Wow absolutely incredible. Really enjoyed seeing the Karoo style houses and interesting old Buicks. Good one on the Satellite Police station. Looking forward to next upload 😀🌞
Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed Klaarstroom! It was a special surprise on that cold, rainy Saturday afternoon and we loved every moment. 🤩 The cars weren't bad either! 😁👌🏻
'A nicely converted caravan for travelling around in,' says Curtis excitedly. And Sonia replies: 'For one.' My husband has said something similar to me...hahaha - but my thoughts exactly, Sonia.
Loved those amazing rock formations they are just geogeous. The houses are beautiful well cared for most of them. Those old cars are lovely. Police station amazing.

Those old cars took me back to my childhood days. Rich people drove them.
Keep going you two!
They were indeed wonderful, grand old cars! I wouldn't mind driving one of those today! 😁👌🏻Thank you for watching, we appreciate that so much! 😊

It was a lovely little town, we also loved it that so many of the houses have been lovingly restored. 😍🏠 Thank you for watching!
This is one of my fave places. Lobe the rock formations. Yes, the Klaar in Klaarstroom is from the Nederlands Klaer, which means clear or pure.
We have a Klaarwater in Pinetown KZN
The rock formations in this area were phenomenal! ⛰️ It was an unexpected pleasure to visit Klaarstroom. 😍
Looks like a big storm is on the way!!!
I can just see that Buick with his TP numberplate driving in Pretoria in the old days....down Church street...with about 8 people in the car.....
😁 Actually now that you describe it like that, I can see it too. What a grand old car! 🤩
Buick
Indeed. Beautiful old cars. 👌🏻
You must definitely go back here as the Shed is a Padstal now... Very nice
Yes - we opened the padstal in Dec 2023 - please pop in.
I love the old cars. What a cute little town
I loved the old cars too! 😁😍 It was such a fantastic and unexpected end to our visit to this gorgeous little village.
The formations with the mix of rocks and soil is called conglomerate rock, caused when the area was underwater millions of years ago.
Thank you for sharing the info. 👍🏻🪨
There are 14 inhabitable houses in the old side of town. About 15 full time residents.
That implement is a pull behind baler
I missed the map at the intro.
The map at the beginning of Episode 172 included Klaarstroom and showed our route from Willowmore to Klaarstroom to Meiringspoort to De Rust. 🚗🗺️
