Instrument Index Preparation | For Mega-Scale Projects
Tag Number
The tag number is a unique identifier assigned to each instrument in the plant. This field is essential for identifying the instrument in the index and other documentation. The tag number is often used as a reference in other records, such as maintenance schedules, calibration records, and repair histories.
Loop Number
The loop number refers to the specific loop or circuit that the instrument is part of. This field helps identify the instrument's function and location in the plant. Loop numbers are critical for understanding the instrument's role in the overall process and for troubleshooting purposes.
Hookup Numbers
Hookup numbers refer to the specific connections or wiring that the instrument is connected to. This information is vital for maintenance and troubleshooting activities, as it enables technicians to quickly identify and isolate issues.
Instrument Type
The instrument type field specifies the type of instrument, such as a pressure transmitter, temperature sensor, or flow meter. This information is essential for understanding the instrument's functionality and for selecting replacement parts or calibrating the instrument.
Location
The location field indicates where the instrument is installed in the plant. This information is critical for maintenance and troubleshooting activities, as it enables technicians to quickly locate the instrument.
Description
The description field provides additional context and information about the instrument, including its purpose, range, and accuracy. This field may also include notes on the instrument's installation, calibration, or maintenance history.

Not necessarily it's ok if actuator output is higher than MAST, depending on application. The actuator only outputs the torque needed so as long as the valve doesn't jam or isn't subject to more breakout or dynamic torque for the application

The LP side "shall be filled with Heavier Fluid" in this example it is water, but it can be any fluid that is the the bottom of interface level measurement.
