suggestion, I might be wrong though : if you set the label to clip instead of repeat, you wouldn't have the issue you had after scaling, since the UV islands out of the texture box would be transparent by default.
You absolutely can! Make sure to parent the whole thing to an empty before moving it around. If you try to join everything using ctrl+J it's going to break.
Thank you very much! I watched a million videos on how to make a normal label for a bottle, all of them were wrong and crooked. Thank God I found your video, you are a genius!
This was so unbelievably helpful! I am newish to blender and I always struggle with UV-unwrapping transparent labels onto products, but this helped so much! I'm favouriting so I can keep coming back to it. Thank you for taking the time to put this together! :)
This shit is not working! I have followed all of the steps the texture gets warped no matter what ant keeps repeating itself the only way to stop that is to change the UV scale but then it will distort even more!
Go to your image texture node in the node editor and change the third option from repeat to clip. Double check to also see if your texture coordinate is set to UV. Let me know if this helps. GL
Just gonna leave this here for anyone else struggling with the same issue. The mapping node can be found in the shader editor (Shift+F3). N.B. The other editors also share the same hotkey. So toggle through them till you land on the shader editor.

Yup! You're absolutely right. Setting the image texture to clip solves the issue after scaling.
Thanks! Shrink wrapping is really clever!
Thank you so much! This tutorial was insanely helpful!
Thank you much!. Is it possible to move the object and the label after using the shrinkwrap modifier without it deforming ?

I'm glad you found this video useful.
How do make the label (only alpha part) will be a little bit embossed you know, from the bottle? like a real sticker would.
I've addressed it in this video: th-cam.com/video/LWXeIsn-pA8/w-d-xo.html
thank you!! you're helping me so much xx

Thanks! You're most welcome!
This tutorial is goated
Thanks. Simple but to the point.
Thank you very useful 👍
Great tutorial :)
I dont understand the controll T command to access the image texture mode. i'm on a mac when I hit command T nothing comes up
Check if you have node wrangler enabled.
Amazing tuto many thanks for help but do you have any idea how to make a real hot foil please...thanks a gain
Thanks! Just post an image of what you are trying to emulate on the discord group and I'll have a crack at it. discord.gg/j6xWUFEYPt

You're most welcome.

amazing tutorial
Check your mapping node to see if the scale is set to -1. That's one reason for the text to appear mirrored.
@@Art-of-Akrosh thank you s much for your answer, i am quite new to blender. Where do i find the mapping node?
i found it thank you so much! amazing video

Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
