The scan tool is a must have for anything beyond an oil change. Current Kingbolen K7 price is $349 with a $25 coupon = $324. Not bad for a highly functional scan tool like the K7. The cheapest of the good stuff (scanners) seems to be in the $350 ish range. But if that saves you a couple of trips into the dealer for repairs that the homeowner can do at home that scan tool just paid for itself. Like you I've bought job specific gadgets like TPMS programming. The cost of these (one job) gadgets adds up pretty fast.
Excellent scan tool. Had it for a while now. Really impressed with the speed and the tool is awesome. For the price. It's a mid level scan tool but does alot
I would assume you can use this without having to update it after you free updates run out, just not getting any future updates? Or do you have to purchase the $100 a year update package to even use it?
Hi, can you do an Idle Relearn please, I've got the same K7, and my car doesnt' keep idle rpm at start engine in summer when engine is already hot. Thanks
We buy cars at Auction that normally do not have keys. Can this tool help in any way to reprogram aftermarket keys and key fobs when we are without the original Master Key and is this tool able to reprogram an aftermarket key and key fob to that particular ECM and Immobilizer that's already in the vehicle that we bought at auction so the car can be resold? Buying cars at auction only to part them out is a PITA.
Hi. I have s 2005 Honda S2000 and got an extra S2000 oem ECU (2004) for cheap. I am planning to keep it as a back up ECU. Issue is the new ECU will need to be programmed to work with my current keys. Can this unit program my existing keys if I swap the spare ECU in?
Enjoyed the video. Keep them coming. I just bought the k7.
