I think it makes total sense that 1st place went to France. The French kill it at every film festival. The French New Wave changed the world of cinema forever. I've always thought of French filmmakers as the best in the world on a technical and poetic level, they're fearless and original.
Peter, You are changing many people's lives and inspiring so many people across the world. The world is truly a better place because Pete is here. Love from Africa, Kenya.
The winning short film is amazing. How the emotion and the longing for just a normal life (whatever a normal life is) are shown is beautiful. Love it! I am also impressed how many short films were entered. There is lot of creative potential. Would love to see more of these short movies.
Here to someone who won by working on Premiere for the first time, shot everything in 72hrs and submitted. Unfortunate, but you know what? Lets do it again💪
Beautiful work of art done by everyone who participated. It really was inspiring. I know there is also a lot of other people who submitted work that the viewers didn't get to see, but I know they put their heart and soul into it, and I bet they are all winners. Good job to everyone and keep going!

I love that the winners here didn’t demonstrate the absolute most high end professional image/sound quality but rather focused on using what they had to tell a compelling story. I know it’s cliche saying gear doesn’t matter and your title hits it home, but it’s cool to see you backing that idea in the form of a contest. Love this Pete and congrats to the winners

This time I'll be sure to submit on time! It was the second film I'd ever made so it took me a while to remember how to use Premiere... and I filmed it all on that Sunday, Father's day, so there's that! I'm really proud of it though! Peter, thanks for the kick in the pants to get me going. Congrats to all the winners and to all those that participated!

Congratulations to everyone who dared to compete, meet the deadline and eventually entered the competition. You all won by doing so. And thanks to Peter for being an inspiration for many creators. And to everyone reading this... don’t stop creating.
So, if someone hasn't followed you now I can't imagine why, has missed a lot And please make a summer competition where you give an idea or even say what the story should be because I struggle the most with finding the idea for a film Love your vids👍 definitely the number one TH-camr

Congrats to all the winners! I’m down for another challenge, because this was the motivation I needed to get me to dip into filmmaking, and even though I felt woefully inferior with my submission, I still learned a lot from the experience, and I’m confident that I can do better next time!
Personally I think No. 2 was best. Short, funny, surprising and with a deeper message that one might think in the first place 👍 Can’t get anything out of the other two, though. Anyway, it’s a matter of taste.

But honestly, it blows my mind that it was an honourable mention. Thanks for the challenge Peter, this was indeed a great learning experience. Let's do this again soon ✊🏾

ANOTHER FILM!!! It was so much fun getting together with friends to make a film. I didn't matter if we won or not, we still had a great time putting something together. It gave us a chance to think and to come up with camera shots and stories that we wouldn't have done otherwise. Thank you so much!

The films: I didn't enter because I find myself struggling to film while also having to be the subject of my films as I know absolutely nobody who is into the same things I am and willing to be my film subject/actor. But seeing these has increased my desire to just make with what I have now and work out the rest later! The outtakes: I must get through about 3 litres of water a day (not a clue what that is in gallons) and after about a week from when I started I thought 'So this is what you're meant to feel like' ... Stunning work to all t he winners and I’ll check out more entries later on. Nice one Peter, keep the collective, creative juices flowing
I am not only proud of having participated in a contest for the first time in my life; I am proud and happy for what I learned...and what made me happiest is that I made my short film with my 16-year-old daughter, and both she and the whole family was excited about the whole thing. My wife sent the video to our family and some friends...the script I wrote is the first thing I write and then other ideas came to me and I started to write more...well...it was a wonderful experience and thank you for giving us that challenge Peter!
Show women we can be filmmakers too? We are, and we have been since at LEAST 1911. Well over a century! Women such as Lois Weber, Alice Guy-Blaché, Germaine Dulac, Lotte Reiniger, and Mabel Normand were leaders in their respective fields, and they were supported by an industry filled with female screenwriters, and some hugely important female producers producing movies for a majority female audience. Lois Weber was one of the greatest film directors of the early 20th century - a heavyweight rival to D.W. Griffith and Cecil B. DeMille. As a woman who has been a filmmaker for almost 2 decades, I just feel that comments like that set us back (even if only in people's minds). I'm a female Production Manager of an extremely talented female-led video production crew. We're out there doing it -- and we don't even give it a second thought. It's what we're called to do, what we're passionate about -- and gender has nothing to do with it. I've actually found that women are the most powerful, driven, effective producers who really have that edge to make things happen. We're not underrepresented. At all. Just Google Female Producers in Hollywood. It's a brilliant list. (People like Emma Thomas, Charlize Theron, Kathleen Kennedy, Shonda Rhimes - to name a few). Keep making films and keep learning your craft because you're passionate about it, because you're driven, because you have a story to tell -- not because 'women can be filmmakers too.' Of course we can. There's no question about that at all. Keep up the great work. Beautiful footage!
"It just takes a great story...despite the equipment you're filming it on" Me and all the other small youtubers agree! I'm definitely saving up for a camera though! Anyone else?
Personally my favourite was ‘Password’ shame Peter did not place links to the three finalists YT channels! Looking forward to seeing the next challenge 😎👍🏻
And at the end of the day you may not need "extreme equipment", but you still need an equipment, locations, views, power to edit the footage, power to take the footage. It's ironic how stuck some people are - no chance to participate, no chance to change the fact. Filmmaking is money and most of the time you DO need equipment for your ideas. At the end of the day a good story is also really important but without the tools sometimes you can't tell the story you wish you could've told. But life isn't always fair so i'll leave that sink here and I hope no one gets discouraged and keeps on following his/her dreams. Stay creative.
Yes pete! We should do another One! Twice a year or more would be fun! You inspire me so much as an amatuer aspiring to excell in this Craft. I hope you read this, even though you're a busy man reading comments from every peoole who admires your work. Please do another One!🙏🏻 Love from🇯🇵
Yes do another one but even if you can't get another fiver sponsor. Theme suggestion: "your country" like you make a short film about why you love your country.
omg before i tought i know how to tell the stories, but after watching this i realize that it still so much to learn, i was to concerned about gear, transitions, but forget to learn about one little detailed that is called - STORY
The part where she left everything to pursue her passion made me tear up because I know how it feels to create a choice that big, it is not easy to live a life full of uncertainty especially after making a choice like that. 💗
Lots of great films ♥ I loved this challenge because these films wouldn't exist if fiverr hadn't done the challenge. As a Hispanic filmmaker, I am happy because I saw many contestants in many languages and also because the only reason I made my film was because Peter's video gave me an injection of motivation and turned my lazy friday into a productive weekend. Congratulations! to all the winners! and the non-winners too, because they filmed something in 72 hours, only finishing a film in that time is an achievement. Feel free to watch my entry on my channel and i'll wacth yours, Peace and keep creative!

Keep making films and keep learning your craft because you're passionate about it, because you're driven, because you have a story to tell -- not because 'women can be filmmakers too.' Of course we can. There's no question about that at all.
Keep up the great work. Beautiful footage!
ok, I was not the only one. Thanks! Danni
Yes that pissed me off too !!!!!
well said!
It’s today’s victim mentality. Forget facts, statistics, and decades of change, we read somewhere that everyone’s a victim so here we are.
well said. her comment is just sad.

"It just takes a great story...despite the equipment you're filming it on" Me and all the other small youtubers agree! I'm definitely saving up for a camera though! Anyone else?
My goal is a softbox
I want an R5...probably gonna "settle" for an R6...lol
Which camera are you saving up for sis?
@@Rockyroadpool Understandable goal! I'd love one down the line. Are you close to being able to get one?
@@DarkCornerStudios Both are great cameras! Are you getting is soon?
I keep going back to the older videos! I Love em all!
yes, please another short film competition like this, i miss the last one, definitely join the next one!
Personally my favourite was ‘Password’ shame Peter did not place links to the three finalists YT channels! Looking forward to seeing the next challenge 😎👍🏻
6:58 Interstellar "Cornfield Chase" plays in the ears...
It definitely makes sense that a 2 minute Tuesday is in a Friday.
Makes enough sense
I think Ill be dead by the time people on the internet spell "definitely" right 😂
@@johnkevin7992 hey, sorry, you alright?
Please do another One!🙏🏻
Love from🇯🇵
Yes do another one but even if you can't get another fiver sponsor. Theme suggestion: "your country" like you make a short film about why you love your country.
Guess us Americans aren’t gonna make one 😂
:( its hard to love my country
@@sethgordon99 why can't you love America? If I was an American I would probably love the culture
@@cruzeirocrivellari hard is not impossible. But every country has its pros and cons you just have to find your countries pros.
There is plenty to love about our country, and plenty not to love. Just like a family. It could be 2 films...or 200
Anyone else thinking that the „BWHATS UP everybody“ clearly belongs BEHIND the intro? Also great vid as always and great job to everyone that entered!
David Mota, managed to make his video, and you can't even download his content and watch it, he hesitated ugly !!
mimimi.

omg before i tought i know how to tell the stories, but after watching this i realize that it still so much to learn, i was to concerned about gear, transitions, but forget to learn about one little detailed that is called - STORY
Thank you Peter and thank you everyone who submitted videos! It was great and inspiring!
finally, i watch a video from your after uploading it directly, achievement unlocked!
watch the movie of David Mota
Vim pelo David
Perto dos ganhadores, o do David ficou bem pra trás, infelizmente.
The ads really killed it for me, why’d you put the cuts in the middle of the short films? WHY PETER WHY!!!!!!
I was going to say the same; I think these were auto-spaced. But oh such bad timing!
Answer = TH-cam premium
TH-cam announced they were going to start do midroll ads that are out of the channel owner's control. Maybe this is an example of this happening?
@@marquiziosaldana9201 No the answer is Adguard. Used it for years, NO TH-cam adds! I so despise them!
B34ST GAMER yeah was a bit of a spoiler for me 5 adds during that 👎🏽
The part where she left everything to pursue her passion made me tear up because I know how it feels to create a choice that big, it is not easy to live a life full of uncertainty especially after making a choice like that. 💗
Awesome job everyone and great job Pete for fitting five adverts into the final you tube video!
🙏🙏👍
I didnt think he saw every video, i uploaded my on my channel now. have a look, but u need to watch till the end to make sense
Hey Peter, I pre ordered the R5 and I can't be more excited, my first professional mirrorless camera!!!!!
Yeah..must be awsome 👌
So happy for you Bud🤟🏽🔥🔥
Wow, congratulations mate
🤯Envy u right now 🙆♂️
Congrats brother. I got my Sony a7iii a while ago then I realized my computer can't really handle the footages when I edit. Keeps freezing
Now I gotta invest and build a pc 🤦🏻♂️ at least $2500
Hopefully you have a good pc
The women who made the 3rd place, s could be in the 2nd, I guess. Her cinematography was quite impressive.
I'm really jealous of creative people. People who can create something beautiful on a blank canvas, without stock or copies!
Wow! Incredible creation to all those who contributed. I liked everything I saw and hope to get to those levels one day.
