Love the cragg y don . Was here last in jan for one night , they upgraded me to a double , sea view free of charge . It was lovely and warm and really cosy . Breakfast lovely too . Will be goin back with my family soon . 😊
Looks very clean and tidy. £99 for dinner B&B for 4 nights sounds like extremely good value for money. Lack of mattress protectors in this day and age is just really weird. Excellently presented review, clear, concise and covers everything you need to know.
I absolutely love Blackpool. Never been to the Craig y don. But yes would stay if I had to. Lovely and clean. Not to badly priced. Go to Blackpool every year. Absolutely amazing.
Breaks to Go coach service based in Glasgow, but goes through out the UK . What get the coach from towns to hotels not just here, but a list can check via website. Price includes coach, hotel bb& evening meal, and tram/bus pass for your stay.
We've not stayed here before, but I wouldn't say no, as it looks lovely, clean, and freshly painted. That's a great deal to stay for £99, as you wouldn't get anything for that price, especially on the seafront. It's good to see some of the seafront hotels get a facelift, so I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's finished. Thanks for showing us around the Craig y Don.
Stayed here last 3 years, great prices, clean, good food and staff lovely. Tram and bus stops facing and very near central blackpool. Will be there end of march
Just a through Paul. When you check the toilet, it might be an idear to lift both lids of the toilet. We recently stayed in a 4* at Manchester airport. The toilet looked clean until my partner lifted both lids. It was covered in facial matter. The cleaner obviously was only cleaning the top lid. We were moved rooms and upgraded.
I was expecting it to be cheaper than the price you paid. It’s a Blackpool classic hotel that I’d imagine is always busy. The noise would drive me mad though but the entertainment looked good.
The room looks really nice the only gripe I have cup is wrong way round we turn ours upside down where I work to keep dust out but all in all not bad till the next one 😊
I stayed at that hotel about 3 year ago paid for a Seaview room and had to complain at reception as got room at back of hotel and had to pay extra for the room I originally booked. Stayed about 3 days breakfast was OK, but on leaving hotel after my stay the reception staff never asked if I enjoyed my stay if everything was OK and if I enjoyed my stay, and I said I would never stay at that hotel again
Hi mate I resentley subscribed to ya channel and yh looks very clean and yh I whould stay there price to me just about right another great review take care stay safe
Great review. Wish you'd ' do' the Park House Hotel & The Sheraton - always fancied staying at those two. We usually stay (or should I say always 'play safe'} at The Cliffs, but I fancy 'risking' a change. (My husband says 'better the devil you know'. Ugh)
From the outside I wouldn't have known it was a hotel (from a distance) more a restaurant. Your room was really good and clean great for the price. I'd stay there looks like a nice hotel and I'd love to watch Liam perform he's great. Brekkie looked appetising glad to see you had your Weetabix 😂 Maybe there was a Line dance convention on. Thanks Paul 🌼
I have stayed in here twice with my eldest grandson we both loved it we were there for the elvis weekend there's a tram stop just across the road from the staff are really friendly and helpful we had a problem with the shower and it was dealt with in about 5 minutes from me reporting it to the guy coming down and saying that it was fixed like you said the hotel was very clean and tidy but I didn't realise that we had to bring your own shower gel which wasn't really a problem as there's a home bargains store about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and the only downside was the creaky floorboards lol 😂
Very good hotel,I have been many times with my wife, very good value, good food and entertainment, very clean, staff are very welcoming and friendly, the bar well stocked a little expensive, overall a good hotel.
Love the Craig y don have been numerous times with my grandchildren and with my husband...The only problem been its become very popular and we can't always get in the days we want...That have to be when the children or on school holiday's... I would definitely recommend it But if I do I may not get in myself..lol.
I would stay at this hotel, but there would be two of us. Perhaps the more staying, get a discount. Very good with evening meal. Look forward to your next review Patricia 👍
Nice hotel room was nice but just think it needs a bigger topper on the mattress breakfast looked really nice I would stay there the price was OK Paul 👍 ❤❤
For anyone wondering about the name it is welsh. "Rocks of the wave". It pronounced CRaI.g er don. Sò, Cryig er don. Properly named after a Llandudno suburb. The "Y" is always pronounced urgh/er when used in the centre. You can see Llandudno from Blackpool.......just. (Im welsh)
Hi mate, love your videos especially the Blackpool ones ! How are you finding a night at this hotel for that price ??? It’s way more when I’m Looking ! Cheers
Thanks for your video, great detail as always, like you a tad expensive, the room basic but clean, needs a bedside lamp though 😊 Thanks for the name in english, as always that was a strange name, lots of entertainment in this hotel 😊
@@whoknowswhere Hi Paul do you fancy a trip on the manksman to do a review it sails to tje Isle of Man from heysham or fleetwood not sure which its quite a large boat new, as they have a smaller boat, you always see it from bispham/cleveleys maybe an isle of man hotel review if you decide to stay over, just a thought thanks.
As far as I know the only boat trip from Fleetwood is the little Fleetwood to Knott End Ferry which only tales 5 minutes. Unfortunately the big ferry port closed down years ago. You will have to go to Heysham for a boat trip to the Isle of Man. On a clear day when the Lake District mountains are in view it would be fantastic. I do love a good boat trip but unfortunately there are none on the Fylde Coast except the 5 min trip between Fleetwood and Knott End. I do enjoy watching the boats from Bispham where I have seen the Isle of Man. Xxx
@@bredaquirke7362 yes its the manxman a large boat leaves from heysham its a day trip, or you could stay over and come back on another day, just a suggestion for Paul to consider, he may not like boats, i have been sea sick in the past, like to look at them though, and know they are popular, for many people.
Great price for couples.cheaper than staying at home out of season we're going to llandudno sommerset hotel 8th March 5days 4nighte ?109.THATS ON COACH AS WELL.
Hi Paul. I am going to give my analysis on first impressions. Your room was small, but i suppose was adequate for you. The bed seemed quite small for a big fella. You noted that there was no mattress protector. No soap or dispenser in bathroom. I also noticed the rear end of the bath was not flush with floor, something wrong there!. There was also a large crack in the bath panel rear end as well. To some extent the room just looked tired and basic for 'want of a better phrase!' Again Paul this is just my initial observations of the room. You mentioned the noise above you. That could not have been fun, although you said you slept okay. However, Paul you said the food was okay and yes it did look delicious. You said the staff were nice and helpful and that was nice for you. Overall Paul i'm not sure whether i would want to book a room there to be absolutely honest. The cost i think, yes was reasonable. Overall, could do better in relation to room preparation. I understand Paul that it is not described as a luxury Hotel, but basic attention to detail would be nice don't you think?. Lastly if staff see something in a room that needs maintenance intervention why don't they inform them. Its quite simple.
Looks good my friend. Hotel looks great. Often find that travelling alone you seem to pay more. Alway charge a single supplement when booking why they have single rooms in hotels. Seems solo travellers are penalised.
Hello Paul how are you love your vidio very interested of the Craig. D don Jon Paul stayed there last year at Christmas best wishes take care stay safe from Lynn x
Paul hi, there is a Hotel near the Pleasure Beach, South Shore way, called The Carousel, would you check it out sometime, that and Tiffany’s please. Thank you
19 of us stayed there for the millennium for 5 nights thu-mon for £250 each all in . 6 family's we had a great time i was 20 at the time with my parents and brother 18 and aunty and uncle and cousin's 4 neighbours family's and friends we had live music every night and disco been back 2- 3 times since now i go abroad for new years for the last 20 years
Hi Paul. Its a very nice clean hotel, yes I would stay there for sure. Just imagine if your line dancing neighbour upstairs was feeling amorous ????, you wouldn't get much sleep. :-)
CONSIDERING WHETHER ITS ONE PERSON OR TWO, YOU STILL HAVE PUT FRESH BEDDING ON AND CLEAN IT, OBVIOUSLY ITS A BETTER DEAL FOR A COUPLE, BUT OVERALL IT APPEARED WORTH A VISIT.
The Hotel looked fine to me I have been past the place many times over the years don't know why but it's never appealed to me to stop there I think it's the name it just don't sound right. A lot of places in Blackpool are dog rough but I think there all upping their game these days as folks expect a lot more for there money the price you paid I suppose wasn't out of the way as you say the poor old single traveler is usually penalised as regards Hotels.
Never stayed but I stayed at the hotel next door about 22 years ago it was then called the Tyldsay. It was great looking out the bar window at the really high waves at high tide before the current sea defences were installed. At that time these hotels were nearer the sea and prone to flooding. It is a very old building, build in Victorian times. It might be older than the Tower. I know this part of Blackpool well, I'd say it's much nearer to Central Pier than South Pier. Very close to Manchester Square tram stop. Also near to Blackpool football ground. Looks a nice room with a nice bar with great entertainment. Very good review. The only reasion I wouldn't stay there is because I live in Blackpool. Xxx Being a Welsh name it does stand out but it is finally nice to know what it means. Was surprised they didn't provide you with a hair and body wash.
🤩 Hiya Paul, apparently you offend people when you put the Bible in the bedside drew. Like apparently they dont like us saying Merry Christmas 🎄⛄. Ive stopped at the Craigy Don, last March. The room was very clean, plus the food was very good, staff all friendly, i would stay again, the tram was right over the rd. 😊 Keith was one of the friendly waiter, hes lovely. ❤️ Really look after us. In March, Monday to Friday, bed & breakfast 🥐 & evening meal, £125. 00. 😉🙋🏼♀️

This is a nice hotel but better to book a room on the top floor , if possible. I don't think the floorboards were to blame for the noise....possibly an amorous couple having a bit of jiggy- jiggy.

This place is lovely and clean. £99 from mon to fri is a great price, you would pay that for the food alone.

Hi Paul, it certainly is worth a stay .. it looks a fabulous hotel 😊👍
Used to go to the next door the royal see bank was nice not being in for a couple of years
I like the look of the hotel, but if its a buffet breakfast. Then i want to help myself.
Maybe that's just me. Haha
Great video as always.
Looks clean enough thank you great videos
My friend is staying in there at the beginning of April. I shared your video with her, so she knows what to expect :)
Looks like a really good little room

Hi Paul I stayed there in 2019 I didn't think much of the hotel or room I had ... Just basic hotel
Nice hotel room was nice but just think it needs a bigger topper on the mattress breakfast looked really nice I would stay there the price was OK Paul 👍 ❤❤
yes, would stay, looks clean and meal looks good.
Think its more of a coach tour hotel. Room looked nice, surprised they didn't squeeze a small double bed in and call it a cosy double!

Hi mate, love your videos especially the Blackpool ones ! How are you finding a night at this hotel for that price ??? It’s way more when I’m Looking ! Cheers
Try booking.com or ring the hotel for a price they are doing short stay from £99 for 4 night hb depending on the time of the year
Another great video, you didn't mention if the heating was sufficient for the room.
Yes nice warm in bedroom bar area was cold in the day till later in day
I stayed there 42 years ago. No en suite then we had to share the bathroom. It was lovely then and even nicer now. A bargain for £99 mon-fri.
I might do some dancing Paul 😂 you are funny.
Its best to take a partner or share with a friend. I think its expensive for one though. You are quite right. Janet
Stayed there for a few years now it’s a great hotel

How about a series on airport hotels.
Doesn’t look bad at all Paul. I would give it a go for that price
Was there any arrangements for resident parking
Parking explained in the video
Sorry obviously missed that bit
Yes I agree it's over priced for a single room, I would say £32 - £37 per a night but great video Paul.
I'd like to try there sometime.

Looks a nice hotel, I would definitely stay there , thanks for that .

Great hotel nice review
Very dangerous with bath shower , no anti slip mat in bath if u use shower
Its ok l like the hotel sheraton its lovely great service lovely decor great food lovely rooms etc
yes lovely efficient staff
If you like my reply, we can have a week there sometime out of season. Keep the costs down sharing. Janet x
Not bad at all.
That was dear in comparison to a double room I notice no bedside lamp room looks fine 🍻
The lack of bedside lamp and shower gel just cheapened what was essentially a reasonable product.
Looks good hotel I stay their price was good yes I check the offers on line or ring them 😅

If folks are returning regularly it indicates a good establishment.
The best hotel in Blackpool the price is great for what you get

That room is so small, it's not for me. Compared to double occupancy the price is high. It's also quite an early departure time, is that a UK thing?
yes 10am is normal
