@Vivek Pandey correct same was the case with one project that I was working. Process had given highest velocity and then.... After the process data was received it was decided to add a blower to the line so that thermowell is inserted well in the process but still engineer's were taking the same velocity which was for a smaller line size. And for smaller line sizes the velocity is usually high so no wonder the thermowell was not passing the WFC test .....
Yes even we had asked for stress calculation since even through the helical spikes are present they can avert only vortex shedding Damage but the thermowell must be evaluated for static stress. While we were working for a project of a top oil and Gas company we had confirmed from vendor that vortex shedding would not be an issue and just asked for stress calculations Hope this helps 😊
@Sai Eashwar ! It is really good that you get the values in Flow rate. I have worked on quite a few projects where the process department would give us the fluid velocity !! Usually in m/s ( Meter per second)
Asad thanks for sharing such informative videos. I would request you to make videos on thermowell sizing calculations for vessel installation which is I guess different from pipe installation
Hello sir..your videos are great..we are learning a lot from them.. Can you also put some guide on instrumentation and control interview questions for experienced professionals in oil and gas industry..
Sir good evening can you please make some videos on each different types of instrument data sheet with deep explanation which will help me get stronger knowledge

Asad it's a apt case.
There is another dynamic also when thermo well is installed at an angle to the pipe and another when at a elbow in the pipe.
Thank you 😊.
And yes you are very correct "elbow" and "angle" installation are also important cases . Where we need to see the direction of flow etc
Sir plz share lone size thermowell calculation.
And why use angle thermowell
And how much will dip thermowell in the pipe
Hi Asad. Good video. Just wanted to know upto what size ,pipe swaze up is done
Dear Salman, As a thumb rule For any size less than 4" we swage up the line to 4".
I hope this is what you wanted to know !!
I usually get highest line velocity by process not flow rate in temperature cases.

In cas of Helical type TWs. Should we not ask for Vibration calculation anly we can ask for stress calculations.? Please guide

Does Process ever give it in velocity? Don't they usually give in Flow rate?

Expecting more instrumentation knowledge from you
Sure, Thanks for your kind words of Motivation. It means a lot 😊

how to download PIP std ..pls provide the link
To know the insertion length, immersion length stem length like this
Do you mean the steps as to how to calculate U-Length of Thermowell ? (Please let me know if i have erred in my understanding )
@@AsadPassionateEngineer insertion length ,extension length
Then whats the standard can we use it? As you said PG explanation video
can you please elaborate your question ? thanks 😊
@@AsadPassionateEngineer what are standards used for TG and TE
Sir can you please make a video on thermowell calculation for of TE &TT
Yes sure.... You mean Wake frequency Calculation ?
Sir good evening can you please make some videos on each different types of instrument data sheet with deep explanation which will help me get stronger knowledge
Sure !! I will sure make on these topics as well 😊
I was waiting for this type of videos
Thanks Mr Asad
Very Very Good 👍 Nice 👌
Thank you so much 😊
Yes this is similar to bernouliis principle that I learner during jee 😅
So true !!
Thanks
Glad you liked it! 😊
A1v1 = A2v2
Correct 😊
Sir hindi me bhi vedio banao
Sure, Will try my best 😊 thank you !!
