A thoughtful piece for reflection at Easter.🌹 Beautiful new instrument and performance. Wishing everyone a joyful Easter and thank you for sharing. 💐💐🎹🎶
Fabulous ! One of my favourite pieces of music---not heard it as an organ solo before---works very well indeed. Thank you yet again for all the happiness you and your brother bring to this world.
This amazing piece on this new yet so classic organ played by one of the truly great master organists of all time in this amazing rebuilt church and brought to us by the artistry of a truly artistic videographer gives great solace on this Easter morning. He is risen and we are saved. Thank you Jonathan and Tom for bringing us this magnificent piece. Thanks to the congregation at the Church of the Ascension for appropriately resurrecting their church from the ashes.
Just wonderful! For me, watching this beautiful video in this beautiful reborn Church, in this wonderful organ and with an organist like you, makes me feel a lot of peace and joy! Happy Easter and may God bless you all!
Guess that I'm in agreement with all of the others when I say, this was lovely. So peaceful on such a special weekend. Thank you both for always delivering perfection. xx
What a beautiful piece of music from Vivaldi. I have never heard it before. I so enjoyed listening to it. Thank you Jonathan for it - played with such warmth and feeling. Such a beautiful Church - thank you Tom for showing us the Church as well. 🇿🇦🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This beautiful Vivaldi piece, played with Jonathan's wonderful touch, lingers long in the memory. I often find myself humming this now I've heard him play it. That lovely new organ has such a sweet sound, it really is delightful. I shall enjoy playing this video often. Thank you both for this Easter gift & happy Easter to you all. xxxx
Impressive!!! Not only do you have to have to know the right keys on the keyboard but also the correct foot pedals. I don't know a thing about playing the Organ 🎉 .
A truly beautiful performance by one of the UK's most pre-eminent and talented concert organists! In addition to which, this brand new (and 'aesthetically' pleasing) instrument is a true credit to organ builders, Henry Groves & Son! I really hope that we hear more from Jonathan on this fine instrument!
As a graduate of Salford University (many years ago) I wish I could recall seeing or visiting The Church of the Ascension, Lower Broughton - which, sadly, I can't! Thank you (and Tom) for recording and uploading this video!
Hey Tom, I see you're trying new things. It is exiting. What about from time to time show score... followe by moving cue... just thinking. You do awesome. Recording is excelsus.
Hi Paul, yes the letters after some of the stops refer to that unit, so rank D (73 notes) is the Great Trumpet 8ft, but you will see it can also be played on the Choir at 8ft and on the Pedal at 16ft & 8ft, making it far more versatile. Although there are 52 speaking stops there are only 32 ranks of pipes. (still a decent sized organ) Similarly the Great Cornet is actually made up from 5 individual Choir stops. Best Jonathan (Henry Groves)
Alleluia.
Thankyou so much . I was searching to hear the Music alone and found it here. I just wanted to enjoy it played alone. Thanks again. John (Australia)

Do you have plan to visit Vienna?
I am a fan from Taiwan and expect you can arrange to play BWV1052 thanks.
Nicely done. A piece of info, please. There are a number of stops with letters after them. Are they unit stops? I’ve never seen this before.

@@JonathanWallace-f6f I suspected as much and am glad to have the information confirmed. Thanks
