You only deleted the back part, gotta straight pipe the center of the truck or even remove cats for sound . Very educational video though. Thank you for sharing!
I had a 2019 before I just recently got my 2023. And i noticed more with the cold air intake. Just more drone from the engine brake and a little more whistle from the turbo. I was wondering if an aluminum cold side pipe and the cold air might help make it sound more like a truck.
I think it may sound the same just because it’s a diesel and has that DPF. I too expected a difference! If it was a gas engine, it definitely would’ve sound like a monster.
Ever thought of deleting the air intake Helmholtz chamber? Looks like after you unbolt that monstrosity it's only a 1.5" round hole on the otherwise straight intake tube. Maybe a little more I take rush noise? Sure would make me happier if it did but can't find anyone who tried it. Only full air intake swaps. Also there's a silencer ring on the turbo but kinda a pita to even get there to try to remove it
Just had some "exhaust" work done to my 2017 super duty, gained about 75hp and 100 miles worth of fuel on a tank. Went from 16mpg to 20mph. Still has the resonator inline. Thinking about deleting it and adding an exhaust tip.
If you want power and loudness delete your egr and dpf put a 5inch straight pipe turbo backed then get a tuner. I got an ez lynk and and sct on my 2 of my trucks
i removed that little muffler and by looking into it there were only few little holes, they would not change sound very much on anything, in my opinion. Muffler is a flow-through design.
You deleted the muffler and resonator, or just the resonator? I deleted the resonator on my 2015 ecoboost and it made a world of difference in the sound. Now i have a 2017 super duty and want to do basically the same, but will it have to be tuned after?
Honestly if you want it louder just delete it if it’s a 2017 or newer they are pretty much bulletproof. Just take the dpf system out and put a race pipe in and unplug your egr and put a tune on it
@@luisgarcia7937 Just go to any diesel shop online and build a cart. I went to OSTAZ and built a cart. They are an authorized dealer for GDP tunes. I got 5 inch flow pro pipe, EZLynk access, monitor (which you dont have to purchase), 5 position high idle switch for $2300. I then went to SPE and bought the replacement cold side charge pipe for $249. Had a shop do the install (cause I was chicken shit) for $550.

You did nothing but waste your money. You need to do way more then just deleting the resonator. Delete the cats get a after market exhaust. CAI Game over
Only time you can tell a difference is when your sitting there revving your engine, which serves no purpose. Pretty much wasted a $60 bucks in my opinion. I can't imagine making your truck louder, just for the sake of noise. Maybe if you were a kid trying to impress someone at high school. But if it makes you happy, that's all that matters.
Yeah but I mean its worth a shot to spend 60 bucks to see if it makes a difference vs 400-500 for those stupid DPF back systems. You cant blame a guy for trying to pinch some pennies
Worth the shot! Thanx for the honesty

Well I was hoping that this would work but I'm giving the video a like because now I know not to do it

Exactly what I was looking for! But as you mentioned didn’t make much of a difference.
IMO is sounds marginally louder, but probably not enough to notice in the cab.
I think it may sound the same just because it’s a diesel and has that DPF. I too expected a difference! If it was a gas engine, it definitely would’ve sound like a monster.
Yup I did it on my gas today and OMG what a difference..
I had done it in my 2016 Ram 1500 and it was a beast

Sound Isn’t In the resonator it’s in the dpf system

All def systems are quiet. If want any change ya got to get rid of er all. Our new massey tractor barely know its running
They sound way better deleted
It sounds pretty much exactly the same.
LMFAO
Go Stacks !
I did mine years ago and no sound or performance difference what so ever with the resonator. DPF delete is well worth it, resonator not so much.
i removed that little muffler and by looking into it there were only few little holes, they would not change sound very much on anything, in my opinion. Muffler is a flow-through design.
You need to delete that giant trash can underneath..then you’ll hear a difference bud
The catalytic converter ?
@@camulus7800 DpF filter
Won’t be much difference
@@jamesfranks3267 literally a massive difference…
@@ENJAYALLDAY57 from removing the resonator?
You're gonna have to delete the DPF if you want some real sound and horsepower increase (100 hp)!
Smells super bad though
@@Coltonm8994 I love the sweet smell of diesel.
Diesel smell is orgasmic
So the guy is under your truck with a stupid face mask on but no safety glasses, can someone please tell me how in the world this makes any sense.
U can see he has it in his hand as he moves to the other side bro
Safety inspector here...
Maybe he’s getting over a cold and is trying to prevent others from getting sick from him?
How do I know this was a martinez tire and wheel shop in San Antonio.. man does great work there
You nailed it. Those guys will do just about anything.
The DPF and the muffler block most of the sound tho
You should have also replaced the ugly dual tips.
What did you hope to gain ?
Sounds the same.

i just did this to mine f250 it’s pointless
That’s crazy that it sounds pretty much the same lol
5 inch straight pipe with a 10 inch tip and a tuner
Gay
Look up dpf back delete kit
Same
Its definitely a little louder
Sounds louder before
Change your camera setting on your forward facing camera...
No difference except that your wallet is lighter...
Nice 👍 all I guy can do it try.
Im going to do a diesel delete and go back to a gas truck……these new diesels these days scare the shit out of me with future repair bills!
I mean I hear like 5 more chest hairs....but it still sounds better
It doesn't sound like anything coming out the exhaust to be honest with you

im late to the comments but there is a difference its a tab bit louder
Is it deleted?
It is not. I still have the DPF for warranty. If I did the DPF delete it would be very loud.
Whit Runion hmm interesting I didn’t know they even allowed this tbh
Is it deleted lol must not of watch the hole video.
@@TheWhitfactor wouldn’t be that loud as long as you put a muffler in place of the dpf

Worthless upgrade, oh and good thing the mechanic was wearing a mask, wouldn't have wanted him to get something in his eye....wait...
No difference just revving it higher.
Ur not supposed to let a Diesel rev over 3k..
Says who 🤔
Only way to make it sound better is remove the dpf

Same shit
No difference
LOL that did nothing
