love the updates.. after watching the series. integrating bms like diybms would be really suiting.. worth considering and improves the vertical integration.
Pro Tip: Wet the area when you're painting (damp not pooling). Keeps the dust down and cuts the amount of overspray sticking to the floor. Old body shop trick. Just make sure you are mindful of any electrical hazards in the area.
If new Inverter JK-BMS with active 2A balancer was used, it would be possible to add small fuse holders on the PCB board for each of the 16 balancing wires with 2.5-3A fuses for sure. Of course for small mA passive balancing, which all these other industrial BMSs use, this is not needed.
Just want to say thank you so much for posting the gerber files to those 48v pcb buss boards to pcbway. I ordered a set with 2oz copper and the little connecting boards as well with a blue/ENIG finish. Was pretty expensive but worth it for the extra copper imo. I got the compression kits from your site tho so im super excited to build two of these batteries!
What did it cost to have pcbway make them? I just got mine from jag35 I think it was like $131 shipped but does come with those connectors for the cells as well.

It would be great if you could also modify this DIY BOX and PCB board to accommodate the standard battery cells (the blue ones) for 105Ah, 170Ah, 230Ah, 280Ah and 304Ah as well as a choice for different BMS. You wouldn't even have to sell and keep BMS or cells in stock, everyone would provide those themselves, just pre-made DIY BOX kits with PCBs for selected cell size and selected BMS would be awesome ! There could be a lot of interest in such DIY BOX kits with PCBs, especially if the price would be much lower compared to DIY Chinese battery boxes that are the same but sold under different brand names.
Red would look nice or could order a vinyl cover that has an image of the board on it (like they do for cell phones so looks like you can see internal parts)

Hi Great video as always :) Got a quick question. I have a UPS that had it's batteries die. Upon opening it, I found two Lead-acid 12v9.0AH batteries hooked up in series. Replacements go for around 31 euro each. I was wondering if there is a guide or approach to upgrade the batteries to have greater reliability/capacity to keep running for longer. Many thanks for any feedback :)
My suggestion, get a jk bms 16s with 2A active balancer it does a better job with used and unmatched cells like yours than this type of bms...... also, the box is a bit tight for a battery that handles high ampage you need to give some room for heat dissipation if not might end up in smokes or fire or dead bms in a shirt while
How do you balance the 16 cells once its on the wall and all enclosed? Does the BMS do that for you (Based on prev video with the dual batgos attached.. hence confusion)?
I need the enclosure!!! Please offer a flat front panel so we can modify!

I bought 96 of those cells and I need this setup for my solar inverter communication.

You asked about the white glue in another one of these battery box videos. Try E6000 white glue. Seems to be pretty much the same stuff to me.

Yes it’s literally what the BMS does, If they are within voltage specs
WARNING - the balance leads are labeled wrong on the PCB - should start with C1 not C2.
