Hands down the handsomest most charming actor to ever grace the silver screen! Classy, sexy, romantic, funny, he had it all. And could play drama too--Notorious, Mr Lucky; the end of An Affair To Remember when he realizes Terry is crippled always makes me cry. I had a chance to hear him speak in San Francisco but didn't go, and he died soon after. Always regretted not going :(. My favorite of all his roles is as Johnny Case in Holiday with Kate Hepburn. Second, a 3 way tie between Nicky Ferrante in Affair, Roger Thornhill in North By Northwest and Brian Cruikshank in Charade.

It has been 37 years and one day since Cary's death (11/30/2023). There are very few actors that worked for 30+ years and still had the ability to captivate an audience. He also became one of the first actors to break free of his studio contract and work independently. I can think of no one, with the _possible_ exception of George Clooney, who comes close to Cary's style or grace. Favorite movies: Holiday, Philadelphia Story, Notorious. RIP CG ❣ Thank you for this great bio. ❣

Mine too! I do love that era of movies where they still sang. It saddens me that now they call that "a musical" and most people won't sit in a theater for those, sadly. LOVE Father Goose! Have it in my vid library.

Mr. Mayo, I know the feeling. Our family moved to another country 20 years ago and one of the few VHS we took was a homemade Father Goose. We watched that so many times, our family did and still does use quotes from Father Goose. Just the mention of it now, and we all feel the need to watch it again (now on dvd). It was the only good movie we had for several years and we still love it!

Not only he was blessed with good look, he had a kind heart too, donating his incomes in movies to Britain and US war effort and proceeds from the sale of his photographs with hospital staff to the hospital.

What an extraordinary life Cary Grant lived. His prolific work as an actor along with his extreme generosity sets him apart as a true entertainment icon. Good work Archie!

Marc, that is putting it lightly and I agree 100%! Jerry, YOU are the treasure and your channel is wonderful! I hope you keep on entertaining us forever. Sometimes the new movies they put out in this day and age aren't worth the plastic they come wrapped in. So, when I am looking for something really great that isn't the "patented" and "silly" mode, I rely on you and look to you for great vids! Thank you, my friend, and may you enjoy and share ever more movies with all of us!

Great job Jerry. So sad to know he found out long later in his life about his mother and so cruel of his dad keeping it from him all those years to both of them for All the years mother and son were rubbed of their relationship!!! He was and is my favourite actor well misunderstood in life and by his wives!!!
