Clear explanation TY. Question, is there a specific sequence on how to blead the nitrogen out of the system before removing the air shock? Also, do you know if the guy on FB still has the new air shocks for sale?
I have a squeak over bumps so I want to replace my sway bar bushings. Your video was helpful for that, but do you know the torque spec for the metal plate bolts that needs to be lowered?
@tomorrowstek I've watched this video several times and dug through the links and CANNOT find where you bought the Upper and Lower Control arms and air bags. Could you please repost the link? LOVE my 2011 and can't wait for the creaking to stop when I drive! Thank you in advance-
I’m looking to do the same thing on mine. Minus the airbags and brakes. This was very helpful. I need to order some of the special tools you needed. FYI as soon as I saw you were going to do the work in your driveway I was like his HOA has to be crazy cool but you answered that question 😅
yea man lol there is always that one guy who is going to make a fuss about it. thanks for your support. and good luck on your rebuild. totally worth it.
hello and thank you for your video it helped me a lot however I wondered how did you manage to re-inflate the suspensions after replacing them please? because I know that the compressor only adds air and not total reinflation. Have you been to a Porsche center? THANKS👍🏻
A nice video did your Porsche gave you a on the dash chassis failure system before changing the upper control arm bottom control I have a problem with mine is a 2010 it has a clunking sound when you hit some pot holes so I feel it might be the upper control all the bottom control can it be what you put in car can you please let me know thank you for the video I was thinking of changing the upper control arm or any of the bushings
Mine gave me the failure after I first did the replacement, after I took it for alignment it all went away. I replaced everything shocks control arms and swing arm bushings
Thank you for video. Do I need to remove the shock to change the upper control arm? Porsche has designed this car well to work on :) My upper control arm is toast. So I need to replace this weekend. If I have to remove the shock then it's a bit more work than I was expecting...
Yes, need to remove shock for upper arm. It was my lower control arm that was stuffed... Upper doesn't see too much of the punishment but that lower seems to turn out sad a lot of the time.
How can I reach you? one of the guys on one of the panamera facebook groups actually has a brand new set of air shocks he is willing to let go very cheap.
@@TomorrowsTek I don’t need parts at the moment but just wanted to know the cost / fair price and locations to buy them. Can I joint that Facebook group

Yes Sir, I hate things not being complete. when i purchased this it has lower radiator damage where some one had it to low. I had to replace the radiator and the metal frame cover that you take off to get the oil changed. I now need to replace that as it was missing.
Once again, you're reading my mind! I need to replace the lower control arm on my right front. It doesn't look that difficult, arguably. Great job! How hard was it to paint your calipers?
So, the swing arm bushings come in two halves? Simply pull the old ones out and insert the new ones? Sadly, I do not have a furry assistant. I can borrow one if it helps the job go better??
@David.-_- yes and very important to also have the psam in the mode you drive in the most before alignment as it will change alignment in each mode causing premature tire ware
Hey my friend I just curious when you did the front end at least the air shocks did you have to disconnect the battery just to take off the I'm just doing the right side front air shock
I want to ask you one more thing because I'm thinking of changing my Air shock because it's leaking from the top did you have to put nitrogen in those shocks when you put the new ones or can you just put the shock and let air come in from the compressor
@@TomorrowsTek hey t I appreciate you responding back to me I was just worried cuz there's a lot of issues with these shocks these cars are very sensitive and a lot of people don't want to work on it I had someone in the shop said that it needed nitrogen as replacement of new shocks thank you appreciated 👍
Did upper and lower control arms tie rod and still hearing a slight rattle on the passenger side..im thinking it’s prob the swing arm.. I had noo idea it was so eazy to replace..great video btw I’m jealous of your good weather 😢
yea man that swing arm bushing was pretty easy. it would be easy to probably get to without tearing all the other stuff down also. I did the video back a few months ago, Just have been really swamped at work and this one needed quite a bit of editing and I lost some of the footage :) Thanks for your support and kind words.
Did the upper control arms a couple weeks back and still getting some creaking over speed bumps. Wishing I had just done it all while I was in there. Good to see how easy the lower and sway bushings were. At least I have the hard part out of the way. How did you like the caliper paint? Thinking of doing that for my Audi. Thanks for the video!
Only if you replace the level sensors. I just used the plastic parts that broke instead of replacing the whole units. I only recently got a piwis iii so I can and will do a video on how to do it in the near future
@@TomorrowsTek how did you fill your air suspension with air (air compressor?) what attachments ? I just did this job and i am unable to get it to air the car back up because of lack of ai. So the car is slammed so I put it back on jacks until i can air the system back up. Any help would be great thanks!
I actually replaced the front lens. while i had them off i did the morimoto led upgrade, then I plasti dipped the inner housings black before installing the new outer lens. no tint it just looks like it with the housing black.

How did you air the suspension back up?
Great video. I'm just purchased a 2011 Panny and am looking for self-help videos and this is a great one! Thanks
Thank you for your support. Let me know if you have any special requests and I will try my best to accommodate.
Any video of putting it on the jack stands?
Clear explanation TY. Question, is there a specific sequence on how to blead the nitrogen out of the system before removing the air shock? Also, do you know if the guy on FB still has the new air shocks for sale?
Why did the control arms get replaced instead of just bushings replaced?
I don't have a press in my garage, and the control arm kits with bushings pre installed were not bad priced
I have a squeak over bumps so I want to replace my sway bar bushings. Your video was helpful for that, but do you know the torque spec for the metal plate bolts that needs to be lowered?
I cant remember right off the top of my head. I was able to google the specs pretty easy online
That swing arm is actually the sway bar. My 2016 GTS is in need due to noisy front end. I’m looking for poly or solid rose joints
I wish I could have found a better quality joint as well. there were none at the time due to covid i guess.
Hello great video.. did you have to refill with nitrogen gas after changing the air shock
You should use nitrogen. I filled mine back with air.

Hey I also updated my stereo to the new 2024 version with built in apple car play. It’s 12.3 inches HD. Looks amazing. I’ll post a video of it soon.
did you pre load the suspension before upper control arm torque
