why do the media paint a picture that City were poor, that's why they lost. They were poor because United forced them to be. Please give United the credit they deserve. A team's performance is partly due to the level of resistance the opponent offers.
They wont say that, as it will paint a bad reflection to their own opinion and predictions prior to the match, which easily shows most of them are clueless !
not really tbh, United deserved to win the game but City we were off it, tactically as the manager admitted it was his fault for the setup. and in a one off game, our star players were nullified, or you can say they ghosted. Doku changed the game when he came on and we actually gifted United the goals, clearly. but it is what it is. congrats to MANUTD.

Very refreshing listening to Jurgen Klinsman, the others haven’t got a clue. Been serious issues with Man Utd squad for years, simply not good enough, mentally and physically and with a ridiculous amount of injuries on top of that, Ten Hag has done fairly well. No point paying him off and bringing someone else in unless it’s an upgrade and I cannot see any of them available at the moment!
I think 1 more year for ten hag, the club needs stability..let him have a fully fit n available squad & then see how it goes. But if performances n results dont improve after that then they can look at alternatives. Agreed its been an awful season, but let him continue for now, specially when the squad isn't fully fit n available.

Really poor analysis of the game. City weren’t poor, United just understood how to beat them. Every United player was told to mark a certain player, keep possession when you get the ball and pass quickly, and play the ball over City’s backline. Ten Hag understood their weakness, and when City has large amounts of possession, they knew they had to fight to get the result.

United completely outplayed Man City, both on the eye test and statistically. Credit to city for adapting their gameplay in the second half, but it was too late to make up a 2 goal deficit by then. Its quite simple... with Lucho and Varane fit, we had/have a solid base to build from and we're actually a top team with that base (even better with Shaw there too)... When Lucho and Varane are missing, and then the people there to replace them are missing, then you have to put midfielders at the back to cover those replacements for the defensive cover which weakens the midfield too, the standard of the team diminishes. Its not rocket science. 15 different defensive combinations this season, 8 different CBs, in front of a new GK too... No other manager would have done any better under these circumstances. EtH HAS to stay. Anyone who says otherwise just doesnt know what theyre talking about. Simple. The media should be ashamed of the way theyve treated EtH. Shameful.

Yesterday, there were reports about Erik ten Hag’s future and it was leaked that Manchester United will sack him at the end of the season regardless of their result in the FA Cup final today. If this is potentially his last ever game as a manager at Manchester United what a way to bow out. Given all the issues they’ve had all season, at the end of the day they won a trophy which was the FA Cup final and they did it against Manchester City. Many of us wrote them off due to their form and obviously City are a much better team than them, but United played much better than them and after taking a 2 goal lead, they defended very well and put in a very professional performance. They didn’t put a foot wrong and after City scored, they couldn’t get back in the game. This is a display that many people should be proud of even though they went up against a team who wasn’t in the best mental state since they won the league and weren’t really thinking much about the game. 2 cup final wins in 2 years, unfortunately that isn’t enough for ten Hag to keep his job, but what do you guys think are Manchester United making the right decision in sacking him.

They had a plan for the specific match. They executed it perfectly. Each match is different. The criticism lies in the effort the players give in each match. The effort to execute the plan that the manager and the coaching staff has planned. The effort NEEDS TO BE CONSISTENT.

They should listen more to Jürgen Klinsmann and learn from him. There's more to being a coach/manager than what they see on the pitch.
Utd had lots of issues this season, I'm not making an excuse for the coach, but the players also contributed to the background issues.

Some times the better team is unable to have a good performance not because they were off but because the other team makes it impossible for them to. That's what happened here, City couldn't get it going because United made it impossible for them to.
