And that, my friends, is the Caitlin Clark effect. Folks all over the country come to see CC and some decide, hey some of these girls can play and come back for a second look at the home team. It's then up to the local ladies to hold the new fan's interest. Otherwise they go back to watching the Fever on TV.

Did he say that she pasted the Pistol's college scoring record? Technically, she did, but he averaged 44.2 ppg for 3 seasons, freshman could not play back then. she had 4. But here is the important thing, there was no 3 point shot!. A local journalist reviewed every one of Pete's score sheets, and estimated, if there was a 3 point line, his average would have been closer to 60 ppg!! I'll give her, her props, she is awesome and just what the WNBA needs. If the Pistol played 4 seasons with a 3 point line.....enough said.

I don't know the league well. But Mitchell played HS basketball in my neck of the woods, and she was dynamite there and at OSU. I'm surprised that she and Clark are not a better back court duo. I'd think that they'd drive teams nuts. Indiana's weakness seems to be in its front court. That center with the long hair just rumbles and bumbles up and down the court.

    Caitlin Clark
Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level.
    .
One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody!
    .
Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it.
    .
Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

The one thing she doesn't have that a lot of greats have is the ability to use size to get her shots off. MJ, Lebron, Kobe, when all else failed, they could kinda back someone down and then fade away over top of defenders to get a shot. Caitlin isn't that big, so she has to work super hard to get shots up if the other team decides they want to make it their life goal to prevent that
