I bought one after watching some videos and reviews. I was skeptical. But I couldn’t be more happier with the results. I’m a black man. I had been considering cutting it because I couldn’t figure out how to get the look I wanted. But this did the trick.
brother you have trimming yourself down to a science, great skilz with the hair tools, great video and tips to help the brothers stay groomed up and looking the part!!!!!
You did that so wrong. I’ve been using one for a year, and daily. Must use oil first and wait 5 minutes before hitting it with heat. You can make it super straight if done properly. And there should not be any smoke puffing off of it.
If you don’t mind giving me some advice. I read that oil is bad for straighteners but I see you said wait some time. What about beard balm does that go on after straightening?
@@kendtchileninjah5905 Beard balms should go in after straightening, due to the wax that’s in the balms. Oils will not harm the straightener by any means whatsoever. Clean the brush daily, after totally cooled off, by running a good quality paintbrush through the bristles and remove any hair buildup. You’ll be good for years with proper care. But yes, always use oil prior to heat. There are dedicated oils in the blend that provide a heat barrier. Without oil, heat brushes will get a bad rep for frying hair. Also keep that heat level at 360° or less.
This work the same on us white folks hair? I always struggle with keeping my beard straight when it gets long and am looking for something to keep my beard on point daily.
A friend of mine..well two of them happen to be white(Irish) with extremely long beards. They both say that they use the same routine as I do. Our textures aren’t much different on the face
Great vid my brother! Crispy beard line also. How would you recommend getting that sharp beard line without pushing it down? And what is your method of thinning out the beard line?
I read that oil is bad to use beforehand. What kind of protectant would you suggest besides oil? I have a straightener on the way and don’t know a lot about them yet
@@kendtchileninjah5905 any kind of heat treatment. My wife is a barber I use what she gives me lol. I don't know the brand but im sure if you go to a hair supply store they will inform you brands of heat treatment.
It’s cute. But why not just ask women who straighten their hair all the time? 🤷🏾♀️. Really should use a heat protectant to avoid heat damage but may get the same results with just a blowdryer.

The thing about paying your Barbers extra money to straighten your beard is that you're going to take a shower once you get home.

And I think 🤔 putting heat on your hair dry is a red flag man 🇮🇲 I feel like you should always add something to it first
I read somewhere that there should be heat protectant on the beard first
Seem like that heat can be very damaging to the hair. Especially with black men beards.
Just make the heat low
🔥🔥🔥
