I like that they give a description of the different ride settings. Usually when you change a setting like that, you have to try and guess what it modified.
Dodge has definitely figured out the American Muscle product lineup. Ford and GM have their specific niche models, but Dodge is performing this across the entire spectrum of their models. Great review Steve!
The technology, drive train, Front and rear design as well as interior materials and the ex Mercedes-Benz engineers Jeep and dodge recruited in 2011 put quite a bit into the 2015 redesign even though it looks similar to the 2011 it’s completely different
Let's talk about Dodge Dirty Little Secret with these Durango's these race track rear tail lights that are prone to burnout when moisture or water builds up inside the lens! I started seeing other Durango's with the lower portion of the middle racetrack LEDs burnt out and I thought to myself wow that's ugly at night time! And not long after mine's did the same and I was told once you're out of warranty it's on you and they told me $1,100 to replace that middle section because the backup camera is made into it! You go on the Durango forums and you see lots of customers complaining but so far FCA says sorry 🤬
Even with stock tires it handles way better then you would expect. I say its better than my friends 2007 RT. I drive my SRT Challenger with snow tires when the weather gets below 40 but the SRT Durango is for when snow starts to come down. I live in the PNW so snow is a once in a few years thing here in the low lands. Up in the mountains however its SRT Durango all the way.
Yes but no. The last charger redesign was 2015. It included some new engines, a new transmission, new front and rear fascia and new interior. I get what you're saying but when you consider that it's not nearly as out of the ordinary as pretending it hasn't been touched since 2011. Also the challenger is "newer" than the charger in it's return and was also dramatically updated in 2015. Ita a good point though, Dodge knows what their customers want so they give a ton of options
I love this green with the brass monkey rims, but wish they would put a dual panel sunroof in and move air controllers to back of center counsel i would buy one today and i work for the competition shoo don't tell my boss lol
I wonder how many Durango SRTs are actually sold yearly How many people need, or want, a 3-row family hauler with this kind of power and fury? Probably not many at all I don't see why they made it, but I'm glad that they did
Lots of people want it. Nobody needs it and a they sell as many as they make (which isn't a ton) I've seen a half-dozen srt Durangos around my office which is genuinely surprising, but I live in florida where we've all got disposable income so maybe that skews it
VanquishedAgain are you sure because the cruiser comes loaded. Basically no options. On the other hand the Dodge has a lower base and the dealer might be a little more flexible. I think their close enough that price won’t really drive the decision; like you said it’s what you want and they both make a strong but very different case.
@@mfmf100 yes. The durango srt is 66k with rebates right now, 74k without. And that's fully loaded The land cruiser is 90k comparably equipped. Remove the dumb rear seat entertainment from both and you'll save $2k from both.
I wish FCA would’ve used the 8 speed in their products rather than that terrible 9 speed I had driven a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland and it felt sluggish it doesn’t matter which engine you choose the 9 speed is very bad my grandmothers 2016 T&C limited can beat that thing
I don’t think you had all your ducks in a row on this video. Charger’s last redesign was 2015 with more recent “facelifts”. And as far as the Durango the last redesign was 2014. So, about every 5-6 years.
LOOK at that FREAKIN GREEN 🤩
That green works way better than I expected on that thing. Damn
I've always liked the Durango SRT, but that metallic green makes it look amazing!
It's amazing how you can add such power and refinement to aging platform astounding!!!!
I like that they give a description of the different ride settings. Usually when you change a setting like that, you have to try and guess what it modified.
Same! Excellent idea.
The R/T is a great buy too 🤙🏼
Probably Dodge's best product available. And it's a badass SUV!
lol typical mustang guy, under appreciating the hellcat, and hellcat redeye...smh
ChiefKeefSosa bruh what?
I love how FCA is still catering to enthusiasts. $65k is a bargain for this. uconnect is just icing on the cake.
They should put the 12 inch uconnect system in this!
and I believe they did ... or sort of ... 10 inch I believe but it’s newly designed
Love that color. Think I'll paint my Infiniti m56 this color.

sadly i thought they had stop making these. thanx for the review.
What a car! What a description! Steve Hammes! Keep making great videos, i love them.
Thanks! Will do!
Hey Steve Good Stuff! Love that NEW COLOR. It really is nice.
The technology, drive train, Front and rear design as well as interior materials and the ex Mercedes-Benz engineers Jeep and dodge recruited in 2011 put quite a bit into the 2015 redesign even though it looks similar to the 2011 it’s completely different
Great review Steve! I want this SUV so bad (or a Jeep GC)!!!!!
Me, too!
In that color, the durango is the best looking suv
Another great video. Love the Helly Hansen gear!
Ha!! Wish they would sponsor me...but they never return my messages ;-)
I love my SRT Durango
That green is really nice!
More power baby!
797?
Now we're talking 🇺🇲 merica
buying you next year Durango!
Love these SUVS. Great review.

Cababy 12 sounds like a court case
California? I have a garage .
Prices on cars go up and our salaries stays ther same :/
Nice. Needs different mufflers though. I wonder if there are any computer tunes available.
I have a 99 Dodge Durango SLT yes the gas mileage sucks but it's worth it and it has over 185,700 miles on it and still runs like a champ
I’m in love
I wonder how would this SUV handle in winter weather..
You might need winter rubber with this one.
Even with stock tires it handles way better then you would expect. I say its better than my friends 2007 RT. I live in the PNW so snow is a once in a few years thing here in the low lands. Up in the mountains however its SRT Durango all the way.
This one had the standard all-season tires and there is a snow mode.

Sure is cool.
Want to split one? ;-)
If I ever need to get the stink outta Dodge and take a road trip to Hell, CO, this green Durango would be my ride of choice
Ha!!!
Green goblin? Spiderman?
Underrated truck. I’d still prefer a land cruiser but probably shouldn’t.
Depends what you're looking for. Land cruiser is much more money but more reliable and with better resale. Obviously it's much slower too
VanquishedAgain I think the prices are pretty close, but besides that and that they’re both Truck, they’re more different than similar.
@@mfmf100 well the srt is about 15k less than a land cruiser comparably equipped

Oh great, someone is going to put a car seat in the drivers seat & see how fast a baby can go 0-60!
Don't sue!!! ;-)
F8 = F - eight or F -“ate” - Fate Hell Green.
Imma have mine soon 11:11
They just cost too much. If I didn't have to pay taxes, mortgage, and food, I would be all over it!
We all have to eat...
jay b they do 👀awaiting that soccer mom to sell so I can grab second hand
Only 18 of these made for USA market.. lfg!!
best family car lol
For families that live in the fast lane 😉
Haven't experienced a 4.4 sec yet best I've seen is 4.7-5.2
Mt first test got me a 4.2. th-cam.com/video/XfbhzRlcREw/w-d-xo.html
I’ve seen 4.1

No no no don't give them credit for putting a new good motor in a old ass platform ... If they heard that they're never redesign it 🤣🤣🤣
Napster!?
I’ll take it over the Jeep SRT
Lmao power is the only thing dodge does best
Never get factory screens. Those already look dated.
Uhhh.. Uconnect is widely considered one of the best if not the best infotainment system on the market
MOPAR 401 talking about the optional ones for the backseat passengers, not the dash infotainment system.
Imagine. Demon + durango = ? Lol
Made for a women. And man over 6 ft would be jammed in there
I destroyed 2 of these, with ease, in my X5M.
ya id smoke u in my hellcat
Cheap plastic all over the vehicle
