This is my OPINION BY THE WAY! DONT GET BUTT HURT...Anyways If your new to mortal kombat, here are my list of the 5 hardest characters to play! I chose these based on how effective they can be based on the tools they offer. Others are the execution and gameplay they have. Some are restricted because of the terrible tools they have which makes them difficult to use and win with. These characters are the ones I would not recommend a new player joining Mortak Kombat 11. - Let me know you think are the most difficult characters for you!

As a Fujin main, you are absolutely correct about having to put tons of hours into him to be good lol. To anyone who is discouraged by how difficult Fujin is to play: HE IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE EFFORT!!! He is such a fun character to play and once you get to be effective with him, the game will never get old!
Ye ye, fujin is really hard to play coz he is so unsafe, but just on paper. In fact u can’t punish any shit if he played correctly, and he fuck neutral so much that average opponent can even move and lose all initiative.

He's my favourite character. Got the game recently and I'm currently learning to play him. Just practicing combos with tornado now, the timing is so bloody hard but this morning I actually managed to get it right 4 times in a row. Slowly getting better.
....I need someone to teach me Fujin then. I know how to play 7 other characters (not including Fujin) and I just can’t fucking do it

As a kollector main from the start, I can somewhat agree with this placement here. I picked him up rather fast but it took me a while to get good with him in KL
I started off with Skarlet, but Kollector stuck to me for having easy execution combos but unfortunately some of his strings can leave you open. That’s why it takes a lot of effort using him in KL. But despite all that, he became one of my favorite new characters in MK.

As a noob who just started mk11 and only knows how to play one character and that character being Fujin, this list just makes me want to master him now.
Skarlet just need Blood Splatter to launch properly.
And her parry to start up slightly quicker,

Yeah, the gaps are a problem... but I think that was the original intention of having Clot and Parry... I really don’t get how Blood Clot is banned, while Jaqui, Kabal, Erron and Kotal are aloud their fucked up tools.

At the casual level, skarlet is top tier. She has great staggers and if you use boiling point, you get better damage (270 off of her main mid). She greatly benefits from kustoms. Also Fujins movement is what makes him top tier, it's tougher after mk ultimate, but you can backdash a blocked d1 and get a whiff punish. And learning to wave dash with him let's him play neutral really well.
I disagree on Kollector before when Sonic was playing him.. lol
Been a Dvorah main since release, she’s now a pretty decent character with customs but she still needs a few fixes and it feels like she just gets pushed aside because nobody plays her

This is funny bc I main Sindel and my husband's main is Kollector.
I find Sindel a breeze...but I have been playing since OG Mortal Monday....so I'm not a new player. I also love playing D'Vorah.
As a scarlet main i think people who start with scarlet should memorize and study her she needs barely timing but she’s a bit slow but if you know what moves are perfect then you’re ready
She's s tier in my eyes
I’m picking up the game and it’s like my 3rd day. My mains are kabal and skarlet but skarlet would be my ultimate main. Whenever I need to sweat on online I bring her out. Absolutely love playing with her. Practiced a ton of towers

Let me try to clarify some of these picks, cause there are some confusion behind these. Like I said in the video, not all these are based on execution alone. Some characters like Skarlet and Shao Kahn are the type that are EASY to execute combos, but struggles in having their gameplan going. Due to how their best attacks have huge weakness. ROBOCOP, is easy cause you can zone, but how well can do if your opponent have counter zoning? Robocop is just a zoner so after being shut down in zoning, what do you have left? Pros knows he is bottom tier, hence making it difficult to play..
@Kale Dog Productions I would not say that Shao Kahn is really slow In my opinion Shao Kahn has the perfect speed and Kotal Kahn is really slow

and look at johnny cage's daughter, and also, jackson, daughter. both of these to work week may be because i did not know the game yet, or maybe i'm just a total nobody who doesn't know how to play this game.

In the 2 years I’ve played KL, I’ve only seen Kollector like 3 times.
@@MadDoggGames I've seen him at least 30 times since release and when they pick him, they usually know what they are doing. At most, 70 times total.
@@ChainsawRambo well the region I am in most likely no one ever uses him. And never seen him in any tournaments except for 1. No one talks about or his gameplay. So to me, he really is forgotten

Fujin's damage is definitely worth the execution, 29 percent for 1 bar and you can make yourself safe if they block

Kitana took me the most to learn and learn to stay away and fight from a distance
Lol when I first joined the MK community back in X, I absolutely sucked with Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Subzero, and all the “beginners.” The character I started doing well with was D’Vorah. I enjoyed playing her in the story mode, so I took her out for practice and mastered her.
Going into MK11, I still can’t play very well with anyone else. D’Vorah may not play identical to her X version, but I am familiar with her. She’s my main.
Because of that, it hurts to always see her as “non beginner” friendly because she is the first character I ever got to play well in both X and 11.
She definitely require a lot or more technical when learning her. Something I don’t recommend when trying to learn fundamental. This does not mean it will be hard for everyone. It’s good you did, but rare. I also don’t use these traditional ones. I like rushdown characters

Dvorah has been my main since day 1, I agree with everythin you said bout her, I struggle a lot and have to think a lot when it comes with the set ups.
When I started Playing Kitana for the first time I thought she was gonna be easy but that a no 😂 but she is my main and I love that booty clap krushing blow

I main Kano and Baraka specifically because they are easy (and fun) to play; Baraka especially is simple, straightforward, and capable of huge damage without the need for long, complex combos. (they're also two of my favorite characters in the entire series)

I'm new to MK11, and Mk11 Ultimate. I started off learning Mileena, Joker, Frost, and finally settled on Kollector I think as my main. I've absolutely had a blast learning and playing with him. Since learning him and unlocking all his gear, I've also been trying out others like Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Noob. But still I keep going back to Kollector. Yeah he's unsafe alot on block but damn is he slick looking when hes beating your ass.
Edit: My go to Custom Variation with Kollector is Demonic Clutch and Relic lure. Great combo potential with Lure.
demonic clutch is great but with relic lure you'll find yourself getting zoned out with no options I would make a variation with relic lure and fade out, personally I have demonic clutch with variations that are combined with a zoning tool or fadeout
Its strange, but when I got mk11 I first pick Fujin, and play with him online with fair success, learned combos etc. I noticed that not even once I played against him in online matches, and now I know why :)

I love playing Fujin and Kollector, both are great. I main Fujin and can 100% say if you put the time in to lab him and understand spacing in MK11, he's one of the best but hardest characters in the game
I use kollector as a side pick in tournaments and I totally agree with you most of his moves can be flawless blocked, but you can catch people with forward 3 then war quoit toss (since forward 3 has so much damn stagger) the only issue with this is that you will have to commit and risk being punished. I really think kollector deserves a buff to cause some traffic to the character
For me I definitely find d'vorah the hardest. Kotal main 😀
As a Fujin main, yeah you're correct. What makes Fujin a hard character isn't his high execution, but the fact he's very very unsafe and he has many flowless blocked gaps. So you need to work hard to not be punished.
But he's such a fun character to play. 💨💨

I’ve been playing D’vorah for a LONG time, probably my best KL fighter
I play kollector since the start, and what makes me play him the most is his Relic Lure. If used correctly you destroy every escape and fatal blow. And I think the Vial ability is good to damage zoners

Kollector is very slept on. High damage, Great neutral, has a teleport and command grab etc. Just needs really strong spacing and footsie i think.
I’ve been a shao Kahn main for about a year now and he’s really fun for me. Especially in kombat league I rack up wins with him and usually hit grandmaster. Honestly you guys should try him out if you’re skeptical.

I agree and disagree with Kano. A lot of his moves have somewhat slow startups but he does have some quick ones too. If you get his move set down you can add a lot of pressure and keep your opponents on their toes
I was thinking Rain and Rambo. When I started, it took me a long while to learn Rain's optimal combos, not to mention Rain has a similar level of execution as Fujin. Rambo is a character who I am not 100% sure on how is he supposed to be used. It didn't take me long to learn his mixups and combos I can do with his snare trap and command grabs, but I think his set ups in my opinion is what makes Rambo shine the most and not just his rushdown and mixups, and I don't know 100% how are you supposed to use his setups, specifically that claymore. Also, I think Rambo lacks in pressure tools. There is almost no way to make some punishable strings like his meterless launcher safe, but at least he has a couple of safe strings. Basically Rambo is about high risk-high reward, and Rain is about high execution.

I always have trouble with errons black combos, especially after the gun pop up, when trying to cancel it
I have the same issue. Not sure why when I do the combo offline fine, the lag makes it harder even if it’s minimal. They should increase the execution window
@@MadDoggGames I think you should just get better dude. If you played mkx you could cancel easily seeing as how scorpions fireball is way harder. I love how you blame the lag because you suck at cancels
@@polar9691 are you serious. Dude I have played MKX and mastered cancels. Run cancel mechanic was my all time favorite mechanic as I was able to do it no problem. Johnny Cage A list was my go to. Thunder God Raiden Cancel and Scorpion fire ball cancels we’re easy. I got proof and plenty of guides covering those variations. The thing about this game is that there window are much smaller and putting into account how laggy and many wifi warriors are in combat league, it’s difficult making that quick frame cancels. Certain attack like Erron includes dial ins which makes it much more difficult. If your talking about normal cancels I can do Johnny Cage fatal blow cancels fine, but errors dial in strings/cancels is much more difficult. For some reason they online input delay+wifi spikes changes the game completely. Pros have notice this as well, not just me how it can be hard cancelling certain attacks...

Hardest to get good with imo is frost with her bombs. It’s taken so much patience to get good with it and even then it’s such an up hill battle lmao

Huh. I've been a Kollector Main since day one of playing, and I knew he was hard to play, but I thought that was because MK11 was my first MK game. Explains a lot.
I started playing a few months ago and I was terrible until I played shoa khan and he was the bridge I needed to really understand the game. So I agree he's kinda hard to mix up cuz he's kinda lacking but me and the true Khan really "Klicked." I believe alot of it really comes down to play style btw kollector was my second character I really understood.
I just learned all the hard kombos for sindel:)

Skarlet is one of the only characters that can special cancel even after being flawless blocked. so if you are flawless blocked just cancel into something. only the up3 punish will be your counter and that doesn't lead to much

I play jax and skarlet,love both. With training you will go well with anybody. I use her because i like how she looks,but no just that. But her style,how she hits,the cool blood things,and man... blood power,that’s extremely cool haha
I'm a Skarlet main and shes not really hard for me at least like I can get 10 hit combo, buts it's a little difficult, but I still love it.
I kinda started as a kollector (and noob) Main and I have to say one thing: Although he doesnt seem that good, he can be pretty dangerous. Almost no one knows what Kollector is capable off and so underestimate him a lot. Of course his mix ups arent the best but still he is a lot of fun. I mean SonicFox is a god, but still he showed that even against better players he may have a chance.

1,2,3,4= are hight attacks.
While the most of MK characters have...
1,2,4= are hight / 3= is a mid.
Also, it's Better to fix that animation, because the last hit of (f,2,2,4) is the same thing as 3.

I main skarlet and honestly it just hurts getting outzoned. I usually try to bait out attacks for whiff punishing and I heavily abuse b 4 and b 2 but if the opponent can react to that it's over for me lol
As a Shao Kahn main since start uhhhhh yes they just need to give him a 7 frame jab like everyone else and make it so his best combo openers don't have flawless block gaps. So annoying
I’ve never played fighting games but recently cod warzone being a broken game has made me question my gaming choices. So I’ve picked up MK11 and I really like erron black, but I CANNOT get his BF4 to work for me ever. I’ll do simple strings into it and he’s just like “yea I’m not pulling my gun off my back...”
Honestly I think Spawn and Rain should have make the list. Spawn needs perfect timing to execute his combos and once he is trapped in a corner, he's done for. Rain has somewhat complex combos for a noob to pull off.

Hes pretty easy to play normally and you will do good damage but his advanced aerial combos are really hard

He's far from the worst. Yes his ability to confirm combos can be pretty difficult to do (not like he has any combos to begin with anyways), but what really matters is the utility and buttons a character has. He has good mids and decent buttons, mid projectile with stupid chip damage, mid command grab that does a shit ton of damage, flamethrower mixup, and that fucking rifle that has a ton of push back when amplified. RoboCop is far from the worst.
Being a Sindel main on Nintendo Switch, she’s not hard at all. Using Hair Kut and Whip N Flip is amazing. The setups and combos are insane with her.
