For monitoring diabetes, I use Freestyle Libre sensor with BluCon NightRider and able to get glucose values on my watch without the phone and without scanning the sensor.

I bought the device through Ambrosia, It is far better than Miao Miao. It works a lot better, I can share my data with my doctor, able to get alerts when readings are low.

Is it available in India? I was also looking for the same device where I don't need to do manual scan to get the readings. Kindly share the contact number if you have.

Hey awesome video. We as a diabetic group did a campaign for Diabetic community in India and found maximum of them are using freestyle libre pro sensor with Ambrosia Nightrider Blucon. It's a CGM device and gives reading every 5 minutes and sharing readings is also possible without scanning the sensor. I was so excited to ordered one to try. And you won't believe it works as it was explained.

I have Cigna insurance, and Costco said that the FreeStyle Libre is not covered by my insurance? At $75 for 2 weeks it is WAY out of my range of affordability.

CGM has made an amazing difference in my ability to understand what causes highs and lows. I never want to be without it. And I was wondering why I stayed with the finger-pricking thing for so long. That simply does not make sense compared to all the information I get from the CGM. CGM should be standard practice. I got my CGM because there was the two week trial period and I loved it so much that I got my doctor to prescribe it. I really didn't think it would be covered by my insurance because I'm a type 2 diabetic not taking insulin but very surprisingly it was covered. I am using the freestyle libre 2 and it costs over $250 a month but most of it is covered by insurance.

It's true you dont need to prick finger. FSL saved us. Also, I used my Libre sensor with Blucon. I don't need to scan my sensor even with the libre app. it gives me readings every 5 mins over phone and watch without scanning. My endo also started recommended Blucon to his other patients.

I’ve been using CGM since I was pregnant with my daughter, almost 2 years ago. I wasn’t having problems with high blood sugars or gestational diabetes. I had problems with lows…. Very lows. I was warned about it when I was a teen (the last time I had serious issues with lows). I don’t understand what my problem is- but, it’s hormone related. When I have high levels of hormones (like during puberty/pregnancy) I struggle to maintain glucose levels high enough. If I don’t eat frequently enough- my breath smells like nail polish remover (which offends people). Recently- I started having this problem again, so, back onto CGM I go. I drop into the 50s while sleep-around 3am. Then again, between 12 and 3pm! It’s weird. My doctor doesn’t know what to make of it. We originally thought maybe I was having high spikes and very lows… turns out, my levels never go about 115 but my lows have gone so far low that my glucometer read LO (both with finger sticks and CGM). 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have anti-diabetes I guess. (I know it’s called hypoglycemia- but it sounds better ☺️) I have found that carb loading before bed keeps me in the green all night. Though- it’s probably not good to carb up before bed…

Your case is very complicated. You need a really good metabolic workup. It could also involve a study where you fast for a long time and follow your values, and you may need certain tests inpatient. Make sure you see an endocrinologist…your case is unusual.
