i want to ask one thing: I have different pictures of samples of different sizes or maybe different resolutions. how can I analyze the percentage of dye degradation? I am following the same way as yours but not working.

Can I ask why you have chosen to only keep the red channel?

I think it makes the final image easier to see for their research purpose.
