- Stoked to be unboxing and building up a brand new 2024 Norco Sight C1!
Join me for my initial impressions and spec check of the bike. This is my third consecutive Sight, the 5th gen model and I've been stoked on each one.
Tune back in to get my ride impressions later this spring.

Wicked build. Look fwd to seeing you shred the local trails.
Looking forward to the ride review on this. Let me know if you wanna test it out in north wales sometime. 😉
Stay tuned for the ride impression! You know I'll be hitting you up if we come that way, we'll take the private guide!
Sic 👏 👏 👏 👏 🔥 🔥 looking at getting one of these.. Thanks for upload.. 👍
@@RunRideHikeThrive you bet! I’ve got 3 months riding on it now and am loving it! Rides super well, super light in the carbon model for a big bike.
Really looking forwards to seeing the comparison between the new high pivot sight and last years model. I'm still on the fence between the two because of the high pivot, but also because of the higher stack height on the new model. Awesome video and sick bike dude!
Thanks dude, appreciate the feedback!
I'll keep you posted, the additional stack height is definitely noticeable just from sitting on it. I have the stem basically slammed and it still feels (and measures) higher than my previous generation.
I'll post an update and let you know how that feels riding.
Somehow stumbled upon this channel, sick looking bike man! Might have to get you to give me a tour of woolastook sometime this summer. Just got a Norco fluid last year and excited to get out and about 👍
Unreal, love to hear that! Would be pumped to show you around Wooly, just like the old days haha
Awesome videos never knew you had a channel
Thanks Frank! When you're back riding we'll get some clips together!
FYI
The shock has 2 2.5mm external spacers that can be easily removed to run 65mm of stroke…. Should be 162’sh mm of travel. I have the same bike only slightly bigger….. S5.
Thanks, that's actually super helpful! I didn't realize the DHX2 came with stroke reducers, but I just double checked and you're 100% right!
I think I may split the difference and take one 2.5 spacer out and turn it similar travel to my last sight (157mm ish).
Have you played with your rear travel on your new sight yet?
@@freduromtb9523 not yet. I have a 170mm air shaft coming for the fork. When that arrives I’m going to remove both spacers. Conveniently the springdex is already a 65mm stroke. There’s no downside to running 65mm….. geo stays the same, just a little more travel. It’s like they designed the bike for 160 but didn’t want to creep into Range territory.
@@Daver-2000 That's wicked, shoot me an update after you've ridden it in either setting!
My G, get a little mic or something! Audio feels a bit rough... overall though great video!
Thanks dude, you're not wrong! Didn't have a mic for this video and audio didn't turn out great. Usually do have a mic.
Stocked on the bike buddy. Let's us know how she rides!
Thanks, stay tuned! Long term review coming really soon!
hi, i was wondering whether it is true that you can somehow make the bike have 160mm travel on the rear? I'm interested in buying the bike for enduro racing so i would up fork the bike as well. would this bike be a good enduro race bike?
Yeah, if you get any of the models with a coil shock, they stock it with a 65mm stroke shock that has 2 stroke reducers (2.5mm each) Removing each one gives you an extra 5mm of travel.
Super easy to do, just remove spring and they're held in with two small screws.
I'm not sure if they've done the same thing with the air shock or not.
@@freduromtb9523Damn, Thats so good to know:) i just got A1 2024 🎉
@@Antoan_J I have since learned that the models that come with Rockshox don’t have the stroke reducers that are easy to remove.
Only the models with the fox DHX2.
But you could still likely have the shocks stroke increased by a suspension company to get the additional rear travel.
@@freduromtb9523 Yup, I m about to do some upgrades in future. Found out this bike as my long term bike. :) so If I will lack "enduro feel" Zeb+Fox with DHX2 is way to go.
BOOOOOOOOOOO. These guys are frauds
