My son attended school from 8am to 4.45 everyday. Even in study week when they had no lessons they had to go in. The results definitely showed in the schools results. All of the students as well as the teachers put in 110% in everything. He attended an academy in London, they run the school with strict rules and discipline, although the kids complained at first, they all see the benefits now, most are returning for A-levels in sept.

you need more than GCSE's to go to uni, the next step would be A levels.

GCSEs don’t determine anything, I remember when we were the first year with new grading system and they would always put unnecessary pressure on us saying we are in competition with other students across the country and that good GCSE grades leads to a happy life and getting bad grades ruins our life, which is far from the truth.

I think this hardwork is total BS. This isn't the way to success in the UK. Boris showed us what is the right way of doing it.🦄 Look at him now, flying over the rainbow into the sunset.

I went back to college this year after a 13 year hiatus from studying with an Access to HE course and managed to get really good grades, now I start University this year studying paramedicine. Not everyone is suited to high school it just takes the right dedication and the correct input from teaching faculty, anything is possible.
