Listen fellas, as I said in the video, personally, the possibility of heat damage still scares me! If you do this, BE CAREFUL! I appreciate you all ✌🏾🧔🏾
I do not use heat anymore, but from what I understand from hair stylists, products containing shea butter are the best heat protectant on the slightly damp beard before you apply heat.
I have to use the same oil amount as you do. I use heat setting of warm for 15 seconds and cool for 1 minute to prevent heat damage. Works perfectly; but my beard is almost completely white/gray. Nice beard young brother!
Hey man!! Thanks for this video. I was specifically looking for a black guy like me to share a blow drying video. I’ve had a beard for years and I knew I was missing out on having a fuller beard because I have a very curly hair pattern. Bought a blow dryer this week and tried it out and all the tips/tricks you suggested definitely worked for me. As you stated in previous comments I won’t be doing this daily and will definitely make sure I keep my beard moisturized. Appreciate you man! All the best to you!!✊🏽
Good vid brother. I also have a curly/coarse beard and have played around with using heat to relax the curls. Like you, I don't over do it to avoid heat damage. I use a similar technique to what you demonstrated. My blow dryer is more like a big brush with a blower in it. I have an actual electric beard straightening brush that heats up, bit I don't use it much as it is direct heat to the beard and I don't want to damage anything. It does get beard really straight through. Anyways good vid bro.
Thank you! Thanks for sharing your routine. Those beard straighter things scare me. The last thing that I want is a stright beard. Elongating the curls a bit is cool but straight? LOL NO SIR!
Great vid bruh. I have the same issue under the neck (4C hair texture) and I blow dry my beard once a week with oil or (balm w beeswax) to give it extra hold. I keep the hairdryer about 6 inches away while I brush and comb out my beard on low heat and I'm good. If you have no oil or balm left on the palm of you hands after applying then you're good. My beard usually doesn't go dry until later in the day and thats with being outside here in the Iowa winter weather whenever I have to go out. If I'm indoors then its good till bedtime. Fr tho you gotta let us know when the bruh's new product is available I know its gonna be fire. Keep up the great work... Shalom...
Thank you and thanI you for the run down on your routine. I might give that a shot. I'm sure DHyde and X will let everyone know about the go live and then I'll follow up 👊🏾
Great video Lump! This is a unique way to use the blow dryer, I personally like the blow dryer in one hand and a comb in the other and work together like that. - The Cousin's
blow dry didnt do at all for me... I have low porosity... and after the blow dry it left my beard tangle with few knotts,.. the overall look was dry and oily....my beard is a different breed but I had to give it a try since my neck beard is super-curly!! thx fam!
What up! All good! Your comment lets me know that you're actually following the journey. I appreciate that 👊🏾. I only used the blow dryer on special occasions. I may be a little paranoid but I am afraid of using heat too often because of possible heat damage. I did want to try and do it on a daily basis but I didn't want to wake up earlier for work 🤣🤷🏾♂️.
@@alanrealty4048 that was only after I did a deep conditioning treatment just to make sure all of those oils and stuff got through my beard. This video was to elongate my beard to show off how long it really was especially the neckbeard. My beard is SUPER curly under there and it gives my profile a weird look!
Great video LV! I feel your pain with not being able to see the true length due to having such a curly beard. Never used the blow dryer method, only ever tried a heated brush. Gonna have to give this a try soon 👊🏽
I love my beard! I’ve recently made the decision to keep it since I’ve went bald. My sides won’t matchup to the bottom of my beard which is lit 🔥. The sides are shrinkage really bad Vers my bottom is long, and on point. Any advice on getting the sides to catch up to my bottom?
Sorry man. I have no solution to this. My beard is 3 different textures. My neck is really curly so it looks shorter than the rest of my beard. MY only solution has been a little bit of heat to elongate the hairs. I've seen dudes apply heat on a daily basis BUT I'm afraid to do that due to possible heat damage. I don't apply heat very often but it works for me when I do apply heat.
Happy anniversary to you and your wife my bro. I just got married to my wife this year in September. I’ve known her since I was 13. God bless you and your wife and the beard and haircut looks healthy an great!

@@kemitamenophis3221 thanks for the info! That's exactly what I do. Hopefully, I'll escape any damage in the long run. Why did you stop using heat?
I use a comb and blower separately at the same time..the heat and tension from the comb really helps pull down that length ✊
Cool! I might give that a shot to see how that works out for me. Thank you 👊🏾

That blow-dryer comb really does the job done! Looking more fuller in the back is strong. I'm sure the more practice e you do will improve alot. 👌🏻
