Oh man. I would give anything to watch a production/mixing course from you. Atlas, along with tracks from The Midnight and Timecop1983, is the reason I'm making music today. "Designer by day, music producer by night" really resonated with me and made me believe one can make amazing music as a hobby. I wish you have more videos like this up your sleeve. Thank you!
Very insightful about your influences and there is a lot of commonality to 80's pop that I like (and some you mentioned that I need to go check out). I graduated highschool in 94 so I'm slightly older than you, but the fact that you lusted after and finally acquired a DMC-12 suggests we could have beers and get along pretty well!
Sasha inspiration too? Funny cause I was born in 2003 but I even know many of the 90s artists/bands you mentioned as well, great vid for sure. (Also, I thought Sasha and Chicane for example were more (classic) Progressive Trance and not Prog House, which I like too, including some older deadmau5 tracks like Faxing Berlin)
Hey everyone, I am a new synthwave artist. I know you always see the same posts, "Check out my music! blah blah blah new single.." I'm not going to do that! But what I am going to say is, I love the synthwave community. When you find me I will be so happy! When I play shows for you with my lights and sounds! And see you in the crowd enjoying yourself! I'm going to smile and think of this post! So nice to meet you!

Awesome, I think you picked the best 3!
Oooh what a cliffhanger. Could you release the full footage for us fans? Really interested in the Ableton section of the talk.
Same here!
This guy is a genius...I can't believe he's just sitting there, chatting about what powers his engine. Amazing.
Me gustaría que este estilo de los 80s se ponga de moda, no solo porque si, sino porque es realmente muy bueno y merece ser apreciado.
This is so cool, Col! Thanks for sharing 💖
Awesome. Thanks for posting this. It is inspiring. You need to post the rest.
Awesome to hear the story behind the music, thank you
AH MAN! I want to hear the rest of that - super interesting stuff. Have also been a HUGE 80s fan since I can remember
I didn't even born in 80's but I don't know why I'm fascinated by that Decade specially Music 📼💙💙
This is really cool! Just from what I heard there was a lot that seems very helpful. I’d really love to be able to hear the full presentation
Thanks Col, any chance of part 2? Thanks to you I’ve been getting into Tangerine Dream and have just invested in Ableton
