Thank you for the very well-founded analysis. It is indeed an excellent set. I also find the color scheme of the minifigures particularly successful, and therefore the overall ambience. A tower extension with a throne room and king would be fantastic and would perfect the set even further.
Thank you very much. I also think that adding a few additional rooms for the queen would be beneficial. I wish there were plans for a future extension to this set.
One of the best and most beautiful Lego sets I've ever built. The one big problem is that it comes with tons of minifigures but is scaled way too small for them. The rooms and towers are truly tiny compared to the figures. But as a display piece without the figures, it's amazing.
Initially, I wasn’t very drawn to this set, but after buying it, I find myself enjoying it more and more every time I look at it. You’re absolutely right about the minifigures-there are definitely a lot of them. However, if you have the Medieval Town Square, which doesn’t come with as many minifigures, you could easily spread some of the castle figures there to enhance the scene.
I think various shades of gray for the walls would have been better, but overall I think this is as good as it gets without being completely unaffordably large. The amount of minifigures is great. Would maybe have liked maybe one or two more civilian looking figures.

I like the quality and the chosen perspectives. Great video... but listening closely I think "hay bales become flour" is a little bit weired. Isn't it?
Found one for $250, still kinda pricy though so I’m debating whether to buy it or not… I really want it though… Your review is very informative, although I could tell the AI voice immediately.
I love your reviews, but find that non franchise lego simply doesn't make the shelf when space starts becoming a problem. Also my brother in law has this, and i think it doesn't age well. Just my opinion though, if someone gave me one for free, certainly wouldn't give it back.
I'm not entirely sure about it. I believe this castle makes a much better display piece compared to any of the Disney sets like Hocus Pocus or Snow White. However, when comparing Rivendell to this castle, I think Rivendell would be more eye-catching.
@@lukasthebuilderWe were lucky enough to be able to get rivendell last year. From bag 2 onwards its profoundly in a league of its own in every possible score for a lego set. Truly on another level. Looking forward to barad dur this year. Okay so its better than the smaller disney sets, fair point. We already have the disney castle and ucs hogwarts... Anyway, its good to know if we ever get it (times running out...) it stands strong for what it is.
To each their own. I personally prefer Lego IP over licensed sets. I hate licensed sets and what Lego's overreliance on them has done to the brand. Because of this, Lego is not the same anymore. So, I treasure the few times Lego still wants to create original ideas instead of parroting little Timmy's favorite superhero for the thousand and tenth time. But again, to each their own.
@@PlazDreamweaver Yeah fair enough. See i only played with lego as an afol, and only about 6 years now. Nostalgia has a literal zero effect on me. I started with the adult targeted sets as well.. treehouse.. and very much liked those.. but after having found star wars, jurassic, and now harry potter (to replace star wars).. compared tho what those collecting experiences offer, the generic lego pales in comparison to me anyway. Again, zero nostalgia. Its nice to see other people happy about lego that im not though, its both dodging a bullet and also enjoying a theme without actually having to own it.
I think this is a great toy, but a bad display piece. In similar price, i think I woulkd buy the Rivendell. Better display. But this castle give a fun feeling that rivendell doesn't give.
Fair enough! I dont have the rivendale set, but I would likely buy a 2nd of this over the rivendale. (having 4-5 factions of minis just has endless play value, vs the one side of the hobbit that pretty much replays a couple of scenes with no antagonist. )
I also don't have Rivendell, and I'm considering buying it once LEGO releases its next Lord of the Rings set. However, I think the castle is also an excellent display piece. Rivendell is probably more visually striking because it has more colors and is wider than the castle. In the end, the castle is predominantly gray, so it might not catch everyone's attention.
Im old enough that I display things but the imagination of my mind makes the adventures and play. not so much actually playing. maybe I could do some stop motion! @@MegaRamonBatista
I personally think the grey is a good place for the eyes to rest, but still full of various forms and textures to make it interesting, and then the colors really pop.... riven dale though is also spectacular in its elements, how they made the gazebo is just brilliant @@lukasthebuilder

@@lukasthebuilder I have the Black Knight Castle set at home, 6086. IMO the best castle set ever. Do you think that the Lion Knight Castle is better than the Black Knight Castle?
What is woke about it? A Queen? There have been some brilliant queens who have done a much better job than some kings over the years lol. Don’t like it, just change the head, is Lego lol or have you no imagination?
@@TheGold3agle Including in it just a queen, when this set, a nostalgic set, always had a king included, knowing that it WON'T hurt the LEGO Group to include a tiny piece of plastic, a king, to a set that is priced at 400$, and based on sets that were aimed mainly at boys, not Scala, Belville, Friends, or Disney Princesses, with mostly floral patterns or pink colour pallettes. Hence labeling it as woke, even if at 3% to 7%. Woke is woke. Castle sets always had men or soldiers fighting with swords and spears, divided into factions. Not veterinarian girls taking care of pets. Clear? To us, the woke signaling is very evident, and the LEGO Group knows it. But, as a person from Dubai, my problem is not with LEGO, but with the whole woke movement coming to us across the globe from America, where women hate men now, and men retaliating in hate too. We don't want to partake in any of it or any gender conflict, thus the rejection, and it is our right, our money you know.

@@lukasthebuilder that’s great! By the way, the quality of your video content keeps going up. 👍
@@jackyharuhiko Thank you so much. I strive to improve with each endeavor. This one took much longer to produce than expected, but considering the size of the set, I'm quite satisfied with the final result. Thanks again
There are instructions on rebrickable which are great and allow display on normal shelves and a lot more flexibility! I would check it out :-) I plan to get this next double points build the original then the rebrickable one after :-)
Luka can you please do a reivew on the 75337 AT TE walker? Keep up the videos man!
Thank you, but I don't feel confident about my knowledge of Star Wars, so I don't think I'll be able to give the set the justice it deserves.
Amazing 😍
So excited to have finally watched your review on this set! Another great review as usual.
Thank you very much
I love this set so much, but I have no space to display it. 😢
I'm facing the same issue, but I'm optimistic that I'll find a solution in the coming days.
I think that "window" is actually a garderobe, and that brown frog 'aint no frog...
Paraphrasing: "a mysterious brown frog, or could it be a brownie?"
"Transforming hay bales into flour"? I should hope not! Hopefully they make flour out of grain rather than hay...
With a little help from Majisto's magic, I think you can transform hay bales into flour. 😉
It's amazing, but 400 bucks, sheesh, we're not all Jeff Bezos you know.
You should definitely get one; it's an excellent set. I didn't think much of it before buying, but it truly is a masterpiece.
Is that your real voice or an AI cover? Beautiful footage and shots though
Thank you, it's an AI rendition.
I think I subscribed right 😮😮
I think this is a great toy, but a bad display piece. In similar price, i think I woulkd buy the Rivendell. Better display. But this castle give a fun feeling that rivendell doesn't give.
Fair enough! I dont have the rivendale set, but I would likely buy a 2nd of this over the rivendale. (having 4-5 factions of minis just has endless play value, vs the one side of the hobbit that pretty much replays a couple of scenes with no antagonist. )
@@jacobelmslie3862 I don't know your age. But I'm adult and don't play anymore. Display is what matters for me
I also don't have Rivendell, and I'm considering buying it once LEGO releases its next Lord of the Rings set.
I personally think the grey is a good place for the eyes to rest, but still full of various forms and textures to make it interesting, and then the colors really pop.... riven dale though is also spectacular in its elements, how they made the gazebo is just brilliant

Thank you for the compliment, but it's actually an AI voice.
"No bees are included"
and I also needed a bear, so much play adventure with all the peasant life
No bees or bears or beers are included. lol
@@lukasthebuilder nice man 😅😅😅. Mixing of bees and bear 😅😅😅
I love the castle theme, but I cant seem to like this set?? something so off putting my it? Not sure.
I had the same opinion as you, which is why it took me a while to get this set. Initially, I wasn’t really drawn to it. But once I started building, I realised how wrong I was. After completing it, I can confidently say it’s one of the greatest LEGO sets ever!
@@lukasthebuilder Do you own any of the old sets?
@@GudduHydrabad Castle sets? I have the Night Lord's Castle 6097 from 1997.
@@lukasthebuilder I have the Black Knight Castle set at home, 6086. IMO the best castle set ever.
Do you think that the Lion Knight Castle is better than the Black Knight Castle?
Follow up question: did you get the set sent out from Lego?
Nice review, but your script sounds distinctly AI-generated.
Thank you
Amazing review! Still not impressed
Thank you for watching! What specifically doesn't impress you about this set?
We are sorry, but we don't buy woke sets.
Who’s “we” exactly?
What is woke about it? A Queen? There have been some brilliant queens who have done a much better job than some kings over the years lol. Don’t like it, just change the head, is Lego lol or have you no imagination?
Wait what is woke about it
@@TheGold3agle Including in it just a queen, when this set, a nostalgic set, always had a king included, knowing that it WON'T hurt the LEGO Group to include a tiny piece of plastic, a king, to a set that is priced at 400$, and based on sets that were aimed mainly at boys, not Scala, Belville, Friends, or Disney Princesses, with mostly floral patterns or pink colour pallettes.
