    Car audio amplifiers do not pull a constant current. They pull currents in bursts. So these are perfectly fine for audio use with a large capacitor. It will run 10-20kw amplifier setups fine.

    As this is the smallest pcb you designed, do I have to run 32 batteries or can I use 20 or 24 batteries until I can afford more? I live in Trinidad, so shipping that many batteries may kill my budget. Will you be making smaller boards in the future?I really don’t want to buy exsensive aluminum bus bars.

    If using in car application do you need a balancing system? Someone had mentioned that it woild cause more of an issue than anything if one sell isnt up where need be. What would be the benefit to using a balance charger or can it charge off of alternator on its own

    • @jehugarcia

    • @mrwigglezdj
      @mrwigglezdj ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rule of thumb for headway, 10ah per 1000 watts, so your 12,000 watts you'll want to run 120ah to have sufficient battery available. And keep voltage from alternator limited to 14.6v maximum.
      And do not put trust into a balancer alone, build a contact relay controlled by a 30a bms so in the event of a power draw the bms will cut power and save your bank from being drained to 0 ruining everything.
      Need help with it send me a message it's not difficult and worth the additional protection

    I'm not familiarised with this PCBway board designs, so my question may sound a bit stupid, but could someone explain me how the series among the 4 cells is done? The design shown has no connexion among cells. Are the connexions done with external wiring? if yes, why so and not through the board directly? probably because of the amperage? Thanks for a short feedback.

    • @zaprodk

      They are series connected trough the boards.

      There are total 32 batteries, arranged as 4 sets of 8. Each set of 8 is in parallel, and the 4 sets are in series. In each of the two designs (old and new), there's a top PCB and a bottom PCB. Starting at the + end of the pack: [+]--top--[+ Set1 -] --bot--[+ Set2 -] --top--[+ Set3 -] --bot-- [+Set4] --top--[-]. Hope that helps.

    When they speak of a stiff pack they mean like back in the date we used to use capacitors as stiffening caps. And what the stiffening cap does? Is. Give them the extra boost of power instantaneous without killing the battery? So what they're saying is they want to use these batteries as a stiffening cap
