Better understanding the sway mechanic has been so helpful! Thank you for this. Not that I'm anyone that matters, but i can confirm that you can get 5 interests because of sway. It's been incredibly helpful with recruiting guys that may have been out of my reach. Overall, dynasty and recruiting has been amazing. One thing that's been annoying though is the sudden change in my grade with a prospect's interests, mostly with playing style. There's been a lot of times where i have an A grade on playing style, and he has a deal breaker with playing style of a B, and I'll invest heavily early to quickly get him to commit to my school. But then all of a sudden, when he's a week away from committing to me, my playing style grade changes to below his deal breaker and I'm locked out and i end up losing the recruit and all that time and resource was wasted...usually 5-6 weeks, when i was about to win. It happens repeatedly to the point where now i don't recruit players with a deal breaker of playing style because i can't trust that it's going to stay, even though I'm not changing anything. I understand the sudden change in my grade to things like championship contender and playing time, and i have no issues with those. But the playing style is a weird one for me because i didn't change my play style, and it drops so suddenly and drastically.
If you have a prospect with a dealbreaker that develops on your school, you can keep him on your board in case your grade improves in that category. As long as your school is still in the running and he hasn't committed to anyone, you still have a chance at him when you meet the requirements of his dealbreaker again.
Esp since playing feels like you’re playing against the 85 bears and the 2000 ravens all at once yeah I find myself sometimes using a 2-3 star team to see how well I can recruit

Just watched all three videos in a row. Def going to implement these tips in my online dynasty with my friends. One small thing Ive noticed that I haven't seen mentioned when scrolling the comments is another process of elimination tactic. Were doing a MAC rebuild dynasty so I don't have hours to scout everyone. My strat is go after 4 stars regardless of whatever their gem/bust will be. The example is I have 4 4 star WR on my board. None are scouted. (sorted by national rank) The two best ranked ones have the playing time dealbreaker and lock me out on the board. So this means one of the WR below them on my board must be a gem and you can remove him from the board and they open back up to me. So without scouting you can sometimes tell who will be a gem by sorting by national rank and players above them with playing time dealbreaker locking you out until you remove the gem from your list. This was probably very confusing but wanted to get it out there. Im sure someone can clean this up for me.

Any ideas on that?
Also had success just using 2 interest soft sell with a perfect hard sell, no sway required. Got #1 class with 5, 5 stars and 26 4s at UK first year OC.

Seems like if you’re decently ahead just go for the hard sell on 2 but if you’re behind for a big target then going for the double sell might be the Hail Mary that could get you into first
Ahhhhhh very important note! While your second sway was successful in adding the green checkmark for Conference Prestige… your grade for Playing Style went DOWN from a B+ to a C+ ! Did your team lose that week? And is that the reason Playing Style went down? Or was it because you swayed a different category? I don’t know, but I think it’s worth pointing out that swaying MIGHT potentially have a negative effect on other categories? I’m curious to hear other people’s thoughts. This happened at 8:04
Sway works best when you have 2 Checkmarks. If you have a prospect like you did Worthy with 2 A+ checkmarks already, try a sway with another highly rated check mark. I feel this works better than trying to grind the 1 checkmark imo. The quicker you get to the hard sell + soft sell + rest of your points is more valuable than going to maximize the grades on the hard sell/soft sell
@ that is the lowest possibility to flip them. You are taking 3 pitches and focusing equally time to try and flip all 3. It is the lowest possibility chance of flipping 1 or more and is a waste of points. In theory, you are correct. But with the way the game is coded, you are very wrong
I think the higher chance of success is if you are swaying on something that is unknown with the 1 known. Taking a Green check and pairing it with 2 gray ? might give you more a chance to sway them on those because they havent had their mind made up yet on those interest.
I wonder if trying to sway to a "strategy" with B+ and C+ makes it more difficult. Hence the two weeks to convince. It would have been interesting if you had swayed with "Sunday Bound," where your school has all A+ motivations even though only one is a current match. The theory being that it could be easier to sway a recruit to value something about your school (and only your school) if it is something your school is particularly good at.
Yea. Use them at the same time. Use the hard pitch on the best choice (the option with 3 ✅ ) and the soft pitch on a pitch that has at least one of the interest and high grades for things the player is not interested in.
I’m so late but if I’m trailing a team and it’s week 2 is it worth swaying when I only know 2 checks but it’s a five star and if I just send the house and hard sell when I finally get all 3 checks I feel like I will for sure lose the player
Bro, I think you explain all of this best! I will only come here for education on this game to get better. That said - can you do a video on how to get better on defense. Best place to start, meaning playbook, def formation, ect? Thanks bro!
I’ve already been combining the hard and soft sell, but using the sway to add an interest will take my recruiting to another level. I wonder if you could even go ahead and soft sell or hard sell (if you already know 3 interests) while you sway to get some of that influence a week or two earlier. That could possibly offset the risk of an unsuccessful sway.
Huge Texas fan here. Question how do I get more recruiting hours I’ve been playing Texas from the beginning and didn’t even know OHIO gets over a thousand?
Recruiting and tactician in my experience. It doesn’t appear that the bonus off-season xp in motivator is meaningful compared to the guaranteed +2s and big in game boosts in tactician.
I’ve had much better sway rates with one check, but at least one ? box. I think if the category is a ? It has a way higher chance to sway compared to a X category.
The visit glitch is killing me!. I had about lead of double or more than the only other school pursuing my prospect. We got to 5 teams and he was able to visit and I wasn't. He jumped ahead of me . I lost a 101 speed 4 star gem wr. Oh and I had 4 interest all As and stacked hard and soft sell.
Playing as Bowling Green St. for 2 seasons... big success in season 2 with 4 Stars (top 15 national recruiting class) by simply targeting and eating up the "no offer" 4 stars after a few weeks in i.e. THE FORGOTTEN RECRUITS . Much easier to win the 4 star recruit as small school with bad motivation grades when you are not competing vs big schools. That is until the Big Schools wake up on prospect super late in season but your head start on Influence is enough to hold them off and win recruit. Maybe I missed this - but watched all 3 vids and didn't see as much of this as I thought for the success I have seen using it.
Only tip i think youre missing is prioritize contested recruits if you can win. Comtested recruits go to top 5 way faster so you can schedule a few compounding visits by week 4-5 and walk away with players you wouldve never gotten otherwise and so much faster. Obviously this is risky if you make a bad call but when you learn it, you can snowball into a truly amazing draft. Freeing up hours by locking down recruits quickly and using other teams hours to accelerate them is definitely how you min max the recruiting system
Has anyone experimented with using multiple Soft Sells on a player. Assuming you have all of their interests uncovered and have 60 hours available. You can soft sell three times on them (one perfect pitch, and two with 2 checks and 1 x). I’ve noticed the influence gained arrows for using 3 soft sells looks huge, but not sure how impactful using 2 non-perfect pitches is.
@@poohboy3824 when I get my first round of commits, and there's no available 5 stars I almost always scout available and undervalued 4 stars to get the 4 star gems which are arguable best value players
Love the videos, but there's one subtle yet huge bug in the game with recruiting that I'm seeing no one mention or even notice. Your create a coach's pipeline doesnt have any effect on your recruiting pipeline in game. No matter what you choose it doesnt add that pipeline to your recruiting board. I wish guys would start mentioning it as a problem so ea becomes aware of it or it'll never get fixed
Wouldn’t it be best to use your hard sell with the newly unlocked motivation with it being the recruits new “ideal” motivation for the school? Probably makes little difference, just a thought! Makes sense how I lost out on a RB recruit I had as a 4th tier pipeline recruit and ND somehow got his ass at 2nd tier. Thanks!
So if you have all 3 interests for a player but they are not yet in the top 5 stage, should you continue sending the house or contacting friends and family? I was in first place for someone who was super close to his top 5, and 3 weeks later he reaches top 5 and I’m in 3rd place. Is it because I didn’t allocate any points to him? I assumed that I would still gain influence for the prospect even when not giving points, as I already knew his 3 interests and was waiting on him.
You have to keep putting points towards him to stay in first place. If you were in first place to begin with it’ll be easier to stay in first place with some points on him, but if another school is pursuing him you will lose him. If it’s a player you really want, I’d send the house until you can hard sell and then go do that. If another school is in a tight battle with you, I’d soft sell something with 2 green checks if you can send 65 hours at the player, as that almost guarantees the commit
6:50 you're still not doing it quiet right. You should pick something like sunday bound. As he already likes pro potential at A+. Then you are swaying for conference prestige and championship contender. Both of which are A+ for you. So you are changing your hard sell from a A+,B+,C+ into A+ all around.
I did this exact same thing with sway after watching this and lost the guy instead of locking him in, I got locked out and chosen over the other school who i was ahead of.
This was incredibly helpful information. I messed around with it for a bit and found that using two sway pitches at the same time significantly increases your chances of adding at least 1 interest on the first try. Every once in a blue moon both pitches land and your prospect ends up with like 6 interests and 4 hard/soft sell options. I also noticed that you gain little to no influence from an unsuccessful sway, so stacking them is a decent way to hedge your bets overall if you have the hours to spare. On the other hand, failing both pitches is a total waste of a recruiting week and can screw you over big time if you're in a tight race with other schools. It doesn't happen too often as long as at least one of the chosen pitches shares 2 interests with the ideal pitch. I think a solid middle ground is to always add a few extra recruiting hours when using sway.
One question I’ve been trying to figure out is do you keep the hard sell on each week or do you take it off afterwards and go back to sending the house?
Not seeing people mention bye week recruiting. Using the bye week to add complementary recruits helps also if you’re in a pinch and don’t have a game available. i.e QB,RB,WR
@@FendlerYT Completely agree but if locked in a battle and no game available for the visit. Stacking the recruits on a bye that complement each other works can get 2 influence for that visit especially if you apply the sway, pitch method. Great video though.
How can you increase a prospects interest in your school outside of our the hard/soft skills and visits? If you send the house to a prospect, and all their interests are already revealed, does keeping send the house help keep you in their top schools? Everyone says "make sure to get into prospects top 5 so you can sell/schedule visits", but what can you do to improve your chances of making their top 5
Howdy, great videos…glad i cane across your page. In another video you mentioned a tip about adding prospects and advancing a week to gain two interests becoming visible? Does that mean the flow is: wk1-add prospect and do nothing, add nothing, no scholarships or scout… just backout and adv to week 2, in order for two interests to materialize?
I have to confirm whether they had scholarships on them before the advance to precipitate the 2 interests. Been getting more feedback of folks holding offers until later
I just unlocked it in year 4 as a new head coach at app state and I’m excited to see how much it helps! Also, south Florida might be the best pipeline and iv found it best to get about 15 guys in the board and fully scout them based off needs and pick out the gems. And slowly build that up to about 25 throughout the season. Leave 10 spots open to focus on transfers. I was able to sign a number 10 class my last season in year 3 with app state.
Can someone let me know if I’m the only one that experienced this. I tried sway with 3 5 star recruits. A QB where I was #1 on their choices. A WR where I was also #1 and a DT where I was #2. In all cases I was trying to compensate for the fact that the players were outside of my pipeline. The sway option never worked for me. I did it for 2 weeks and then tried a different option another week and never unlocked another check mark. I ended up losing all 3 prospects. Is that common or did I do something wrong?
Does anyone know of any methods to get players to get through their "narrowing down" process any faster? Or is it random? Ive got a guy that i am very much in the lead in his interests, and he hasnt even narrowed it down to the top 8 by week 9. Any ways to get players to commit more quickly?
So I guess my questions is… can’t you just hard and soft sell on the same pitch? I have yet to play a coach that can spend more than 50 points per player lol
I'm bout to treat homie like a dj with the requests 😂😂 Could you try experimenting on how influential the recruiting pipeline is? If you controlled the hours on the recruits, the timing of scholarships/visits/recruiting hours, and compared how two recruits with same interest levels in your school gain influence, and how the pipeline interacts with that I realize this is probably super in depth, and I would try it myself but I get limited play time as a Dad. Hope you find time to test this, would be a massive piece of knowledge for someone playing as Kent State. Limiting my recruiting to just pipeline recruits severly limits how good your class can be, but idk if its worth pouring hours into a recruit from Georgia whos gonna just sign with the Bulldogs anyway 😂
Something i have been wondering - if you have 60 hrs for a recruit - could you do hard and soft sell and select 2 interests and 1 x? Or would that go against you for not picking 3 interests?
@@waynewright5649 that's my bad i worded that first comment poorly. Yea that's what I have been doing I am just not sure if it's worth the 20 hr doing the soft sell for the 2 checks one x
Great video my guy! Love the detail with your videos. With a hard sell on the ideal pitch already, is it better to soft sell on 2/3 dealbreakers or contact friends and family?
Do you recommend waiting to sway until you already know they aren't interested in one of the items you are attempting to sway? I'm thinking if you do it too early you could sway on what was already going to be his perfect pitch if you kept scouting him and just end up wasting the hours.

Recruiting and tactician in my experience. It doesn’t appear that the bonus off-season xp in motivator is meaningful compared to the guaranteed +2s and big in game boosts in tactician.
Someday when my 0.5 star team builder team has more than 2 good grades, soft and hard sell and maybe sway will help
Oh and I had 4 interest all As and stacked hard and soft sell.
absolute pain
I’m guessing you NEED to have the deal breaker in your sway bc I think that’s the idea behind dealbreakers.
I watched your vid and applied what you said. I can confirm 4 is possible. I JUST GOT 5! THANKS!

@@FendlerYT I forgot to mention it was in 1 week as well.
"Short and Sweet". 13 minutes later. LOL. Thanks for the work :D
Got a 11-9-7 class of mostly gems besides the 5 stars. Loved it
How so many gems?
I tested this as well and can confirm no HC pipeline boost.
If you “send the house”on the last week you could steal prospects I was second and not near the commit point at all
Needed this... im losing a 5 star TE I need in online dynasty 😂😂
Thanks!
If you have enough upgrades between you and your coordinators, you can get 2 hard sells.
So you are changing your hard sell from a A+,B+,C+ into A+ all around.
did it on the fly bro lol relax
Awesome jersey! Thank you for the content
Might be that it's easier to sway depending on your coach abilities
I did this exact same thing with sway after watching this and lost the guy instead of locking him in, I got locked out and chosen over the other school who i was ahead of.
There was no reason to sway if you’re already in the lead lol. Think of it more like a Hail Mary. Not the right use if you’re already good to go
This was incredibly helpful information.
I think a solid middle ground is to always add a few extra recruiting hours when using sway.
glad to hear it helped out man thanks for watching
They need to fix awards in my guys states I won awards but can’t see them
It seems like sway works exactly as it did in 2014
I Mainly go for gems which doesn’t feel like it works but
Can you do a video on what to look for in your coaching staff
Landed a #1 dt recruit in the nation in a competitive dynasty!
comeon maaannn!
Professor Fen at it again
One question I’ve been trying to figure out is do you keep the hard sell on each week or do you take it off afterwards and go back to sending the house?
Ayone know why guys randomly change their playing style dealbreaker?
Not seeing people mention bye week recruiting. Using the bye week to add complementary recruits helps also if you’re in a pinch and don’t have a game available. i.e QB,RB,WR
Bye week visits aren’t going to be hugely beneficial
I don’t see the benifit of not giving scholarship
I have to confirm whether they had scholarships on them before the advance to precipitate the 2 interests. Been getting more feedback of folks holding offers until later
Great vid bro super helpful. You know anything about the mechanics behind instant commits?
Subbed because of the rant at 2:13 . 😅😂
lmfao W
Oh snap another part!(not sure if I saw part 2)
You can upgrade your pipelines under the program builder coach ability
I just unlocked it in year 4 as a new head coach at app state and I’m excited to see how much it helps! Also, south Florida might be the best pipeline and iv found it best to get about 15 guys in the board and fully scout them based off needs and pick out the gems. And slowly build that up to about 25 throughout the season. Leave 10 spots open to focus on transfers. I was able to sign a number 10 class my last season in year 3 with app state.
It's good thay could sway in the right direction 😅
No. It grays out the option if you already have a sell on it, I've been as high as 80 I think one some prospects
@@scrawny_ronnie7 this is a pretty sweet strategy then
Sway has never been an option for me. Always says I don’t have enough points
i have added 3 interest.
I have 2 or 3 players that I’m in their top 5 that I can’t schedule them . 😂😂😂
I guess this is common. I think this was one of the issues they said they were going to address in the upcoming future patch
@@magnumomega7861 Sometimes they already have 3 visits scheduled or you don't have a game that fits their schedule.
@@magnumomega7861 supposedly today's patch
@@magnumomega7861 ima just stop playing that dynasty then . Cal who’s under me is also recruiting him . And I’m not tryna lose him lmaooo .
this can also be possible because if certain players already have a bunch of visits they might not be able to visit you on your home weeks
I'm bout to treat homie like a dj with the requests 😂😂
Could you try experimenting on how influential the recruiting pipeline is? If you controlled the hours on the recruits, the timing of scholarships/visits/recruiting hours, and compared how two recruits with same interest levels in your school gain influence, and how the pipeline interacts with that
I realize this is probably super in depth, and I would try it myself but I get limited play time as a Dad.
Is doing a hard sell + soft sell better than sending the house? Also when would it be beneficial to use sway instead of sending the house every week?
yes on the first. maybe on the second Sway bit. it's not a guarantee like we saw in this video.
Something i have been wondering - if you have 60 hrs for a recruit - could you do hard and soft sell and select 2 interests and 1 x? Or would that go against you for not picking 3 interests?
You’d probably be better off doing a hard sell with 3/3 and soft with 2/3, but it’s all situational and depends how you grade out on each interest.
@@waynewright5649 that's my bad i worded that first comment poorly. Yea that's what I have been doing I am just not sure if it's worth the 20 hr doing the soft sell for the 2 checks one x
Great videos man!
Why does it consistently tell me I don’t have enough hours to sway when I clearly do
Great video my guy! Love the detail with your videos. With a hard sell on the ideal pitch already, is it better to soft sell on 2/3 dealbreakers or contact friends and family?
Do you recommend waiting to sway until you already know they aren't interested in one of the items you are attempting to sway? I'm thinking if you do it too early you could sway on what was already going to be his perfect pitch if you kept scouting him and just end up wasting the hours.
at least one, yeah
