Nice to see someone else’s way of doing this. Our beards are all so unique, nobody has the same waves, curls, etc. My blowdryer has become my primary styling tool as long as my beard has enough length. It becomes a quick process. 👍🏻

Thanks for doing another beard vlog being along time I am still growing mine out mines about the same length as yours just hit six months so I’ve found it helpful and I nearly made that mistake you nearly did and trim one side as I thought the same one side looks longer than the other

Yeah, it’s a horrible mistake to make. You get mad at yourself real quick 👍

Your beard looks Great. 👍🏽👍🏽 I saw one of your earlier videos, that just happened to pop up on my YT recommended list. You mentioned in that video you use a bay rum product. I've know about bay rum since I was a kid. My grandmother used this for medicinal purposes, that also included headaches. FYI bay rum excellerates the Gray hair process, and should not be used long term on your hair if you dont want your hair to turn gray before its time. I've seen the effects of this first hand, and thought I should share it with those that's considering using it.

That Ride of the Valkyries video you did is my go to beard styling video. Mine is too wavy for the comb. I need the tension the round brush brings.

That was a fun one to make. Generally I need the round brush to get a really good style, too.

Nice job Greg. I never blow dry my beard because mine is so thick n curly n waves that if I blow dry it makes it to stick thin. I love having a big bushy beard. I love how you don’t call it training your beard. @DanCBearded loves to say blow drying is training your beard but if it was really trained you wouldn’t have to blow dry everyday. Once ya train a dog to sit to don’t have train the dog everyday lol

Hello Greg. Very good video as usual!. It does not apply to me as my beard is not long. Have a great week.

    Awesome bro.
I pretty much do same process but after blow dry I do a cold shot through out my beard and then use heated brush for my mustache and sides only. You aren’t the only one that pays attention though out the day. My wife always tells me to act normal and not so stiff-robot like lol. I tell her I do that cause Beard is not fully dry. Your probably right in trying to keep it the way you groomed it.👍.

I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about with the stuff-robot thing. I actually brought that up in a video about the natural beard vs. the styled beard. It’s a bad trap to get caught in

Great vid Greg. I do that everyday. Only difference is I use a barrel brush to straighten it. And my Beard, is about the same shape and length as yours. It's right what you say though. As I become obsessed with trying to get it perfect. Which usually is asking to much lol. Anyway take care, and I look forward to more of your great vids in 2024. 😊

The obsessiveness is usually what drives me away from doing it all the time

do you have a video (or can you make one) related the the under beard. I have no idea what to do with mine. Do you comb it back or comb it forward? My under beard grows flat. I wish it grew straight down...

Now that my beard is getting longer, I think I’m going to start doing this again…at least one day a week, maybe two.

I'm surprised you can run a comb through your beard. Yours looks thicker than mine, yet I can't get a comb through my beard at all. The only way I can straighten my beard is with a very wide-tooth heated beard straightener. Great to see you emphasizing the need to condition the underbeard, too. A lot of men (apparently) don't realise that the visible beard is only one quarter of the things that need to be taken care of; the other three being the underbeard, the skin itself and the body (via nutritious food).
Unrelated story: I usually wear my beard at around the same length yours is now, but around 4 months ago, I noticed the condition of the hair (especially towards the ends) wasn't great. I didn't know why but I trimmed my beard fairly drastically because "it won't take long to grow back", but then I noticed it had stopped growing altogether 😮 I mentioned this to my doctor and after running some tests, it turned out that I have a problem with my thyroid gland which has drastically slowed the speed of my beard growth. I'm seriously bummed about it but thankfully, Greg's Videos are a thing and I can enjoy your beard journey more than I'm enjoying my own 🥵

How early should you start letting the underbeard grow? I’m at a couple months of growth right now and figured I’d continue shaving my neckline until maybe month 3 or 4 when the neck hair is more covered up by the face of the beard. Or is it better to start letting it go now? I’m planning on going to 6-12 months of growth.

    • @Shane.sBeard
      @Shane.sBeard 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

It may depend on the direction your hair grows in that area. If it grows straight down you may just let your neckline keep creeping down. I just look straight in the mirror and don’t shave or trim anything my beard already covers. Approaching my adams apple my hair grows upward so that takes a bit longer for it to grow long enough to start flowing downward. As soon as my beard starts to reach that length I let that whole area grow. Hope that helps you. 👍🏻
