Literally my first Blaster figure in 2012. While I never saw the original Voyager Soundwave I had the deluxe so as Blaster it's a decent fit. Nearly the same toy with some retooling, and the awful disk gimmick. Other than that a great update, and had the G1 accurate gun. Since have gotten both Legacy and G1 Blaster which are both better representatives of the character but this guy still stands tall and proud on my Generations/Universe shelf.
Who thought it was a good idea to give blaster chicken legs?

What do you mean? Chicken legs mean it has backwards knees. This guy's legs are normal.
Technically they gave Soundwave the chicken legs, Blaster inherited them by proxy mold

A gamer sound wave is something to look forward to if he’s a voyager cause the SS gamer deluxes aren’t the best. We know a megatron and cliff jumper are on the way so hopefully we see soundwave soon
man i remember going to my country's version of toysrus about to get my first transformers after being a HUGE fan of the bay movies and seeing so many transformers my mind was overwhelmed, for some reason the only transformers i remember that i saw was foc soundblaster soundwave and blaster, i miss those kind of days
I have the Soundblaster version and it’s amazing; I got it for like $13USD or so (including tax), it was used but it was complete with the shoulder cannon and Buzzsaw, the hips are a little loose but it’s only noticeable while posing.
I also gave it the gear shredder from the deluxe FoC Kickback, since it’s WAY too big for that toy, heck it might be a little too big for SoundBlaster, but it does look a lot better in his hands.
I have the Soundwave version, and is cool, but I think the previous deluxe non gimmick version is more accurate to the game. Still good figure and it was my first soundwave ever!
Btw, every time you review a mold of a toy I have, I feel the urge to go get them from storage and fiddle with them a bit
This for sure. I've got both soundwaves, and the voyager is there for the gimmicks, but the deluxe WF figs just felt like they were on another level.

My dad grabbed both this guy and his Soundwave counterpart for me this past weekend, very nice surprise to come home to.
I got this in the penny sale at The Entertainer years ago, where you buy one figure and get another for 1p, so that was a huge W. Good figure, had fun with it, but paint did need to be better, plus the scale was kinda funny compared to other FoC figures.
That's what I love about this channel, can get a review about something completely out of left field!
Soundwave goes into that fan mode in the end credits, when Till All Are One plays.

I have the Deluxe Soundwave version, and him and Reveal the Shield Jazz are the two Transformers that always come with me when I travel away from home.

I have the Soundwave version and he is the same as this Blaster but the head sculpt and the purple coloring on him is just fantastic
I just realized something startling his headsculpt why it seems so familiar is because it looks like a combination of armada hot shot and energon ironhide

I do have the figure, and I agree with you on Steeljaw because Steeljaw is not the best accessory figure, now, I broke the gun on copy of this figure, but the funny thing is, I could repurpose him as Blaster's brother Bluster from the IDW 2005 continuity comics because of Simon Furman jokingly creating him because of an error done by Don Figueroa, and thus, Blaster has a brother who's actually not him because while they share the same design, they are two different characters.
I'm surprised that you could reuse any Blaster figure and repurpose them as Blaster's family. Yes, Blaster has a family thanks to Marvel UK Comics, and Bluster actually has a physical appearance.
But still, this Blaster can also have the rifle from the Kingdom version as a replacement if you ever decide to be an idiot and break the rifle that this figure came with, something I regret doing because it was an accident with mine back then.
but still, you could repurpose figure as any member of Blaster's family.
Got the 3 versions of this mould, plus all their minions. Big voyagers compare to today standards. All are great.
I remeber seeing this when I was like 5 at toys R us and begging my parents to get it, its sitting on my nightstand in the back of my room as of this moment
The large hollow wheels and the overall shape reminds me of an old wild west stagecoach.
Epic review That Toy Guy!!! This remains one of my favorite figures of Blaster. I got second copies of Blaster and Soundwave and made Fall of Cybertron Twincast. lol Keep on being amazing.
I got this guy on ebay complete with all 5 tapes for $25 and its such a fun mold.
This is still my favourite Blaster, he is just so fucking stylish, and the alt mode really works for him

I bought the soundwave mold back in 2012 and owned it for about 2 years. I owned it up until my little brother brought it to his school, promptly lost it, and was likely claimed by some booger eating child. Haven't thought of that in ages until I saw this video, fun times. Miss this mold too.
I actually picked up this guy, Soundwave, and Soundblaster, as well as all of their cassettes recently. I’ve been debating whether to open all of it or not. Also, I didn’t know about the fan mode, so thanks for showcasing that.

you know the TF Wiki on some of its image captions keeps saying that Soundwave can in fact do the boombox mode but its really hard to do I first thought that was just a joke implying you had to break him into pieces or something to make it work but no I’ll be damned he can really do that
I have the soundblaster variant of this figure really like how it looks like an upgraded soundwave since it's bigger
I literally donated my figure just yesterday with all of his disks. He was fun as the first Blaster in my collection but I’m sure he’s going to a good home now.
I have since year the Soundblaster variant. Alway loved this mold. My issue with the Blaster variant is the chest in vehicule mode, but it's a near Perfect toy.
I have this and the Soundwave version both toyhaxed to love this mode
I don't know if I missed it in the video, but his left hand has a sculpted trigger finger for the gun, so I guess FOC Blaster is canonically left handed

Funny enough I have the Takara version of this figure and the legs are actually painted well

The Steeljaw/Ravage mold is sadly the worst of the FOC diskbots. The rest are pretty good for what they are.

I had the soundwave growin up. Loved it til I saw the deluxe.
1. Ahhh, yesss. I got this mofo in 2012 just after his Voyager class wave came out. And given that Tape Minions gettin' stuck happened first with MP13 Soundwave (and his Minions)...they've never been able to make the gimmick work, aside from the Titans Return version (because you just slide the Tape Minions in and out). Even the Siege/"Earthrise" Netflix WFC-T Soundwave molds and Kingdom/Legacy Blaster mold ain't perfect as the Tape Minions can still get stuck easily...and those don't have an ejection gimmick, you just slide'em in and pray you can slide'em out!!
2. This has been my Blaster for the over a decade that I've had it. Now with Kingdom Blaster (I got the Legacy reissue), FoC is my Season 1&2 "Origin Blaster" akin to Origin Bumblebee & Jazz (and the rumored upcoming Origin Wheeljack), while the new kid is my Season 3 Blaster. Even if it logistically & canonically can't work because Steeljaw is Season 3.

I am inclined to believe tjat this mould was my first transformer, but all that currently remains of it is about 75% of laserbeak and nothing else, so I dont even know what version of the mould.
