Bought this last year, but just applied it this past weekend, and cannot stress the words you've said already...TAKE YOUR TIME APPLYING. You are 100% correct, and I've reached out to dbrand because I was worried using a hair dryer might ruin the leather, but they've assured it's fine. You actually have to because of how much thicker it is compared to their regular skins. Def follow the video instructions they have on their site, made the mistake of trying to apply without hair dryer and it was a nightmare trying to get the curved edges/corners down. Redoing it now, with the microfiber included and it's so much better.
2 weeks in using it on my Pixel 8 and absolutely love the feel of it. Does not feel like im holding on to cheap plastic. Hands down the best skin for your phone. I decided to buy it since the pixel phones are already so thicc and I didn't really want to bulk it up by using a grip case.
Thanks for this synopsis. Thinking of getting a tan leather Dbrand skin on a "Pink Gold" Galaxy S22+. The metal chassis is just regular gold, and that tan leather would be a beautiful compliment.
Great video! First time ever putting on a skin here. Turned out to be a super easy process and, you're right, to make the edges as flush as possible I really had to give those corners a good ol rub down! Lol 🤣😅
They’re actually no longer available as it was a 1-month limited drop. They do have a page people can request them to do another drop, and if enough people do so they might oblige

@@ZAKsTechLife i havnt seen case skins for it that didnt also come with the case. I also bought a case with Teardown skin before but now i want the leather skin for it. could get the skin for it but then id have to cut the leather down a bit more for the case. and id rather not do that.
Are you still rocking the leather skin? how is it holding up? They just released them again and I am debating on getting that or keeping my carbon fibre case.
@@NippleSauce nah I know it was in stock for a while but I chose the carbon over the leather I didn't know the leather was actually this good. And I applied it so I'ma wait till it's wearing off then I'll get the leather or if this grey lasts till the P7 I might just get it for that one instead
@@SuperUnknownKIDS haha, I did the same thing with the red Icons skin. I ripped it off after having it applied for like one week after seeing how nice the leather skin felt. I feel like the other skins are quite slippery when compared to the leather one.
Thanks for telling us about the process. Was really looking to get these, but after hearing how long the process can take, I'll pass. I'm lazy, lol. Although the leather skins are absolutely beautiful.
wow! very nice leather skin wrap but the only thing I donk't like it since my phone is IP67 I wash my phone sometimes. With leather skin you may not wash.
You really should. Otherwise the adhesive on the skin won't properly adhere to your phone. Think of it like hot glue (although it's not). Plus the heat will help the skin properly wrap around and form to the device.
The worst dbrand product, usually they are good , this particular one its crap , not a joke , s22 black natural leater has got the worst adhesive ever, I can't keep it on the phone , for 3 days was perfect and after it's started to pile off....

Applied like any other dbrand skin, but with extra heat and time. dbrand's tutorial/how-to is the best reference.
I grabbed the Grip case at a Goodwill in the box for $2. Now I'm on the hunt for a skin for it.

dbrand has a cream you can buy now to treat and condition it.
It should be great If there is some bumper case to go along with these skins. Dropping the phone corner-first to any floor still haunts me.
