The Stich Defense Mod.2 also has the same soft armour coverage as the CPC. So your armpit actually has both the front plate and soft armour covering it.
@@tenarmurk osprey forgot which one has neck arm and chest and groin i think i put tier 5 pad and side pads and it has soft armor + pads soft armor tier 3 its about 110k on flea its just heavy
CPC Mod 1 is objectively better than the Banshee (more armor and coverage) and is practically free with Ref 3. They really need to turn Arena awards down, they're insane.
It's funny about this, because in my opinion, the THOR is actually the best Class 4 Armor, and it's cheap, because unlike other class 4 armors, it actually has class 3 soft armor behind the plates. The same is the issue with the Korund-V, as mentioned in the video. It's a Class 5 armor, but only has class 2 soft armor. It makes a big difference.
@@maloiik I would say that it varies. The reason you choose to run Tier 4 or 5 armor is to mitigate the chance that you will die to the first 2-3 shots from ammo that has an equal or slightly lesser penetration value than your armor. By having a higher tier soft armor, you are effectively increasing the chance that a round that does manage to penetrate, such as 7.62 PS, 5.45 PS and PP, and 5.56 SOST and M855 for Tier 4, will then be caught on your tier 3 soft armor due to the fact that they lost penetration power going through your plate. Even higher tier rounds such as 7.62 BP, 5.56 56A1 and 55A1, and 5.45 BP and BT will have a chance of being caught by that tier 3 armor because of the penetration loss. In the end, it's about the type of round that you are intending on mitigating, and anyone who says 'Oh, but 7.62x54 and 51 round go straight through tier 4', well, you didn't prepare to stop those rounds, so that's not even what you're even intending to mitigate.
@@KillerGamer180 that's a great explanation thanks for the details, it certainly makes sense. Now that i think so there's also some loss of pen from distant shots so that might also come into play sometimes
Absolutely loving the style, quality and charm of your videos, it conveys a lot of important information well while being very entertaining! Keep up the great work! 💖💖☺️☺️
You want tier 3 soft armor on front back and sides (optionally throat is very good aswell) with the highest durability soft armor and then put the best plates you can find
2x Thor trade from ragman, 1x peacekeeper lvl 5 armor trade, swap armor for one lvl 5 in front, and the lightest lvl 4 in the back. And you can buy side plates. Sell the rest.
Great video You might want to think about the class 5 at prapor 3 after completing reconnaissance. You can buy both class 5 front and back plates and a carrier for around 120 k
Currently doing a PVE playthrough and man do you need neck protection. I just ended up selling most rigs and primarily run Killa armor due to the level 3 neck and excellent mobility (I hate turn speed mods). I've actually found the Tactec you can craft to be excellent mobility wise and seems to protect me more than other rigs. Can't tell if it's just luck or actually good as it feels?
Who cares no point in playing anymore no point in questing just play arena till you have max traders and then theres nothing to do but play more arena. Tarkov lost its grit man
I mean max level traders isn't the end all be all of tarkov. It's actually just the bare minimum. But I do feel you, this wipe felt really easy mainly because they didn't reset my trader reps so all I had to do was level and spend cash to level then up
If you only play arena it’s gonna take you a minute to get all the xp compared to the later game task that give you a lot more, also you still need the rep to get them up which arena provides and task will unlock better ammo from traders that are going to be essential if you actually wanna kill geared players
yes arena help with some money and xp, but i think the fun of tarkov begin at max trader / level 42. its like WOW, POE .. getting max level is the beginning of fun and the beginning of the end game. In tarkov you can go for Lightkeeper Questline, and focus on some pvp in labs and lightouse and stop caring about cheaters or getting killed
Nicely put together, but this video feels like a very "survivorship bias" kind of video, where if you're literally only accounting for thorax shots and nothing else it's fine, but there's just so much else to consider. I've been running the Redut-m with custom plates at 12.4kilo, and I have a 70% survival rate this wipe. I'm still just one person, but the T3 protection on the important bits has saved me from so much nonsense to where i'll never go back.
I think there’s an argument to be made that armor that covers mostly thorax is actually better, because other body parts don’t whittle down your armor durability, which means your thorax stays better protected for longer.
@@big_fella1548 oh my bad lol, I just came back after a long break. I thought front plates counted things like stomach, and that soft armor covered the arms?

Best 2 armors without throat coverage but all throat armors either have useless add on armor or are ceramic
And the throat armour will never stop pmc ammo

Banshee is also tier 2 soft armor
but how else are they going to push you to buy their latest product if it doesn't give you a subtle advantage?
Buy it off flea. Trade 1 hextac from ragman level 4 for 3 rolers take the plates out put it in the cpc and sell the hextac. Should be 160k in total
but playing arena can decrease your trader rep. they still havent fixed that issue
@@theendurance i haven't lost any rep within the last few days, still haven't gotten the lost rep back but at least i don't lose anymore
Not going to lie i wear the black rig for the drip and the 4x3 long slots in the rig. I am a 45 round mag enjoy.
Doesnt matter what you wear, youll get head, neck'd, 1 tap.

ANA m2 goes for 15 GP coins, comes with plates and has class 3 soft armor, OTV goes for 9 gp coins.
