And then in campaign you can choose to set them free for improved relationships, see if their King will pay for their freedom to boost your own economy, or make clear to your foe that your only goal is their total destruction.
@Calaca Roja funny story in one of my England gameplays. I defeated a huge french army led by their king and heir. I captured the king and killed the heir. Afterwards I ransomed him but unfortunately France didn't pay up so I ended up killing the king which in turn destroyed France because there was nobody left to take the throne so I destroyed France and won my campaign 😅
@@MrAwsomenoobA similar thing happened, I had conquered France and Milan, and was now fighting in Spain. In a battle, I killed the spanish king and executed those that were captured, resulting in the destruction of the spanish army.
last third of this music is quite different than the beginning, like changing atmosphere midway. It starts with percussion (tambourine i think) and ends with orchestral song. Man!!! What an amazing soundtrack...
“ My Lord, half the enemy force remains. If we continue like this we will be victorious! “
"Only half the enemy force remains! If we continue like this, we will smash the enemy!"
Surprise cavalry charge time!!!! >:)
Such a pessimistic way kf putting it. How about "half of the enemy forces have been destroyed"? Sounds much better
"The enemy General flees, like the COWARD he is!"
It is unwise to praise victory before sunset... BUT! Our men are winning the battle, and FooOorgin a worthy victory!!
When you rout much bigger infantry army with your cav, and when flute comes in you are just pursuing the survivors like in some kind of slaughterfest.
You mean like Braveheart’s Battle of Stirling?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
Vocals comes in when your militia barely stands under pressure and you save them with cav charge to the reer of enemy inf
Eh, happens

"My lord! We have breached the enemies wall! If we remain true and steadfast, victory will be ours!"
The lord above is kind! We have captured the enemy general! Guard him well, give the dog some wine, and let him see us defeat the rest of his army!
You can capture the enemy general? Never noticed it, lol
@@CalacaRoja Yes if he routs and you chase his unit.

Duke of Death must be a nasty fella
Nope, he just loves his maid.
2:38 *sick flute solo* 💀💀💀💀
Unironically one of the best parts of the song imo💀
I imagine it as a really buff dude playing the flute with flames bursting from the instrument
500 instruments playing with flute in foreground = *sick flute solo*
Ay it really is sick though

It has it all. Truly a special piece. Very fitting in every battle.
My favoriiiite battle bgm
Definitely one of the greatest tracks
load the catapults, Infantry form up to advance, ARCHERS READY!!! DRAW!! FIREEEEEEE
im sorry but archers do not "fire"
@@MrDube2005 the "fire" command came after the muskets were invented. Before that they used to say "loose"
Infantry, charge!
"Our general flees! This is no way for a imperial officer to act!! 😡"
"GENDARMES !!!"
Sacre bleu ! L ennemie a enfoncer nos portes
I prefer old total war games (Shogun ,Rome, Medieval I-II) to the new ones because they have the most thrilling songs.
Back when i did not have a powerful enough pc for medieval 2 this pic was both desktop and screensaver.
cavery change!!
Cavalry*
DEUS VOLT
Persian cataphracs
Incoming horn noises

Trully epic song from M2TW.
If we got a medieval 3 here are the factions
England
France
Spain
Portuguel
Holy Roman empire
Arabs
Ottomans
Inda
China
Japan
Aztec
"Portuguel"? only know Portugal
Half of those factions will be DLC like nuTW. Don't hope for Med3. Preserve what you already have...
sitll just know only Portugal not Portuguel@@addochandra4745
"Duck of death I says."
Our men have capture the emeny walls strike them 💀
Will be good for Kislev battle music.
Its amazing when you only train up the biggest archer batalion ever HAHAHA!
Has Rome 1 vibes
