@@AlteoriActually, the definiton of a furry is if you value a chance to be an animal more than your own humanity. If the answer is yes, then you are a furry. It isn't just about fursuits, porn and fucking. What you know about the furries is like 12% of what they are ACTUALLY about.
@@thegamefur7330 You say that, but liking something so much that you become a fan isn't a concious choice. If it were, then the Brony fandom wouldn't have exploded in the way that it did, and the term 'brony' wouldn't have been coined in the first place. I don't know what you know about it's history, but on 4chan a couple of guys decided to troll a bit and pretend to really be into the new MLP show. Of course, others went and watched an episode or two, to see what the fuss was about. Then they descovered that they really, unironically did like the show, and a fandom was born. Now, these Anons didn't choose to become fans of a (according to stereotype) show for little girls. Had it been up to them, they'd never liked it and moved on to something else. But it was not a choice, they just liked it. Of course the Furry fandom has a different origin story, but the same holds true. People don't choose to really really really like animal characters with human traits, it just happens. Of course, it's up to one's personal choice if you refer to yourself as a furry or not, but that's a different question. If I'd swear up and down, left and right that I'm not a furry, with my furry avatar and my furry content and the furry art I create, and the furry cons that I've visited, and the furry books and comics and statuettes and artwork on the living room walls... Would you actually believe that I am not a furry, or would you think in the back of your mind, "yeah right."?
“Is Alteori a furry?” Alteori: Of course not! By the end of the video. Alteori *in Joseph Joestar voice* : OOOOOOHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOODDDD!!!!!!
uhm, so now every person who roleplay as animals are furries? no, thats people who actually like to act and have fun as them but not f*** them, which would make every kid a furry.
the only part that wasnt as cute was her giving her definition of furries as being people who wear fursuits, identify with animals and f**k in animal costumes. that statement made me a bit uncomfortable because that 3rd one especially is parroted so often by people despite not being true at all. Sure its the case for some people and more power to them, but painting the whole furry community with that brush just feels ick.
lol, you are really right. Furry is such broad term. some are the costumers. some are the.... ones we dont talk about. but for a majority. furs are just people that have made a character and enjoy the art or community. some dont have a character but just like the fandom. there is so much that could make you a furry. buuuuuuut. really it comes down to you specifically. do you consider yourself a furry? yes? youre a furry! no? youre not a furry!
@GamingNews eh.. not entirely true. There are groups within the furry community who prefer feral characters, rather than anthro. But it’s as was stated, it’s up to you as a person to decide if your a furry or not.
So are we finally separating the label from the fandom now or what? I gave up along time ago trying to define it especially after the degeneracy. I just hide my face if I ever go to a con.

Same, I hate it when people get the idea that they said at the start where "they dress up in animal costumes, and identify as animals and frick each other in bumble bee costumes", because it only spreads more misconceptions (usually, also ik some people do actually do this and are in the furry fandom but it's not the main idea of the fandom) and if I were to ever open up to someone about this, I would hate it if they thought that it was mainly a kink thing :/

It's pretty obvious she's a furry, but not even the weird type, just a borderline one. The thing is, she's trying to deny the fact that she's one at all cause everyone just assumes that all furries are the weird type. Kinda sad really... They're not all suit wearers, and this is just an assumption, but I bet they act very similar to anime cosplayers, just with more animalistic tendencies lol. @@crimsonraiderxv3422 so like, what is furry actually? Is liking animals considered a furry? What about liking Sonic? I mean, he's cool and most people like him as a character. Does that considered being furry?
@@jeppyjep I wouldn't consider liking Sonic as being a furry. I know I mentioned Isabelle, loppuny, and Lola Bunny, but that was just to prove a point that most of us like *something* that a furry would be expected to like, so why the heck are we persecuting them? 😂. Sonic was my childhood, so of course I'm going to like him, but other than Sonic, I'm not engaged in anything else that has to do with anthropomorphic animals. In that sense, I personally wouldn't consider myself a furry, cause I just like one thing. I'll just gave my thoughts from "extreme furry" to "not a furry," cause that's probably what you want. I'd say the stereotype of a furry with a fur suit and acting like an animal is a furry to the extreme, but even then, other than being weird, they're not doing any harm right? Lol If you don't use a suit, but you still *really* like anthropomorphic animals, I'd say you're a furry, but to a lesser extreme, basically like an enthusiast, but not to the point of *must become animal (┛✧Д✧))┛* If you like *some* stuff relating to anthropomorphic animals, but it isn't your main thing, people would probably say you're a mild furry, but honestly, if it isn't their main thing, why call someone a furry? It's like calling me a weeb for watching like 4 or 5 animes completely *over the span of 7 years* and playing a few anime games. I like it a lot, but there's definitely room for other things lol. Now if Sonic is the only anthropomorphic animal related thing you like, no you're not a furry. If you think loppuny is lowkey attractive, I think that was the point of the design. If you think Lola Bunny is hot, well...the original one at least. Yeah that's *definitely* by design. Oh and the thick Isabelle thing was fan made anyway, so don't worry about that lol. Sorry for the essay. I keep doing this cause I actually learned stuff in English class, but I can't help but think about how many people are going to see this and be like "heck no, I'm not reading all of that." 😅

@@Alteori @Alteori Furry doesn't always have to be sexual. And anthropomorphism is the attributes of human traits E. G. human-like Intelligence, goals, emotions, etc So, Dodger is and would be categorized as anthropomorphic due to his human-like personality. As for being attracted to animal characters, no, my undeveloped kinks went in another direction. Blame totally spies along with others. As for being a furry, it has no true definitions. I think the first furries started in the 70s with full on animals with human mannerisms that evolved into the two legged variety of today( do your own research, I'm pulling this from my sleep deprived brain). All that said however, YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE! So, if you say you're not a furry, you aren't one no matter what anyone else says. Have a goodnight.
Furry by definition is someone who likes personified animals In any form, you are a furry by liking to personify a fox character. Being a furry doesn't have to be sexual in any way and you can just like animal characters.
Wait so if i like character like Sonic because he's cool, im a furry? I mean, who doesnt like Sonic? Or liking an animal in general is being a furry? What about the Vtubers? They sometimes took inspiration from animals. If people like them, are those people furries?
@@jeppyjep There are things that you like that will bring you closer or further from the term "furry" but there are may different levels. The ones that belong closest to that word are the fursuit wearers who go to every con they can and have furry friends and build their whole lives around the fandom. In comparison the outside edge of the circle includes people who know of furry and like the art or characters, maybe even have a few characters themselves but in the end it's up to you if you put yourself in the circle or not and how far in you go ^^

She's not a *furry*, she's an animal enthusiast. I mean I can fantasize about being a wolf or something but that doesn't make me a furry, it's a wolf not a human with animalistic features. You can like anthro animals as well without being a furry, like for example you can like sonic characters and that doesn't make you a furry. You can have an animal "alter ego" character, that doesn't make you a furry. That's no different than playing an Orc or an Elf on an RPG game instead of a normal Human and liking the idea of fantasy races.
There is a mostly forgotten saying: "Ask 10 furries what furry means, you get 12 different answers. If you are lucky you only get 12 different answers." So, depending on the definition, you are a furry or you are not. *shrugs*
When I first went to Anthrocon in 2000, one could ask 4 different furries to define furry, and you would get 12 different answers. I have to admit though, iver the oast 5 years Anthrocon has lost a ton of attendees and the majority of it's fun. The 2018 Anthrocon had only 30% of the total attendees of 2017 (Anthrocon has had a decrease in attendees since 2011.)
The part you're missing there, is that all of the furries you ask this, all of them will agree on one thing: being a fan of antheopomorphic animals. That's it, that's the definition of furry. The animal suits, the art, the conventions... That is what a furry DOES. A fan of anthropomorphic animals, is what a furry IS.
Every time Alteori tries to explain how she's not a furry, she basically outs herself as a furry. "Listen the time I went to Comicon and wore a fox tail and ears it was in a total 'NOT A FURRY' way!!!"

She just thinks she's not because she doesn't get in a suit, which was her definition, if that's the case then I wouldn't be one! And I love how the reason for her not wanting to wear a suit (she said she'd like a partial) is because it's too hot, and basically no other explanation Alteori is basically yelling at us from the closet door.
Furry: a person who is interested in anthropomorphic animals. That's it. It's not a sex thing. You don't need a suit. You don't need a fursona. You literally just need to look at Zootopia and think : "huh. That's a neat movie."
FACTS! I don't fuckin get it why people thinks the furry Fandom should be more than that. You think Anthro are cool, thats it! No need for sex, no need for suits, no need to role play. Its just the extreme part of our fandom who were into that, wich i have nothing against, specialy suits, those are cool as heck, but the propaganda media LOOOOVES to frame out community to be only about Suit, Roleplay, and Sex. Like, how are those Different to Cosplaying, D&D and Hentai? Not all anime fans are into those, some are into those, but they never expected everyone to be on to those. Why suddenly when its about the Furry fandom its all about, Suit, Roleplay and Sex?
I like anthro movies when it's held up by strong writing, but the look of anthro animals just look weird to me. I think more accurately furries are those who identify with andromorphic animals in some way, whether wanting to be them, enjoyment of the aesthetic, or that being a preferred type of media.. I think that's more apt, because people can like things they're not typically interested in. Like, I hate fascists but I wouldn't want to associate myself with antifa. It just is what it is.
No its not your just in denial and your scared about people thinking your a zoophile. that's why your defending her in the first place you want everyone to think it's normal to fap to animals so you don't get cancelled, doxed and have the cops called on you.
@Jamari Adderley You are correct in no way did I say other wise I was merely talking about how Foxes act, some people refer to foxes as a "feline dog" because of the way they act and sometimes appearance as well
As Dogder exhibited human like intelligence, talked, sang, used very un-dog like facial expressions. He was anthropomorphic by literal definition. De-nial isn't just a river in Egypt.
I believe there are 6 “levels” of furriness with levels 2-4 being those what we think of when we hear the word ‘furry’ The last two levels isn’t anthropomorphic anymore but straight-up animals (which is likely the level you like) and the zeroth level (not one of the 6 levels) is just a human
I think what she's trying to say is that she's a furry admirer, someone who isn't completely into furs but is fine and okay with their existence and stuff they created.
I've always felt bad for all the people with animal avatars for this exact reason, it's gotten to the point where now any association with an animal will either get the furrys to think you're one of them or the passing furry hater to assume you're one of them merely for liking an animal.
Not only pictures, but name too. I have had treatment on both sides because I had "Wolf" in the name. My name is a reference to a video game character. I used to have a Fox or Wolf symbol that had a dagger in it's mouth, based on one of the military emblems from the game.

And there are some dramas about some poeple being too intimate with their pets, but it's just loud minority as most furries despise bestiality as it's seen almost as bad as child... stuff... I'm bad example here as I'm ace, but in general furries are not atracted to animals, but _anthopomorphic_ animals capable of inteligent and inforemd consent, and even then it's more like you said with your dragon fantasies, where both parties are those anthro animals on comparible level. 4:04 "this is stupid quiz" Error: better responce not found 4:06 check point 0:59 **next quiz** another vague and stereotye based one 4:34 when your stories include character that look like normal animals, but have mind more advanced than those of an animal, then yes, we call that feral. Obviusly you want character you like have nice personality, otherwise that would mean you are interested in looks more than character itself, but don't tell me it would't matter if when Disney scrapped 'Reynard the Fox' for 'Robin Hood' they also scrapped animal characters. 9:58 "I don't wanna screw animals" ...but you like the idea of being such animal, fantasize about that a lot, and in those fantasies find it okay to screw the animals...
Is it judging tho, trying to guess someone's hobby? Is it judgemental if someone looks at me and says, "I bet you're into model trains"? I am, and...? Where's the judgement?
Her aggressively trying to prove she's not a furry and failing gloriously.... I was laughing through the whole vidoe. Ps: Keep doing what makes you happy, it's the only thing that matters.
I think there’s a ranking list that can help summarize that but I only remember it for anime characters. At 1 you have small traits that aren’t animalistic but are shared between animals and humans, 2 it’s the ears, tails, and noses, 3 there’s an even blend of both human and animal traits but it’s all on a human body anatomically, 4 there’s less human features but standing on two legs and wearing clothes is still present, and 5 there’s less clothing, sometimes completely naked or wearing a single piece of clothing, and can decide to be bipedal or quadruped. It’s an old list but I think around the 4th rank is where most people see themselves as a furry.
@@jaidora The fact alone that there is a ranking list, already shows how out of control this whole madness went This mindset, everyone to their own, is something that humans made up, because of our way of giving personality traits to animals that they look the part, but are not in real life Alteori tried to explain it, but only went into a blind rage What she tried to say, is that she is attracted to the human atributes assigned to the animal characters in those pictures, movies and what not It does not make her a furry but more so a human who picked up the """"right"""" attributes from those characters Because really, all animated animalistic characters are just humans with a different coat of paint Replace any scene of those characters that doesn't let them act in an animalistic way and you pretty much end up with the same movie

Also I find it amazing how comfortable you've gotten on youtube cos I remember like 3-5 years ago your jurassic world theory videos and you were so quiet and now you're so comfortable with sharing your amazing personality ♡
@Alteori take it from a fur: "Liking" doesnt have to mean sexual by any means and literally translates to just having interests in something. "Are you a furry?" Isnt asking someone if they like animals, it is asking someone if they are part of a fandom community which is 10% that wear costumes and the majority of us are either artists or fan of art depicting anthropomorphic characters in stories or images. You can be a standalone artist or writer who uses such characters and still not be a furry unless you decide to be. I joined the fandom originally to work together with like-minded authors to create wonderful fantasy-genre narratives with such characters(think Dungeons&Dragons in a world where humans dont exist similar to the setting of Zootopia) where the most muture it ever got was language, violence, and rare depiction of graphic injuries such as when a character fell down a cliffside after the edge gave under his weight and he got several broken bones and limbs and had to go through medical recovery. As for explaining the suit portion of the fandom, some in the fandom wanna dress up as their fursona which is what they wish they could be or just simply represents their identity within the fandom like a username, and they enjoy just making others smile and laugh like a clown putting on makeup for a show. Anything sexual is the person's own kinks and not directly related to being in the fandom itself. The stigma and bad rep come from the result of a very few bad apples in the community going to conventions(usually hotels), and then drawing attention to themselves while in costume, overdosing on drugs, and having massive orgies while doing colossal property damage to the place and it getting publicized. The fetishism of anthro characters comes from a side effect of psychology during younger age when our brains would just absorb any and all stimuli just as any other sexual fetish develops but isnt a requirement to be a fandom member. Lockstin/gnoggin did a video on it that I definitely approve of s he did his research and is very thorough on the subject in his video. Hope this comment helps and love your videos! Keep them coming and stay awesome! ❤ ^.^

@@brawmankerlexterminateurde860 Well technically speaking, yes that is true. But speaking as in all animals out of homo sapiens. Like a wild animal like a wolf, fox, or a lion.
Being a furry is about more than just being fascinated with anthros or inventing anthro characters. Even if you find yourself getting turned on by furry art, that's no guarantee as you rightly pointed out, as the vast majority of them are designed to be 90% human and being attracted to 90% of the human body is completely normal. Hell, I know furries who aren't comfortable with sexual furry art. From my perspective, what makes someone a furry is if they're more capable of being in touch with who they are as a human being through imagining themself as an anthro. Above all else it's about self-exploration and acceptance. A lot of furries I know have a much easier time standing up for themselves through the anthro they have created and express their opinions without being afraid that they're going to offend someone.

@@darkfoxxbunyip you realize that being a furry is still a choice right?
Lol
If you don't use a suit, but you still *really* like anthropomorphic animals, I'd say you're a furry, but to a lesser extreme, basically like an enthusiast, but not to the point of *must become animal (┛✧Д✧))┛*
If you like *some* stuff relating to anthropomorphic animals, but it isn't your main thing, people would probably say you're a mild furry, but honestly, if it isn't their main thing, why call someone a furry? It's like calling me a weeb for watching like 4 or 5 animes completely *over the span of 7 years* and playing a few anime games. I like it a lot, but there's definitely room for other things lol.
Now if Sonic is the only anthropomorphic animal related thing you like, no you're not a furry. If you think loppuny is lowkey attractive, I think that was the point of the design. If you think Lola Bunny is hot, well...the original one at least. Yeah that's *definitely* by design. Oh and the thick Isabelle thing was fan made anyway, so don't worry about that lol.

That's no different than playing an Orc or an Elf on an RPG game instead of a normal Human and liking the idea of fantasy races.
it's different. and it is completely ok to be a furry. even partially.
There is a mostly forgotten saying: "Ask 10 furries what furry means, you get 12 different answers. If you are lucky you only get 12 different answers."
So, depending on the definition, you are a furry or you are not.
You wear a furry suit or you want to wear one, thats the answer.
Every time Alteori tries to explain how she's not a furry, she basically outs herself as a furry. "Listen the time I went to Comicon and wore a fox tail and ears it was in a total 'NOT A FURRY' way!!!"

Alteori: **starts taking internet quiz based on stereotypes and very broad terms** "I"m definitely not a furry"
Let's go from the top shall we?
tl;dr Alteori is like Sabrespark, but with feral preferance, (also it's important to distinguish a person that's furry, and a furry that's part of the fandom)
0:59 "Those costumes are way too hot (I think they are really cute tho) [...] and I don't need to dress up in a costume becasue [...] I can totally play out the whole thing out in my mind. [...] does that make me a furry?"
Suits are optional for many reasons, them being too hot is one of them, and majority of furries don't have one or even feel the need of owning one becasue as you said we have imagination.
1:45 **canine with abs** "This is so unfair!"
The whole point is that those animals have human characteristics, and it's ok for you to point out that it's too human.
More corrct test would be mixing in some human model photos and pictures.
For something more animal I recommend art by Rick Griffin (ranging from technically safe to explicit) that can easilly be found on site like e621.
2:22 "uh... no I don't wanna become f... **sigh** [rant about being animals in imagination] Do I actually want to be real animal? [couple "if's"] OF COURSE!"
yeah... "definitly not a furry"...
3:10 "Every animal lover that likes to draw animals it's becasue they wanna fuck them?"
No?... Becasue they like animals, found them 'cute', or wanna see themself as such animal eg. in the form of YT avatar... like most furries do...
Who told you furries are about fucking the animals? Yes there is quite a bit of furry pron out there, but it's not all about that.
4:04 "this is stupid quiz"

4:06 check point 0:59
**next quiz** another vague and stereotye based one
4:34 when your stories include character that look like normal animals, but have mind more advanced than those of an animal, then yes, we call that feral. It's a niche thing sure, but for me at lest less weird than those taurs.

...except you started giving examples of talking animals with comparible to human inteligence, making them anthropororphic... you just have feral preferance. 9:58 "I don't wanna screw animals" ...but you like the idea of being such animal, fantasize about that a lot, and in those fantasies find it okay to screw the animals...

Ps: Keep doing what makes you happy, it's the only thing that matters.

You can feel the stress of denial on her 🤣🤣🤣 poor girl
@@Ruin_Of_EnvE LOL 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Us:You have a crush on Dodger?
Alteori: For the longest time
😂 I see what you did there
I'm starting to think "furry" has become too loaded a term.
Agreed
@@jaidora The fact alone that there is a ranking list, already shows how out of control this whole madness went
This mindset, everyone to their own, is something that humans made up, because of our way of giving personality traits to animals that they look the part, but are not in real life
Alteori tried to explain it, but only went into a blind rage
What she tried to say, is that she is attracted to the human atributes assigned to the animal characters in those pictures, movies and what not
It does not make her a furry but more so a human who picked up the """"right"""" attributes from those characters
Because really, all animated animalistic characters are just humans with a different coat of paint
Replace any scene of those characters that doesn't let them act in an animalistic way and you pretty much end up with the same movie
Alteori: Oh no, now they think I'm a furry.
Triceratops: Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I took a “what Godzilla monster are you” test. The LAST QUESTION WAS LITERALLY “what kaiju do you want to be? I picked Shin Godzilla and guess what I got: Shin Godzilla
Random Person: Alteori, are you furry?
Alteori: I draw animals better than people, because people irritate the shit out of me and animals don’t.
Random Person: 😳 Oh, ok...
Well she is not wrong
She's definitely a furry XD
@@asterix1912 eh no she ain’t humans are just stupid not like I hate being human but animals are chill not a furry btw

Just watching you ramble on about if you're a furry or not made my day. You need to become a comedian.
Also I find it amazing how comfortable you've gotten on youtube cos I remember like 3-5 years ago your jurassic world theory videos and you were so quiet and now you're so comfortable with sharing your amazing personality ♡
Yeah I was a robot back then 😂 I thought if people knew the real me they would get turned off 🤣
@Alteori take it from a fur:
"Liking" doesnt have to mean sexual by any means and literally translates to just having interests in something. ❤ ^.^
This is just adorable and I love it.
".....I'm still here."
I. AM. DEAD.
Having known a couple furries, they actually put all kinds of fans and cooling in their suits. Like from a cosplay standpoint, it's really impressive.
And have you *seen* protogen suits? Some of those are technological marvels with how they're set up
Can't blame you for having a crush on Billy Joel's magnificent voice.
This is how it begins Alteori. You start liking some. Then more and then more... and ....
BOOM! You have become them.
The part about being an animal with the human mindset is so true. I used to always think and believe that I would be one haha. That’s one of the most relatable things I’ve done and heard in awhile.
The thing is that every life form is an animal so you are just describing yourself all over again but in a different body
@@brawmankerlexterminateurde860 Well technically speaking, yes that is true. But speaking as in all animals out of homo sapiens. Like a wild animal like a wolf, fox, or a lion.
That's true, you're not a furry...
but you ARE a V-TUBER !! By definition.
Flustered Alteori just makes me want to pet her 😂
Oh god, we’re reaching ground breaking territory here.
(On the Oliver and Company scene) He's anthropomorphic... the fact that he has expressions and emotions that humans can do makes it so...
When animals are less anthropomorphic, we get Lion King remake vibes XD.
The title: Is Alteori a Furry?
Me: DGAF, I'm watching it because Alteori ranting is funny.
Agreed. It's always hilarious 🤣
I’m not into this furry stuff, but this whole video sounded very much like a huge denial.
Guys, she ain’t a furry.
She just uses the Fox avatar since she doesn’t wanna reveal herself.
(Correct me if I’m wrong)
I believe that you're right.
she did reveal herself lol
@@princeazaiah8679 not by her choice though
True
@@princeazaiah8679 Wait What-
Quick question: Where did the Alteori name come from?
I believe in my humble assumption, it comes from the word "Theory".
Bro you don’t need a fursuit to be furry most of us don’t have fursuits. Also, most furries don’t wear costumes while, uh, y’know… furry isn’t inherently a sexual thing either
Edit: the furry fandom doesn’t wanna screw animals, we do not accept zoophillia
Did yo actually get upset that they assumed you were? It's okay... We still love your fursona. 😂
"...If your wife was in a bitch..." xD Oh god why did this part crack me up so hard! I just didn't expect it xD
6:23 she answered her own question...
Just when you've seen everything worth seeing on the internet today, Alteori does not disappoint.
How to summarize and simplerize all this shenanigans: Alteori is one hell of a hissy kitten when she states that she's not a furry and when she's literally telling the truth. But those are facts as well.
I feel like we just watched her discover something new about herself when she was looking at those pictures. 🤣
As a furry, I can confirm that you are a furry. You were like how i was when i first got into the fandom
Too true . . . .
And now I'm a Tomato
@@tomatosvideos4495 I'm rolling lol
Is that how it works, you gotta know someone on the inside and they let you in?
Yeah no people can love animals it’s a normal thing I love animals but when people make them human like and doing sexual stuff that’s fucking disgusting leave the animals how they are imagine what a animal would think if they had the knowledge
Ew
Alteori: I'm blinking out of existance here from all the stress.
That resonated with me so hard.
Poor Alteori XD
I hope after this video the question either stopped or at least calmed down
