t get a tune out of; remembering that one of those previous managers is seen as one the best to ever be involved at a professional level, yet ETH is facing a barrage of negative press for also not being able to get a tune out of the very same players he’d probably prefer not to play.
The most amazing thing that baffles me though, is the fact that Simon Jordan excels at letting us know how good he is as a business man but fails to see how direction and leadership starts from the very top. Chelsea were successful under Abramovich as he had a clear direction and ruthless agenda to achieve it, Todd Boey, well let’s say no more on what he’s done but clearly the direction from him is wishy washy at best and that has filtered down to the first team and Chelsea are a mess. Same can be said for Newcastle, it’s not totally the Howe affect that has turned that club around, it’s the buying out of Mike Ashley and new owners with a clear direction for the club, from the top of the clubs pyramid. Something Manchester United have lacked for over a decade.
    >Get the structure right from the top.
    >Set a clear direction.
And things can quite quickly fall into place, then it’s a sensible approach to transfers and with a bit of luck and a fair wind, success may come. But most of all, they’ll be harmony and direction, which everyone can get behind to achieve the goals required.
