@@1.1797 What id been planning is there would be non Newtonian padding would act as the arming coat, Kevlar would be the mail, and Hard Ceramic Plate for the metal plates. Or super hardened steel

So what I got from this is you can make a kevlar vest that will stop armor piercing 308 rounds
Maybe im missing something but I cant seem to find a video where you guys have done a spall and frag test with the kevlar lined 3+ plates.
45 layers plus a metal or posit or maybe a fiberglass or a plastic or gel plate of some sort could do the job of breaking it up and then with a rubber backing
i would like to see modern version of cuirass made from kevlar + steel (+ carbon fiber or ceramic?). It could be thicker in vital areas and good form to deflect bullets from different angles.
I was specting the thick version would stop it. Would it be possible to harden, if not all the block each layer group with a resin? like epoxy? would that make a difference?Or may be one yes one no?

I like you say 3a is 9pannels and I'm thinking use 10. "We use 10 panels"
If there were some alumina ceramic plates in front of the Kevlar then 15-20 layers of Kevlar would have stopped it!
What if you just added thinlayers of titanium sheet or aluminum
I remember there was a military armour designed like that called dragonscale. It was basically kevlar with titanium "scales" woven inside the vest. Was strong enough to stop a grenade pressed against the chest. However titanium is very expensive, so they stopped production of it.

So a man-carrying drone with shielding of 50 layers of kevlar could protect soldiers assaulting trench lines over minefields to the flank of a trench line? Actually, the distance was also close and no aiming up against gravity... so less, perhaps.
I don't think they can stop .556...you should be able to shoot through several 3A
Honestly even those 50 layers of kevlar still didn't look safe seeing as the 5.56 round still blew 10 layers out of the vest. Unless you installed some sort of ceramic or metal plating inside those 50 layers, I wouldn't trust it to save my life from a 5.56 gun.
