I like your Simplicity of flying the ultralight, not having a big GPS for flying, the air in the face chacing Cows no airport just the enjoyment of what part 103, in reality, was meant to be. Have fun and God bless you
I have 200’ a couple of fields on my farm. And no livestock to worry about. Good to know would work for runways. Plus I might be able to taxi into barn as a hanger 😅
Hello from Phoenix, Arizona! I just came across your channel very cool. Hey where do you live? That’s beautiful country and I wouldn’t mind having some land to fly my drones and maybe even have a little ultralight when I was a kid I always wanted a weed Hopper I don’t know if that’s actually a weed Hopper or a different brandbut thanks for sharing your coin adventures with us. I’m gonna subscribe.
Very nice! I want to do something like this. I have open space for a runway at my house of 1000 ft long by 100 ft wide that already cleared. If I take out some more trees I can get to 1300ft pretty easy. I have never flown anything but am very intrigued by ultralights. Nice video
I would love to have one of those, but where I'm from you never see these ultra lights. I wouldn't know where to find a instructor unless I was to travel far away to another state.
I can relate to the cow 🐄 trouble. One of the fields I fly into has a bunch of cows that could care less about my fairly quiet airplane. Sometimes it takes 2 very low approaches before those cows move!
Dodging doggie poo is ok long as it behind you lol Mike those moo's are milking you! They know the secret way to nirvana I am happy to hear you like the brakes 😄
It appears that you have an MXL? Will you please tell us what size engine you have? I have an MX with a 503 and I'm currently constructing my own runway. It's about 600 ft and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get off. I'm running a 52-in diameter three blade prop. What size property you using also?
@@UltralightAirplaneDriver 🤔 The reason why I ask is because your ultralight lacks a fuselage (for drag… like deploying mega-flaps during a side slip).
@@TenorDad when I slip with the ultralight I am decreasing wing area and sink rate increases Is what it feels like. Although I’m not an engineer and don’t know for sure.
I had a MX with a R 503 on it i operated out of a 50 ft strip so ur definitely not flying the thing anywhere near its capabilities, and u need to practice short field takeoff and landings, watching ur video u definitely need to practice,u can park that thing in a very very small space when done right, and engine out u have to do it right, and only one shot buddy,so practice
In your opinion are these safer than paramotors? I flew a paramotor for a couple flights, but was terrified of a wing collapse, and gave up the sport. This option seems much safer honestly.
really enjoyed this...1st time watching your vids

Thank You
I second that! 😉

Hi from the UK. Such a cool Video. And I thought our airfield had short runways! The cows are funny too. Thanks for posting.
You've got amazing neighbors.
I agree

Do it 👍

Thanks! How much more "runway" would you need if you had a sport model? Any guess?

😄 yep
You need an air horn!!

Do you think that plane could haul my 250 lbs? If so, how long a runway would I need? Thanks much...love the video.
yeah you're not THAT fat. it would probably be fine.
Wow very short take off
👍
Who makes your ultra light?
What do you do if you return and the cow is in your way can't land?
Land elsewhere in the field 😁
Hey, what are you using for your audio setup?
Sena SMH 10 With old Gopro pack
Hey bro, where was that place in Florida you went to to get your parts at
Air-tech Louisiana
@@UltralightAirplaneDriver AHH i was way off lol
@@THELXFOX 😁
What engine are you running. If you don't mind me asking.
Rotax 447
Are slips (to steepen your approaches) effective on your ultralight?
Yes they are effective. Decrease altitude fast without increasing air speed.

What kind of plane are you flying?
Quicksilver sprint
I bet Courtney doesn't have the skill to land there!! 😜
😂
What type is this

Can u put the camera behind u so we can watch your feet an hand,we learn watching u
