Thank you for making a video! It was helpful for me as my Roomba app doesn’t show the instructions as someone else stated. Maybe it depends on whether you use it with a smarthome app or an official Roomba app. I also appreciate your honesty in stating your mistakes and things you figured out along the way. I always appreciate real people making videos that I can relate to. For those who only want to criticize with nothing useful to add: Be kind. It takes work to do this and there are nice ways to add your experience without bringing someone’s efforts down.
From the IRobot app: Roomba filters are not designed to be washed or come in contact with liquid. Any contact with liquid will ruin the filter and could cause damage to the robot. To clean the filter, simply shake of debris by tapping the filter against your trash to container. Please visit the iRobot Store - Parts and Accessories to purchase replacement filters.
This Roomba is recommended I love it sooo much I cleaned my room and it needed like 5 runs and each run had a full dust bin. I vacuum it with our new Dyson cenetic ball as well it is the best model ever!
Thank you! This video helped sell me on this VERY useful addition to our family this Jan 2019. I had back surgery this year and taking care of the floor with regular brooms, mops and vacuums KILLS my back and I would be in recovery for 2 months without being able to bend at all. I have two very fuzzy cats that constantly make my wood floors dusty and furry. I run this about every 2 days (I would run it every day except you DO HAVE TO CLEAN OUT the dust bin of the Roomba every time you use it). That is the only drawback so far. The maintenance is pretty easy. I actually keep a hand vac right by the roomba and use it to suck out the dust from the roomba bin. It's also a quick clean up of litter and cat food so they are the perfect combination. I only pull out the big vacuum once a month or so now to get into the corners of where Roomba can't reach because I have too much crap on the floor. I use the towers to guide him but I also find using my feet to let him bump into me to go the right way works fine too. It's kind of fun! I love my little helper! The floors have NEVER been so clean even when I was able to vacuum regularly. It now saves the strain on my back considerably forever more! Yay! Technology actually doing some GOOD. :)
Thanks. Its always nice to have a visual. I find the best way to clean and extend the life of my heap filter is to use either the hand vacuum or my shop vacuum.
This Roomba is very good the reason why it says it is full is because there is a sensor on the outside and when dirt sits there for like 5 seconds it says it's full. I really like this vacuum and it is very quiet
I'm trying to decide if it's time to upgrade from my five year old roomba 650, in hopes of easier hair removal, and you seem to have made a video showing a resounding yes, which I really appreciate. But I can't believe you made a video about how to clean a roomba without reading the directions, and ended up surprised by what you could remove.
Love this awesome instructional video and thank you FamLee! I also noticed that in the background, you have these colorful wall hanging pockets with words on them. Are they your organizational tools? If so, do you mind sharing them? Thanks again!
Great video! You have a cute little helper😊 As always, your videos are the best! You're so helpful and great review. Thanks for sharing. Have a fabulous day!💚🌷
Oh my! I usually take regular vacuum out about once a month and just kinda suck off the ends of the brushes to get all the hair off. Then use the regular vacuum to clean the filter. I think I replace maybe twice a year. And I order the knock offs on amazon. Then just use a paper towel and some cleaner to clean all the bin parts. Also google “cleaning roomba front caster wheel”. That whole wheel pops out. Around that circle will be soo much hair. Also! If y’all have like an air compressor, or even a can of air, take the whole thing outside and blow out all the little cracks and crevices.
In the time you spent cleaning your robot well, you could have done a great job cleaning your floors and had time left over. Instead your floors are cleaned poorly by the bot, like they were cleaned by a drunk on the his last day before retirement and you STILL have to clean them again if you have people coming over AND you have to clean your bot. Biggest scam ever: Roomba Oh yeah, and they are Noisy. You either have to leave the house or wear ear plugs + earphones if you want to be able to concentrate in the 90+ minutes those things crawl around the house at a snails pace.
I don’t understand what is the purpose of your comment. A Roomba is helpful for a lot of people for a lot of different situations, you don’t have to use one or watch a video on how to clean one of you don’t want to
Roomba doesn't clean my house as it supposed to be, going to same spots over and over for 10 times and ignoring where also must be cleaning done. I will clean my Roomba and take it back to Costco to return it. Enough!

Love this! I’m so happy it has been so helpful for you. I don’t ever want to live without mine. Haha!

I just got my Rumba and I love it! Thanks so much, for the thorough tutorial.
Thanks for helping me decide on whether to buy this cleaner or not.
I got Ann E6 Roomba for Christmas. You filled in gaps in the manuals.

Also the roomba app you install on your phone lets you know it needs this cleaning and shows instructions how. :)
i guess it is pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good place to watch new series online?
@Boone Sergio i would suggest FlixZone. Just google for it :)

Nice video, nice Roomba. I love mine, also getting those paint chips off the side can be annoying sometimes

@@WendiLee Yeah I've had the error 2 with the extractor
@@WendiLee Hey! From yesterday. Do you have the error 2 on your roomba extractor?
I took mine apart to clean and the rubber pieces popped out easily. But now they don’t pop back in. What’s the trick?!
It’s not as loud as it seems in the video. I can barely hear it with a door closed
Thank you Maureen Ponderosa!
When you wash filter, that filter is not working anymore. I do pressure air and vacuuming filter.
I love my Dyson but the Roomba would be awesome too!
It's pretty much a game changer..haha! I love it!
The Roomba e6 would be awesome if I had it
Thank you!!
Your not supposed to put water on the filter
I really want that irobot
Definitely worth the investment :)
Very helpful! Thank you so much.
you can vacuum the filter but no washing
Yeah I learned that the hard way! I will be vacuuming it from now on :)
I think I will be using that today but I bought that from at the freaking Walmart🤪
yep!
Good to know! I want to get one soon!
You won't regret it! It has made my life so much easier..haha!
@@WendiLee You can't wash the filter when it's dusty
You just gotta dump the dust from the filter in the trash can
Great video! You have a cute little helper😊 As always, your videos are the best! You're so helpful and great review. Thanks for sharing. Have a fabulous day!💚🌷
i have only had this model for 2 dAYS
I cleaned my iRobot and now it doesn’t work like it used to :(
Short and to the point. And why not clean the filter and save a few bucks!
i love my E6. i wouldnt care if it screamed the whole time it is working
Seriously! I love mine too!
@@WendiLee Seriously. that's great

Unfortunately I couldn't find my filters on Amazon! I was so bummed.... And I think I took off that front wheel..there was sooo much dog hair!
