I remember the early days quite well. I remember when they were showing college kids in the streets "here, here's how to make basic IEDs". I remember the gridlock on the highways for miles as ukrainians were fleeing anticipating a DRAFT, which did come. I remember the infamous Ghost of Kiev who kept the Russians grounded, that really turned out to be a HOAX -- there was no pilot.
I'm sure you probably heard about how UA had received $$$ to build intricate well defended bunkers to hold back the Russian lines. The footage they showed was mock-up; the defenses never made it past trenches which is how the Russians seemed to move so quickly with such little resistance
