Thank you for the look around (when possible). Glad you both seemed to have fun. Hope you enjoyed your time with your family my friend. Have a great rest of your day.
Another great video! Whenever in Chicago will pay them a visit. Also wonderful motivation to venture into more of the “comic catacombs” in my local LA area. Thanks again!😎🙌
Welcome back home to India safe travels can't wait to see your encyclopedic deep dives into your new acquisitions you've shined the light on so many titles and artists honestly it's a lot although our tastes run very similar but not really youre an enthusiast who loves them all and gives anything and everything a chance .
Nice video. I've lived in Chicago most of my life and I've only been to Challengers. The other places looked very nice. Especially Alley Cat. I might visit them sometime.
Those 50% Off sales are wallet killers 😭 How many tens or hundreds of dollars have fallen into that well? Like, yeah, you get cool comics but still Alleycat Comics really had the perfect name set up for it, huh? Those longboxes are such a warm piece of visual flair. If I ever find my way to Chicago, this is a must-stop
It seems curious to not allow photography at a store…given that images online essentially become free advertising. Perhaps it’s a privacy concern? Or perhaps worries that people take photos of books which they plan to buy discounted online.
@sleepyreader666 there's definitely a question around privacy, something that I try to be hyper aware of. But as the signs specifically say 'please don't photograph the books', I think you've hit the nail on the head with the online-shopping theory. And honestly, given how many people I've seen do exactly that - save photos of dozens of books upon shelves to look up on Amazon - I kind of get it...
Very fun! Alley Cat looked like such a cool place to find. Just imagine randomly stumbling across it. How cool would that have been??
@@ahchiu9 haha, indeed! And even though we knew where it was supposed to be, it was still a sort of hunt and discovery for us 😁

Fall weather looks beautiful!
It was lovely! And, as a New Delhi resident, I also enjoyed the crisp, breathable air! 😁

Thank YOU! And I'd love to one day, somehow, check out such catacombs in other cities!

That's usually the way it goes - the tourists have more leeway!😁
But of course, I heartily recommend all these places if you ever get a chance!
What an amazing video! So excited for that Live 😁
Thank you! Hopefully coming up very soon!
Nice haul!! Hope to see it soon in detail

And yes, Alley Cat was a great recommendation/ find, I'd love to go back!
Forgotten how much I loved Huck.
@@jonoakley6795 I've heard good things about it from people whose opinion I respect, so I was glad to run across it!

Would love your thoughts on the Indian comic artist Anand’s Stories from Zoo book. It is being published by Bubbles as well!
