I was playing the invasion "The weak, the bad, the fat and the slippery". As the final attack was heating up with the enemy swordsmen and pikemen nearing the inner wall, 7:22 started playing. Since battles don't usually last that long you rarely get to that point of the track, so I had forgotten about it. When the solo voice started singing separately from the choir I thought it was a special event signaling the seriousness of the situation. Not only was I being attacked by the wolf, I also had to fight an internal enemy: logistics. As the map has no fertile land, all I had were dairy farms and during the attack the case would often be that "The granary is empty my lord...". Spare goods to sell for buying food such as iron and pitch had also run out as had money. As a result I had to perform the ultimate sacrifice, the double edged sword of lighting my very farms that were surrounded by pitch, hoping to achieve a quick victory or else defeat was imminent. It was all a uniquely engrossing experience with this part of the music playing especially after all the buildup. To conclude, I find the way the composer chose to end this battle track very clever, as few battles will last long enough for the last part to be heard, so when it does it mostly comes after a long struggle, usually coinciding with dire situations which it absolutely successfully expresses. Sorry for the long text, I found it a very interesting experience and wanted to share it.
It does have this epic last stand feeling to it. I have many memories of it playing when the enemy got through the final wall and started charging the stronghold.

I'm more a fan of space RTS but holy hell, this OST just destroys my eternity: it's unreal beautiful and brutal! Every beat of it shouts: WAR! WAR! only WAR!
This song always stuck out to me in these games. I think just cause it fits a siege assault well where its coming down to weither you can maintain the assault to carry the day or the momentum lost to the defenders.
